[Applause] [Applause] that's the angle and he could go off we splendid while this time he's very rounded and there's enough room to go around the back of this pink this is not easy to hit that is a beauty nice cannon here give himself an early chance [Applause] one what another incredible long pot almost straight this red incredible shot he said some good ones what went out that was the toughest one but he's got a look at the retina at the baulk cushion which tells me maybe that red doesn't go to the right middle well how did he make that angle that was amazing maybe this building should be replaced so widely he ever you were right Jonah was born Elaine was when sitting on what Lisa Kuhne again best shots right up there were the best shots I've seen at the crucible [Applause] yeah such a simple shot was not put played to perfection yeah the way please he almost played it thinking and deliberately this is good reporters we've seen no tournament he's got a string a few together here what c-can he get enough side on it yet him imagine he play this with pace Dennis no he's not going that way he's going off the one cushion this would be some hit nice gift there's only a little bit of the yellow sticking out hope that the chances come to him didn't have to go hunting early on well Ricky Wilden gave him the opportunity to play that shot but still incredible cueing when he's cueing well these are just the sort of long balls that he knocks in on a regular basis slight angle he's gonna play this quite firm which makes it more difficult wonderful top draw this easing around the blacks ball area again like these you know breakfast every morning look at the determination on his face though yeah Alucard supported the green a few shorts ago that was up there that was as Peter says even better that's a shot he played there's the check side this looks very good this looks excellent what a fantastic shot that is way to perfection and he's got Markov ooh now in all kinds of trouble all the best trying that bought this [Applause] they played that in such a way shot to nothing if he misses the potted bubbles and goes safe and more than like the other potting opportunity when he next comes to the table Oh unless you play [Applause] that's the best shot on the match so far absolutely brilliant shot from Barry Hawkins well played a shot I was thinking but I don't think that song you know it's just to give you an idea what he was thinking about but I don't think the angles there he's looking at it again well the way he's going now he's gonna hit just cut the cushions here do you see here we go there's one two three four cushions is he gonna get away with it what an escape that was because he'd worked out he couldn't get to that red that was near the right corner pocket to land on that was a terrific escape well that is one of the very best teachers who you see within this entire world championship that was absolutely brilliant and that could well be end of break he's trying to power this round off three cushions with lots of right hand side into the Reds this is gonna take some doing well is he on this back where it if that cue ball runs this is a see many better shots isn't and as I said before as we see this again what a hot look at the way the Reds are he's gone favorite for this frame runner Sullivan you could play the red slow and drop him behind the blue but he can't do it the blues too far off the cushion so you can tell by his face water pot that was fantastic he's unlucky not to be on the blue they're shot of the championship so far you'd have to say I mean he played with a bit of safety in mind [Applause] watching John Higgins in his chair and his he nodded an appreciation and resign Minh the piglets bring the black off as well okay was a pretty much a natural angle but he had to put that pink to keep his hopes alive for winning this look at this shot he's played we looked at this shot we've tried there deserve to be on a red oh this is the best shot at the match so far from that angle up only to pop the green but to open the Reds and then two shots later but it looks as if that's what he's going to play now this will be some shot if he pulls this off and here the white comes he's found the gap has he got a drop of a red this could be great yeah absolutely fabulous there [Applause] [Applause] they say the perfect example of Mark Allen's Q power deep screw lots of right hand side could not have played that any better wonderful shot a natural cannon it is he's a rock so he knew exactly what he was doing dropping his confidence his own ability to land on the blue and that is the shot of the morning there won't be one better is he going for this red figures he and he'll be on the black because then he's on the black workers shot leaders cosmic-ray there well I didn't see this morning's session but I'm going to lemon see that's one of the shots of the match so far to put that clean without touching their black was an incredible shot absolutely in fact that's one of the best safety shots and this year's championship that was a beauty picked up because he had to avoid the double kiss and he's just managed that by the side he's missed the pink that was a gem he's gonna take this on as he can he see enough of the red to the left of the pink – they get that from was amazing absolutely Linda bishop wonderful job to jerk that full length of the table I mean the swerve just kicked in right at the very end to get the pot in angle brilliant shot watch this here we go goes out on the pink roundabout now there's the swerve and of course it hit was run inside an oxidant brilliant shot the keyboards gonna go towards the brown if he puts it composites slow this is tough it's got to play a firm just itza steady himself this yellow is a lot easier than the black but take a breath played into the corner what a shot this is what I suggest you know he's trying to knock the red in with the red he's just playing and look at this shot if this comes off what the shock of this year's championship in fact I'd go as far to say one of the best shots I've seen in the history of The Crucible Theatre not only to pull it off but to get on the black incredible yeah even to see it never mind the line never mind the pace Ted wait by jingo what a shot

I'll tell you what: had #1 NOT been #1, hell if any other shot being #1, there would havve been hell to pay, GTK.

Seriously, there are precious few plays of any kind in any sport that can be used to define the greatest, and I think we saw one when Williams did what he do.

    The mind, she boggles.

Can someone explain why #2 is #2? is it just because it's right against the rail (giving less area to hit the cue) and is the full length of the table? Other shots looked better but is #2 really deserving of #2?

Yes that shot of Williams at the end was wonderfully executed but it seems there would be no red on if he missed so he thought why not try it. Not really a risky shot

    J. Robertson shot (number 25) is much better and difficult than Ronnies (number 14). But the fact that hes called Ronnie OSullivan makes it look much better to everyone. Honestly i think if Ronnie had done J.Robertson shot it would be in the number 2 of this list only after M.Williams.

Well, the shot of the tournament for me was the double of the blue ball by Walden to steal the 13th frame from Trump, with the white against the left hand cushion behind the balk line, the blue residing at the bottom cushion behind the black spot, potting it up to the right middle.
