I have the Fisher XLS which is the same as a Wideout. I love it. I also have a couple driveways just like that mountain driveway you have. Always drive straight to the top and come down. For instances like that it saves a lot of time to just make one pass. And it’s great being able to scoop when you want and still be able to turn the plow, which you can’t do with a V-plow. You need a lot of weight in the back. A lot of people load up the back with salt buckets. I go to a precast concrete place and have them put a 2000 lb block in the back and the truck is a monster.

Love the video but is it just me that thinks it's irresponsible to drive without lights in weather/conditions like that? Even if it's mostly on private roads?

And older generations say us millennials are lazy and entitled. Pfffffffffff. You should build an outdoor wood burner boiler with an attatched radiator or waste oil burner for your shop to keep warm.

I love my WideOut XL, 8.5 to 11' plowing width. Windrowing is much easier and a lot more snow stays on the blade, so much less clean up passes. Draw backs are only its price, $7k, and its weight 1,100lbs… Some people complain about the controller but I never really has a problem with it other than left wing was always a little faster than right wing due to hydraulics.

I plow with a wester wide out plow in Canada the ability to scoop and put the side blades out saves on so much plow time, no need to make extra clean up passes and when fully extended it can make a plow most laneways in 2 passes very wide.

If you do a lot of driveways I suggest getting a back blade on the plow, small piece of steel hat makes a very clean back drag on asphalt.
