This is the IDP Call Center, welcome. I am one of the displaced people who just returned to Qayyarah after fleeing to Tikrit. [COUGHS] The smoke here is killing us. I have sick children because of the burning oil wells. My problems started the day we got back to our homes and ISIS had burned the wells… There’s eighteen burning oil wells, can’t anyone help? The people here are in danger! This is the IDP Call Center, welcome. Our camps have no services at all. There’s no sanitation. Our tent is our bathroom, our kitchen, and our bedroom. If they send us back there’s no place to go but the street. Our houses are burnt and destroyed. Where are we supposed to go? Dear sister, I am in Al Mosul and I am in danger. They took our IDs, our possessions, they forced us out of our home and destroyed our belongings. How can we escape from Mosul? Tell me, friend, which family member are you reporting as missing? My grandmother… We lost her during the displacement… Do you have a pen and paper? Yes. Ok, I’m going to give you a phone number… It’s an organization’s phone number. They can help you search for people who have gone missing during the fighting and displacement.
