we're here in teen early-season 10th of December 2010 we're filming updates for the ski school apps it can often be touch-and-go snow wise early season but a teen high altitude and cold weather keeps the snow really nice great to be skiing again what's not to like up to the grandma all the way back down to the lac pretty much the whole areas open popovers about is there have a bit of lunch and ski back walking you ask for top five questions as a ski instructor you get asked definitely the most frequent is what you do in the summer secondly it's probably followed by what you doing this how long have you been here do you like your skis what do they do with the moguls in the summer why is it when it snows it only snows off piste and what that simply means so people think I'll get that hand do a good solid hold on kick spin snow let me show you what I'm talking about get yourself online download the apps get them on your phone and have the best information you can have 399 in your pocket that's a great kickstart to the winter it's not even Christmas and I got the ski legs back I think I deserve a bank joke

I've learned so much from your videos. You have a great teaching ability. I feel like I'm 10 steps ahead of most people with my minimal skiing experience. I'm so addicted. Can you recommend anywhere in the US or Alaska that I could go skiing now? I'm wishing my summer away. Also, if you'd ever like to get some videos from a beginner's point of view, I'd love to travel the world skiing for the entirety of the '13 ski season and putting my views on camera. Yay skiing!

I think it's just the camera angle, if I remember the skis are a 170 which is a good length piste ski for me.

Is it just me or at :50 you looked like you were using tiny skis for your height? Any reason for that?

Okay thanks a lot for replying. We have snow shovels but still need tracking devices etc. so I guess that will be the first equipment to get when we get there. We are going with some ski guides so maybe they can give us a safety course. To everyone who are going this year, have a nice trip, ski safe and have fun! πŸ™‚

The biggest advice I can give is to go on a avalanche awareness course with a professional, buy the safety equipment and learn how to use it, common sense is the best thing to keep with you all the time.

It's a very high resort so yes the skiing is good until the end of the season especially on the Glacier.

I'm going to tignes this friday alongwith a friend and we are going for backcountry skiing, but we are concerned about the avalanche risk. I have only been in tignes once before and it's a long time ago, so I was wondering if there are any specific areas to be extra careful about? Safety tips and tricks are appreciated as well :))

I was skiing here 8-15th Jan just after it had snowed. It is a great resort! I think I have been lucky to have had such great conditions in both of my two weeks of skiing experience.

@sohy3010 Glad you liked the video. #Skiing Tignes early season is a great choice and we know for a fact they are making a lot of artificial snow at the moment. Darren will be arriving in Tignes on the 9th of Dec so follow us on Twitter and Facebook (@SkiSchoolApp) for reports and updates on the conditions. Have a great trip.
