(wind howling) (engine growls) (radio beeps) – Hey, how much snow do
we got coming our way? – Looks like a blip, I got nothing here. – This place is abandoned? – Definitely. I swept
this area tons of times. It’s a ghost. (wind howling) (door creaks open) – Still a blip? – (over walkie) Screw you, buddy. (laughs) – Yeah I’m gonna go get the power on. – Honestly, though. The storm’s
not supposed to be here. I’ve got nothing on my system. – This place looks pretty old. Wasn’t it on the system anymore? – (over walkie) Decommission
facility coordinates are almost always retained. But I found this on a random sweep Might need some things- (lights switch on) – Right on. Alright. Let’s strip it down. (papers rustling) (ominous music) (machines power up) (machines beep) (glass breaks) (laughs) – It should warm up in
here now we got power. – (over walkie) Guys. – Yeah go ahead. – (over walkie) You should
come down to the lowest level. Found something. – What? – (over walkie) Just
come see for yourself. (ominous music) (low growling music) (liquid bubbling) – Don’t touch. – Did you see that? – I don’t know what this is. Let’s just get what we
can and get out of here. Nick, how we lookin? – (over walkie) Besides the
weather, we’re all clear. Re-fueled our rides, we’re good to go. – We found something. – (over walkie) Like what? Something good? – Something really fucking weird. – We got a carving. – (over walkie) Can I come see it? – Let’s just find the manifest and mine what we can from this place. Nick, stay put for now. – (over walkie) No. I want
to see this weird thing. Is it an artifact? Could
be worth something. – I doubt it. – Mark, you coming? – I’ll be right out. (ominous music intensifies) – Open up! – Door’s jammed! – I’ll get it fixed! You go get warm! (turns mic on) We’ll get it fixed. Go stay warm. – See you soon. – Door is fucked. – Listen to this. (tape recorder starts up) – …interesting properties. It hasn’t been long since we
discovered the structure but everyone seems affected
by it to some degree. It shows you things. Even I’m
tempted to do down there now. We’re waiting to get a clean
line through to HQ but – (static) …this storm. Matthews is dead. Berg…are missing. It’s over. I’ve called
off the research and I’m quarantining… I feel whatever was in that
well might be infectious. – Fuck. – Okay. No. We’re leaving. – Door is fucked. – Then we’ll torch through it. – Mark’s got the torch. – (tape) There’s nothing any of us can do. – Hey Mark, you copy? (static) – I’ll go get him. – Yeah but don’t touch anything. – I won’t! – Gonna try to get the
door open on my end. – Alright Nick, fire up our ride we’re getting our of here ASAP. (heavy static) Hey, Nick. (intense gasping static) Alright, Mark, Gareth get
your asses up here now. (static) Come on guys. (heavy static) Come on. (ominous ambience) – (voice) Bon is dead. I killed him. It’s only a matter of time before he- It doesn’t matter now. (liquid drips and churns) (churning) (heavy drone static) (underwater ambience) (door rattling open) (heavy drone static) – Hello? – (tape) There’s not many of us left now. I’ve locked up the room.
I’m gonna leave this place. Even now. I can hear it calling to me. I’d rather die from the elements than experience what’s happened to the others. (ominous music) (alien growling, hissing) (ominous, tribal music) (hissing)

No one seemed to be acting normal under the circumstances. An abandoned research facility with a locked door leading to an ancient artifact setting in a pool of liquid that responds to your movement was somehow less of a problem than potential "infection"? I swear 99% of horror is written by morons. LOL 🙂

Interesting, although it looks like another remake The Thing, and if it weren't for that backstory, I think this would be a bit confusing. As usual, great videography and the actors were belivable, but, again as usual, poor sound production. I don't know if you're trying to target mobile devices with earbuds, but all of your videos I've watched are too basey for my system. Even with headphones, I have to strain to understand everything.

Very professionally done. Just a couple of nits to pick:
    1) If salvage is their intention, why trash the place more by pushing over cabinets and throwing crap around?
    2) the tape voice-over is awkward, with no one actually listening to it, and switching tapes after the first bit. A couple of cuts of one person doing that would help, showing the other things happening while one person is replaying the tapes, and begins to realize that something is horribly wrong.
    3) I can only attribute the guy reaching his hand out to the thing instead of running to the "draw" that it supposedly has, but it wasn't conveyed that well in his particular case ( I was left reasoning "why the hell would anyone do that?" way after the fact).

Like I said, just picking a few nits. Overall, very professionally done all around.

The actors were good but this was uninspired. The camera work was boring and Lovecraftian themes have been done to death. Sorry, I know that's rude, but I just figure that if no one is telling filmmakers stuff like this then they will never improve. The team who made this film is not without talent, but they could benefit from working on their film-making skills more.

Visually a damn fine movie, but alas all there is. The story is barley there and the actors reaction to their surroundings is almost comical. I mean come on the control room looked like a meth head ransacked it looking for something to sell to get their next fix. But since this is way up in the Arctic so no meth heads and clearly salvage was not the intent or things would have been dismantled carefully. That leads us to one conclusion, someone went Wilford Brimley on the equipment. But our intrepid explorers act as if this is par for the course in a abandoned research facility. Humans are paranoid creatures and to have people act so nonchalant in what is clearly a environment that is screaming "EVUL BUTT SECKS FOUND HERE" is poor writing.

Absolutely loved this. This is reminiscent of HP love craft, eldritch horror, SPC, and this is for people who enjoy that type of tale. This type of story of about the experience and details, not the plot. A story like this comes with a lot of meta lore surrounding it. It's easy to fill in plot gaps if you're families with Cthulhu-esque lore. What a treat.
