It was only a fail if you didn't learn anything. One thing, when cooking over an open fire let the flames die right down and cook over the hot coals….and take a second beer.

Don't you hate it when you go camping and you burn your asparagus? That really is my biggest concern when I go camping. This is clickbait nonsense. The title led me to believe you were in a life or death situation due to being ill prepared, not burning some damn asparagus.

Cool video man. Wanting to get into the camping world and soaking up all I can. Keep it up, really liking the different styles of videos though mainly the technical ones purely because I'm trying to soak up the info. 👍

I burnt my asparagus on the grill once, turns out for me anyways they didn’t taste half bad lol, you did fine, I don’t personally do any backpacking because I have a family of four, so we car camp. But you gave me an idea with the skewers!

Check out Strawberry mountain fuel bricks for a wood source! They are from Oregon and cheap! I’m from Arizona but I want to order some! They make for easy packing and last long and burn hot.

That’s a sweet tent and vestibule. For quick and easy grilling, take a look at the coghlan grill ($6). Can’t beat its convenience and price. Coghlan's Pack Grill https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001OPHA0S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ytlBCb2C8D78C

If you have a Costco membership, try some ribeye cap steaks. They are essentially steaks made by trimming the most tender part of the ribeye (the cap aka the spinalis). Keep the great vids coming. Looking forward to watching vlogs from your Vegas trip. It’s nice to change things up every now and then.
