So Westbrook says the reason he's underrated is cuz he's so quiet, and then Westbrook says Marvin Harrison ISN'T underrated, just quiet.

    … a'ight…

There should be criteria for what actually constitutes the term "underrated". For example, in my opinion hall of famers cannot be deemed as underrated as they have already been recognized. Just because they are not well known by the younger generation of football fans doesn't mean that they're underrated.

People forget the football in that era was like a beach ball. When Bart Star was playing it wasn't the same one we have today. It was like throwing big lump. Today's football is aerodynamic.

Don Maynard is hugely underrated. He was the NFL's all-time leader in receiving yards when he left the NFL in 1973 and remained so for another 13 years afterwards. He probably gets overlooked because he played with Joe Namath, who overshadows everyone and everything Jets-related from mid to late 60s. Namath and Maynard might've been the best QB-WR duo in pro football during that time.

#1 and #2 aren't even on the list. Don Hutson caught passes for 1,211 yards and 17 touchdowns in 1942. In 11 games! In a season when the #2 guy had 571 yards and 8 touchdowns. He led the league in scoring 5 times, led the league in touchdowns 8 times, led the league in receptions 8 times, led the league in receiving yards 7 times, and held the record for career receiving touchdowns for over 40 years. Yet he's never mentioned when it comes to all time greatest receivers. Fran Tarkenton owned every passing record in the world when he retired but nobody ever talks about him either.

Andre Reed is overrated. He was very good and lasted a long time. But Rice, Sharpe, Irvin, Carter, Brown, Bruce, Galloway, Rison, Herman Moore ….. Who was he better than?

The fact that Starr is in the same argument for best Packers QB alongside fun-but-can't-get-it-done Favre and Rodgers says it all, especially this week with all the stories coming out of Green Bay. He was clearly a winner and a leader.
