I'm the alpha male and Kate's the alpha female and whatever you do never get between a man and his dog this afternoon is gonna be a really big day for our puppy Jack he's five months almost six months old now you're gonna try to get him trained to run along with the team if you don't train these dogs up ahead of time you can find yourself in a pretty bad situation with no leaders and no trained dogs for Jack today is about getting familiar with running in and around the team and also starting to build confidence Jeep oh boy a few more days I could put them in just a small little team on the way home a little robbing the harness and see how he does dogs are probably the most important part of our lifestyle out here they provide us with our transportation we're using for free for me probably one of the most important things there's sir my companions what's so excited boy straight this year the river i scammed up right to the bank it's a lot of Holloway's here it's the stuff you got to worry about with the dogs okay there they fall into that that's when a shoulder gets blown out jambalaya supposes a couple of different problems I can get through it but it's very easy to hurt a dog when you're going through rough jumbled ice and I'm really concerned about taking care of my dogs because they're my work force they are they are everything to me in the wintertime making sure they don't get hurt is critically important to me don't try and go nice and slow for this okay let's go you guys are trail breaking machines yeah let's go the dogs are our buddies but they're also a tool they're a piece of machinery and once I hook them up and go I know I'm gonna make it to wherever I'm going son of a bitch I'm gonna go hook up about ten dogs and we'll just drag it back to the shop with the 10 dog and then go back with the dogs and get a load of wood with them I probably should have done that in the first place you guys ready to go perform triple-a services that a boy straight ahead those 10 dogs ran with that snow machine home and it was a good feeling to see my dogs in shape pulling the snow machine home with no problems at all boys I don't want to rely on that equipment anymore to do a quick job I'm gonna use my dogs because they're reliable

Specifically, Huskies are notorious for being runaways and wanderers. It’s literally bred into them to travel long distances. It’s written in their DNA. An unhappy Husky is one who doesn’t have a job or enough exercise. These dogs are living the dream and the HUMAN doubters are only projecting their own point of view onto a species not like themselves. So very human of us to do…

Great video. that proves how man's inadequacies are dependent on the endurance of these dogs ( and their willingness to cooperate).
It's been proven the dogs can reprogram" their bodies' responses to stress, something humans can't do.

Its so nice to see people who treat their dogs right, there are so many bad examples. Please dont EVER go on a dog sled tourist tour. those animals do not necessarily have a good life.

I don’t like how he called his dogs ‘a piece of machinery’ and called them ‘tools’, they are living things and are not machines. Dogs have their own opinions on things and they have their own emotions. One dog might not like dog sledding but it knows it has too for whatever reason. And maybe if that guy filled his snowmobile with some oil that was made for the weather than maybe he would get where he needed to be without any trouble.

I love seeing these dogs working and running and helping out like they were made to do, its so sad to see the companies that use them just to make a profit off of tourist.

"They provide us our transportation." Isn't that what snow mobiles and cats are for?

I hope they don't make them travel too far.

"They love it! They're born to do it!" If that's the case it shouldn't require any training.

He literally refers to the dogs as a "tool".
