Sure, she'll probably divorce me after she' becomes a citizen, but I"ll have made 100k that YOU aint made. 🙂 and I'll have enough boarding house income to retire upon, too, without having to live in the third world, either.

I lived in an old minivan here, for 3 years, not long ago, on 5k a year, as I finished college.I'd have to get nearly naked, wrap up in a dampened sheet, run a fan off of a 12 volt car battery. I could not trust the car's battery to not be drained. No shade in my area, the car would get stinking ho during the day and not cool off before midnight/1 Am. I tinted the windows myself and had to use a sleep mask, earplugs, and a sedative, every night. I drew food stamps, staples from the Food Bank, ate lunch at a church, supper at the SA mission. It sucked, but by saving my college loans, I was able to bring here an Asian Dentist, half my age. She gives me 30k a year from her salary as a dental hygienist, which let my buy my first boarding house. 🙂 If you;'re worth a hoot, you'll get a woman who's worth a hoot and have a life that's quite nice, while letting you bank 30k a year or more, for your retirement, your kid's college, etc.

try OK summers. it doesn't get down to 90F at NIGHT, many nights and days can reach 110F, muggy, too. The notorious OK winds are absent in the summer, unless you're in a tornado. It's dry enough here that bugs are only a problem if you camp near a water source.

The Overnighter by Roadie Products would have been useful in this situation. Keeps rain and bugs out but allows for better ventilation. Www.roadieproducts.com
