I would say Northug in falun 2015 on the 50km is way more epic.

Just because they are close doesn't make them epic!

Are you kidding me? The best finish to a ski race…of all time…. had to be the 1982 World Championships in Olso, men's 4 x 15 race. The Soviets crashed into Odvar Bra in the final 100 meters, Bra broke a pole and the Soviet went down and got back up. Now it's a race to see the Soviet close after falling to Bra with a broken pole. Bra suddenly gets tossed a new pole by a coach and the both converge on the finish with Bra winning by 1/100th of a second photo finish. To top it all off, world famous ski announcer, Jan Lillilian falls off his chair he's going so berserk perched 3 meters up and falls into the snow over the track. It was Great!!!!! Go to the Olso ski museum and you can see this race on video.

The most epic finish isn't even included. Juha Mieto vs Thomas Wassberg, Lake Placid 1980.

The 50k in Nagano was pretty epic too, even though it wasn't as close as these ones.
