Hey, with us today is Laura our inline
skating expert. and she will teach us some skating basics let’s get it on three wheels versus four wheel setups we Let’s get it on! three wheels vs. four wheels setup. We can see there are more and more three wheel setups coming on to the market and I ask myself why is it like that? Laura, tell me It’s actually quite a hot thing right now I also have that myself and I really like it. It’s mainly because the frame is a lot shorter which makes the skate a more maneuverable and playful And here we have a four wheel setup. Why would I take one with four wheels? You say that that are more maneuverable. But does this have something that makes four wheels better? yeah actually, you see most speed skaters would actually perfer four wheel frames. But with a bit bigger wheel size than this. And that is because you get more directional strides which makes you able to use a lot more strength. so especially for speed skaters it is really nice but you do have to have the
technique for it. Okay, but it is alright to start on a three wheel setup I can see that a lot of these skates have 100 milimeter wheels and that seems to be quite big! Yeah, you definitely can. We see that it works really fine. You do get a lot higher from the ground so in a start it might feel a
little bit wobbly But once you get a bit used to it then it will most of the time works out really fine We also have actually some
that already start from 90mm If you think that 100mm or 110mm is a little bit too big. okay that sounds nice. A three wheel setup is exciting.
