we're very lucky because we're the biggest ski area in the Canadian Rockies and the biggest in Banff National Park but there's also two of this great ski areas we got Norquay right out the side the town of Banff we have sunshine village about 20 minutes in the town of ban Lake Louise 35 minutes the town of maps you had three skiers in the National Park North Quay is the smallest of the three ski areas we find that people come to North Way for their first day just to get their legs underneath them we do have some guests that have come directly from the airport from overseas flights and they've come directly to back right up to North Quay to get the airplane Yaya's out of them we're really lucky where we're located we're in a narrow Valley so the wind blocked out from either sides when the Sun crests the mountains around us we warm up and it becomes very very comfortable skiing we have some of the best groomers I think in Western Canada 80% of our runs are groomed every night with Black Diamond runs groomed we have blue runs we have green runs groom just creates a phenomenal base which is great grippy snow what we're known for around North America is when North American chair big bumps very steep quite challenging terrain looks like we're skiing right into downtown BAM we offer up night skiing we start at 5 o'clock at night and goes until 10 o'clock and you'll also get an absolutely phenomenal view of Banff lit up at night Sunshine Village is right in the heart of the Canadian Rockies we're in the middle of UNESCO World Heritage Site so is it a unique and tranquil area we're on the Continental Divide what that means is we get a lot of abundant snowfall and the snow that falls stays throughout the year so we actually have North America's longest ski season most of our Resort is above the treeline which makes for incredible views so our snow stays that perfect light and dry throughout the season you're going to find everything from your easy green groomers all the way to lift accessible backcountry and that's called delirium dive in wild west where you actually need avalanche skills well at Sunshine Village we do have of course the sunshine Mountain Lodge which is the only ski-in ski-out lodging in Banff National Park we do have customizable retreat weekends for guests in the case of the yoga program it's a very restorative yoga in conjunction with ski so what we'll do is we'll come get you for the weekend have a healthy organic meal to start with and then continue the day with yoga and ski Lake Louise is truly unique we're in the center of Banff National Park so what you see here you could come back in 20 years and still see the same thing it's big its friendly wide open slopes I mean a busy day here is 5,000 people we got the 11 square miles of schedule terrain we have 4,000 children acres of trail that's an acre of space to yourself we've got green runs from the top of every chairlift fill the beginners don't get left down at the bottom they get to come up and get turned on by all of this and go wow I got to ski here we've got terrain to challenge the most hardcore expert and yet we've got terrain that can make somebody on holiday feel comfortable and we even have free guided Ski friends to take people around it started very small and it's going into an organization we have 135 ski friends now we do all levels and we have a lot of fun doing it week always called it friends or not hosts you come to Lake Louise you never ski alone you can always ski with a friend you'll make friends from people over the world when you're standing bounce want lift ticket will take you to three very distinct and very different skier look at it living proof the gods are scary nice keys here

Dang, I was there for 10 days in 2000 for my honeymoon; skied Sunshine & Louise, stayed at Douglas Fir, best time of my life!!! Really hope to return one day before I get much older.

Been here every year for 4 years on holiday and been to all resorts. Norquay is by far the steepest and usually doesn’t hold good Snow so often the runs become quite icy. Lake Louise is a wonderful resort with great runs and on the back side there is a lodge called Temple lodge which serves the best burgers in the world (my opinion). However lake Louise can become quite icy if their is not sufficient snow fall. Sunshine is my favourite resort (and my family’s)because There is always good snow and good burgers too 😄. Just so you know I am a snowboarder (preferred from skiing) but my family ski and they love it as well. This is by far my favourite place on the earth and I am writing this on the last day of my Holliday so I am very sad but next year I will hopefully be coming back!
