I think some of the exercises are pointless.. no offence.. they don't really have anything to do with technique or target the muscles you use in speed skating….

You can just rollerblade to get better. Please don't do this at the gym, it's people like you that give it a bad name. To improve you strength though wear weights while you skate..10 lbs, and do a bunch of sit ups when ever you can, say hello to indian speed skating team

Because when you are skating, you usually use your hands for help…but you right, use to only legs is hardlier
while jumping, why use hands to help pushing yourself up ? Should't you be using your legs only ? I call that cheating.
