think of theme parks and rides instantly. They say Orlando is the theme park capital
of the world and with the four Walt Disney World theme parks, the two parks at the Universal
Orlando Resort, Seaworld and other smaller amusement attractions, there’s plenty of
parks and rides all within minutes of each other. Some of these rides are more tame than others
but Orlando is home to quite a few thrill rides and roller coasters. If you’re a real thrill seeker, there’s
some pretty fast ones for that matter but have you ever wondered which ride in Orlando
is actually the fastest? Well you’re about to find out. So today in order of speed, we’re gonna
be counting down the Top 10 Fastest Thrill Rides and Roller Coasters in Orlando! Number 10
We’re gonna start the list off at Fun Spot America Kissimmee. This is the only family run amusement park
in the Orlando area which is home to the Mine Blower- the newest ride on the list. Mine Blower opened on June 23rd, 2017 and
is a hybrid wood and steel roller coaster manufactured by the Gravity Group. The highlight of Mine Blower is the Zero G-
Roll which makes it the only wooden coaster in Florida to go upside down. As you descend down the 83 foot tall drop,
prepare to experience many tight over banked turns and a lot of air time. You’ll fly across the coaster track reaching
a top speed of 49 miles per hour. Mine Blower does fall on the shorter end with
a ride time of about 1 minute and 20 seconds but from start to finish, the experience is
packed with non stop motion that’s bound to satisfy any thrill seeker. Number 9
Heading over to Islands of Adventure at Universal Orlando, we’ll find the only water ride
on the list. Jurassic Park River Adventure opened on May
28th, 1999 and it’s definitely a Universal classic. As you board your raft, the ride starts off
as a leisure water cruise exploring the iconic world of Jurassic Park. After you pass some animatronic dinosaurs
and head up the lift hill into the show building, there’s only one way out. You’ll soon find yourself heading down an
85 foot drop at a 51 degree angle, reaching top speeds of up to 50 miles per hour as you
hit the splashdown. At the time when it was built, the drop was
the tallest found on a water ride in a theme park, and still remains one of the tallest
to this day. Jurassic Park River Adventure comes in with
the longest ride time on the list at 6 minutes and 30 seconds and you may wanna bring a towel
with you on this one because you may get a little wet. Number 8
Next at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World, the park is home to Expedition
Everest: Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. The ride opened on April 7th, 2006 and it
currently holds the record for being the most expensive roller coaster ever built in the
world. This is one of the most immersive roller coasters
on the list which combines detailed theming, a story and thrill. The coaster track is cleverly designed right
into the architecture of the mountain with the experience taking place both inside and
out. This coaster has everything from twists and
turns through caverns, to a set of broken rail tracks which halt the ride and forces
you to roll back. You’ll plunge backwards into a helix, giving
you the feeling you’re going upside down then it eventually dives down the largest
drop and reaches top speeds of 50 miles per hour. With all the thematic, immersive elements
plus the thrill, this is one coaster that will definitely leave you wanting more! Number 7
Sea World is home to a few major roller coasters in the Orlando area which includes Manta,
the B&M flying coaster. Manta opened on May 22nd, 2009 and it’s
hard to miss since it’s one of the first things you see when you enter the park. Once you’re loaded into the ride vehicles,
it lifts you into flying position then you’re on your way up the 140 foot lift hill. Before you know it, you’re dropping 113
feet reaching a top speed of up to 56 miles per hour. Manta really makes you feel like your flying
and with a total of four inversions including a pretzel loop right after the drop and a
corkscrew, you soar across this coaster track. It has a ride time of about 2 minutes and
30 seconds and during the last quarter of the ride, you really get interact with the
theming and landscaping around it, especially with that water feature. If you’re on the right side of the train,
it really feels like you might just touch the water. Manta keeps your adrenaline going the entire
time and it’s a really fun coaster that you’ll definitely wanna ride more than once! Number 6
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World, Sunset Blvd is home to Rockin’
Rollercoaster staring Aerosmith. The ride opened on July 28th, 1999 and it’s
the only fully enclosed coaster on the list. This Vekoma launch coaster builds the anticipation
as you wait for the launch. Before you know it you’re going from 0 to
57 miles per hour in a mere 2.8 seconds. While you’re rocking to the beat of the
Aerosmith soundtrack, there’s three inversion on the ride; two rollover loops that happen
just after the launch and one corkscrew near the end- its the only coaster on Walt Disney
World property that actually goes upside down. Most of the one minute and 22 second ride
takes place in compete darkness which definitely adds to the thrill. Now even though this coaster is almost 20
years old, it’s still remained fairly smooth but still make sure you keep your head back
for the most comfortable experience getting to that premiere. Number 5
Staying at Walt Disney World, we’ll make our way into Future World at Epcot, where
its home to the fastest ride at Walt Disney World. Test Track officially opened on March 17th,
1999 and it’s one of the more unique ride systems on the list. This slot car style ride gives you the opportunity
to design your own Chevrolet vehicle, getting a chance to test its design through the rides
indoor and outdoor performance courses. Your journey starts off slow, but as you get
going you’ll experience some pretty quick accelerations and stops through the indoor
show scenes. They aren’t too thrilling, but they do prepare
you for the highlight and the most thrilling part of the ride. Once your car exits the show building and
heads outside, prepare to race around multiple banked turns as your car reaches a top speed
of 64.9 miles per hour. You’ll definitely feel in the wind in your
hair on this one. With a ride time of about 5 minutes, Test
Track has a little something for everyone, especially for the thrill seeker! Number 4
Heading back to Seaworld, next we’ll take a look at Kraken Unleashed, the B&M floor-less
coaster. Kraken Unleashed originally opened as just
Kraken on June 1st, 2000 and was Sea World’s first roller coaster. Soaring 153 feet over the park, your train
will climb to the top of the lift hill where it’ll drop 144 feet reaching tops speeds
of up to 65 miles per hour. Now this coaster does have a great layout
and its also the 2nd longest floor-less coaster in the world. Kraken features a total of 7 inversions which
include two vertical loops, a cobra roll, a zero g roll, a dive loop and a corkscrew. It’s a pretty intense coaster, not due to
speed but just based on how rough the ride can be at times, but it’s still a lot of
fun. With it being an exposed coaster, a unique
element of Kraken is that your train goes through multiple trenches and through an enclosed
tunnel which definitely adds to the thrill of this coaster. Number 3
Universal Studios Florida is home to the next ride which can be found in the Production
Central area of the park. Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit opened on August
19th, 2009 and although this 90 degree lift hill may look intimidating, this coaster is
a lot of fun. After you reach the top of the 167 foot lift
hill, you’ll travel down the drop at speeds of 65 miles per hour as your ride vehicle
then makes its way through the non-inverting loop. Even though you never actually go upside down
on this ride, you’ll find yourself twisting and turning through the rest of the track
with a few more smaller drops on the way. Lately it hasn’t been the smoother coaster
out there but the closer to the front you sit, the smoother the ride is. Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit has a ride time
of 1 minute and 45 seconds and it’s nothing short of a thrilling Universal experience. Number 2
Staying at Universal Orlando and heading back to Islands of Adventure, Marvel Superhero
Island is home to the fastest ride at Universal. The Incredible Hulk Coaster opened with the
park on May 28th, 1999 and is a B&M sitting coaster. Now the Hulk is pretty intense- as you head
through the lift tunnel, get ready to be launched at speeds of 40 miles per hour in just 2 seconds,
then you’ll find yourself reaching a top speed of 67 miles per hour. The coaster takes you for a spin and it has
7 inversions including a zero-g roll, a cobra roll, two vertical loops and two corkscrews. In 2016, the Incredible Hulk received a brand
new track giving you a much smoother experience on this coaster. With a ride time of one minute and 15 seconds,
the adrenaline pumps right through you the entire time and you’ll definitely wanna
ride this coaster again. Number 1
The fastest ride can be found at Seaworld and it might just be the best coaster experience
in Orlando. Mako opened on June 10th, 2016 and is a B&M
hyper coaster. Soaring 200 feet over the park, Mako also
drops you 200 feet where you’ll then top speeds of 73 miles per hour. The main draw of a hyper coaster is their
speed and airtime achieved by several hills in the track layout. Just looking at Mako, there’s no shortage
of these airtime hills along the coaster track. It’s a very smooth 2 and a half minute ride
with a few over banked turns, some really great airtime and its just a lot of fun; you
expect nothing less from a B&M Hyper Coaster. Mako is an exhilarating coaster that you could
easily ride over and over again so if you’re looking for the ultimate thrill ride in Orlando,
then look no further than Mako. So how many rides on this list have you been
on? Which one is your favorite? I’d love to know. Leave a comment down below to start a conversion

Rip rockin is super duper fun! The lift was my favorite, especially because I was in the last row!! My absolute favorite tho was the Incredible Hulk because who wouldn’t like it? The only thing is that the wait is inside and there wasn’t any AC and was super crowded so it was incredibly hot!!!

Btw when I got to fun spot I went on the mine coster then a hour later I was going to go on it again but then they closed down the ride and there was people on the tracks with flashlights because it was night then they sent the coster on a test run with nobody on it and then just closed it down completely
