A couple years ago, I researched boards for a month, before I bought mine. I was not only looking at waist width, but also nose, tail, and radius, and then calculating what the width at the bindings would be… Got the widest board that I could find, but still can't quite lay it all the way over, without dragging toe. 😒 I remember watching one of Ryan's videos about him getting custom made boards, but I couldn't afford that.. 😭😭 Size 13 feet! Damn yoouuu!

on that snow you can carve also with a door…..LOL…. Carvers do not ride Softboots and Softboards! at hard snow conditions you can slide with that equipement only 😉

The cut off for 11 / 11.5 is a 25.8 waist width.. you can get away with no toe or heel drag…id say 12 or higher benefits from wides.

However, i notice my union force bindings are super tiny whereas my Ultras take up more space…so the size of your boots aswell as your bindings matter when minimizing toe/heel overhang

It's a shame a lot of good boards don't offer a wide version.
That's one of the reasons why I've still got my 2010 Atomic Hatchet Wide.

Wide boards are just wrong for carvin. Dont belive him. Change your angle to a more aggressive stance to make professional carves with bigger feet

is that right a wider board carves deeper i don't think that is right, i think a wider board makes it less efficient to keep on edge
    i might be wrong though

Anyone out there that can toss up some recommendations for 290+ width boards? I'm guessing Kapton's 312 is custom, but I'll take it if available. Sasquatch here.

WOW! 31.2 is massive! I'm on 27.5 right now and have always ridden wide boards but it seems this is the first time in snowboarding that really wide boards are becoming available. I love it since my boots are 12 and have always searched for a wide board that carves. Thanks for the info.

Hey, really appreciate the video. I wear a size 14 and I am having tons of problems with heel and toe overhang. I’m riding a Capita wide @ 26cm but I’m having a hard time finding much else wider. Do you have any recommendations?

Good in-depth tips, stiffer camber is good idea. I also found this video for toe side edge very helpful https://youtu.be/1sDubHOQibw
