Why do you position the strobe so far from the model ?

    Great video!
How do you handle the white balance between sunlight and flash? Do you do a custom white balance?

Nice video, Just what I needed starting out with HSS. But I have a question, As some of us may be on a tight budget like me, affording that high power flashes may not be an option. Do you think this is possible with a Yongnuo 685 (grade 60)? Costed my 100ish $. Would be awaiting a reply. Cheers

As far as I know the Strobes you used need an external power system. What did you use? Thanks.

That live demonstration of the ambient and flash balancing was brilliant! Great job!

Just one suggestion – Please lower the volume of background music in your next videos. It's too loud compared to your voice, so one has to constantly fiddle with the volume button.

Love your video. I am contemplating wheather or not to buy a new battery for outdoor strobe shooting. I have a charger which my sister gave me and strobes also. It's alot to carry and heavy if you don't have an assistant.

Are the final photos shown in-between the videos are colour corrected or they are RAW files? Just curious :). Amazing explanation by the way. Thanks a lot.

hey ed, Thanks for the great tip. One question.. In a situation where a flash is not available, what would be your suggestions/ tips/ workarounds to take a good enough photo in the same background ? Thanks 🙂

Hypothetically, couldn't you do both shots and mask her out, so that you still get the brightness and detail on the model as well as the clear, saturated background?

Oh, Hey! I recognize this place! Lived a few years in Carson City. Grew up in the Eastern Sierra. Been to Tahoe plenty of times! I'm loving the look of this style! Bein in Los Angeles, I get way more cloudless, harsh sunlight than I care for. I finally dug out my Yuongnuo speedlight from my closet, and got a Neewer wireless trigger from Amazon a few weeks ago. Now I gotta' head to Venice Beach and try this out!

Hello, good video! What flash do you use? Is Super Sync? I see that you only fire up to 250. Greetings Izuky
