This move has dancers like Kida the Great, celebrities like Billie Eilish, and even the weather man from Fox 46 blowin’ up your news feed! You know its lit when Nick does it. So what is it, and how do you do it? Yo what’s good yall! I’m Isaiah Sosho, aka Kang Forever, of the Future Kingz and I created the Kangsta Wok Before we get into all of that, this video is powered by STEEZY Studio If you suck at dancing and want to learn how to not have two left feet, we have great news for you! With our brand new Intro To Dance Program, we break down step-by-step everything you need with guided and accessible classes to blossom you from a loser wallflower into the life of a party! Now back to the video: So what is the Kangsta Wok? You’re going down level by level as you step forward, as if you’re walking down an escalator. But on every other step add a head bob to initiate your level drop We wanted to know more about where this dance came from so we talked to the creator himself: Zaya Sosho. I created the Kangsta Wok 3 years ago. We were in Las Vegas, me and my buddies Ayo and Tayo, Vanilla Trill and my best friend Renzo While we were cyphering, we were shooting a video one night and I saw Vanilla Trill doing this thing called the dip and he was bouncing up and down like this and I was like, “Yo thats hard!” So it inspired me to create the Kangsta Wok. So why is the Kangsta Wok spelled like that? Um, kinda funny, I’m not a gang bang or anything like that. I’m not a gangster But because we call ourselves kings, we switch it up we call ourselves Kangstas! Right? And the wok came from the spelling W O K which is a reference to this cooking pot So I used to work at Panda Express and there are these big heavy woks that we used to cook the teriyaki chicken and the orange chicken and the chow mein and so like you put the sauce in there. When you walk in like a Kangsta, you walk in with the sauce so its the KangstaWok Sauce. You feel me? Its just a play on words. The KangstaWok was first recorded in December 22nd 2016 in this video. Oh man that video was certified trash! That video was so booty! When I did that video, only like 8 people noticed it and really appreciated it so I kept trying to find slick ways to throw the KangstaWok into my choreography and one day we were just back stage with Billy Billie Eilish, and this was crazy, I dont know what possessed me to do it but I asked Billie Eilish to do it and she did it with us and it was awesome. A few days after that, I’m scrolling on my Instagram and Kida The Great is doing the KangstaWok in his kitchen with his sister Savannah. and I’m like oh my god! Like what the heck? Like Kida is one of my favorite dancers in the world! and then after that, I saw it being done in France with the Ghetto Twins and then my idols Les Twins! As I was meeting them for the first time they were doing the Kangstawok up to a handshake. So like its just been surreal like that move has really brought me a lot closer to a lot of the people that I looked up to as an artist. I guess it went worldwide from there. Everybodys doing the KangstaWok so I’m just a happy dude. I’m trying to see all yall hit that KangstaWok so I taught a class with STEEZY ok? So make sure that you guys check that out and you guys make videos of you guys hittin that KangstaWok for me and tag me @kangfrvr and tag STEEZY ok?! Im trying to see all yall hit that so yall better make sure that yall heh Thank you so much for watching this video. See you next week!
