Yeah, well then stop politicizing sports, you dumb libs or we'll boycott the Olympics, too. YOU divide within your own country among races, sexes, classes, sizes, religions, EVERYTHING. It is the heart and soul of identity politics.

As a former pro ice skater, I wish them the very best at the games! I feel for them because more than likely skating is the ONLY joy, pleasure (and escape) from the countries in which they unfortunately reside. I could be wrong but, this old show girl has no desire to live and drag on in Korea. With THAT being said and as much as I support them….my NUMBER ONE team: GO USA! Come home with lots of gold and baubles! Make momma proud!

This make me remember the korean movie Run off/Take off about a north korean ice hockey athlete who escape korea with her father but because of some reason they have to leave her younger sister behind. She became a South Korean Ice Hockey Athlete with some difficulties but manage to make it in competition and then you need to watch the movie if you want to know more because I tend to spill off everything.

I'm a proud American and I stand up for North Korea's right to national soverignty. Most of what is said about North Korea is western imperialist propaganda. Your own media has been proven again and again to be fraudelent, as are your government's and institutions. All proven corrupt and manipulators. LIARS AND WAR CRIMINALS. And now you trust your media when it comes to North Korea ? Westerners are the dumbest people on planet earth. Go eat a cheeseburger, watch football and take your medication, like the obedient slaves you are.

Sad – the games are not being broadcast in NK. At least publicly. They don't want the locals to see tall buildings, cars, stores – and a life they can't even dream about! Maybe beyond their comprehension?
But this shows how much NK wants peace or unification. They will milk this moment for all $$$$
