hello world so today I'm back on the rollerblade twister edge X those of you that have seen my last few videos featuring these skates well know that I absolutely love how they roll but I have been experiencing an annoying pressure point on my right inside ankle off the back of the last twister video I received loads of useful comments and suggestions on how to release this pressure point firstly I want to say a huge thank you to everyone for trying to help me out I love this about the inline skating community so the method I went for in the end was to use a heat gun on the area and push the shell out long story short this really helped and I would say I'm pretty much pressure point free I'm going to be honest here they're not 100% comfortable but they are a huge improvement and it means I could finally roll these skates over consecutive days the heat gun method having never tried it before was definitely a bit of trial and error but after a couple of goes at it I'm happy with the result the flow you're watching at the moment was after my second attempt with the heat gun with my first attempt I was probably a bit too cautious and it didn't really make much difference to the pressure point but on the second attempt I pushed the shell out by a good few millimeters which ultimately did the trick using the heat gun method is not really that difficult but I confess I did make a few errors to start with therefore with this in mind I was shortly putting out a video on YouTube showing you what I did I'll include what you should do and probably shouldn't do based on my experience anyway thanks very much indeed for watching please do like and subscribe if you enjoyed this video or now let the rest of this flow play out see you soon you

Loved that thumbs up at the end. Magic!! far beter to be cautious with the heat gun than really mucked it up and sat there crying over twisted twisers. thought the title of this was going to be something about pressure release after the heat on thursday.

all the best mate. keep cool (and dry if its raining there like it is here today)

Yeah I also did the heat gun method on the same rb twister model/color and same pressure point and it was a huge improvement! It came out best when I took off the black ankle cuff and heated it from the outside while pushing the butt of the screw driver on the inside of the boot where my ankle bone usually sits. Now I actually like using them consecutively. Plus I use a pair of ennui booties for extra comfort πŸ‘

Nice to see UK based freeskating! I'm in Hull and have a lot of trouble with the surfaces of roads and paths. Some areas are nice smooth concrete, others are absolutely terrible.

Why did you switch from the fr1 to the twister edges?

Yay! I am so glad you gave the heat gun a try. IMO skates will never be 100% comfortable instead I think of it as a balance between performance and pleasure. Cheer!

What's your go to emergency stop if an old man walking a dog is suddenly blocking your way at high speed on a narrow path?
