Life power. Life power. Life power. Life power?
Gleaming the Cube “Gleaming the Cube,” 对吗?
Anthony
Jeff
Love Park

The beauty is the outright declaration that the olympics will erode the culture, affirming what every core skater knows.
It turned snowboarding into a hyped up spectator sport. If you want to make a living in snowboarding, you have to be a social media whore, throw triple cork 1440s, start up and sell a brand, or own a chain of sporting goods stores.
    The olympics kills small shops.

I graduated from high-school in 1989. Around 90, 91 at the latest, I was skating in Hong Kong when my Navy ship stopped there- before or after docking in Subic Bay Philippines. Of course the British still had control at that time, but I was in the streets and the traffic was going in the same direction as London. I had that Jason Lee deck with the cartoon critters on it. Also the Navy base at Subic Bay P.I. had a downhill cement ditch and an unskateable half-pipe deep in the military housing. You could catch the bus there for 15cents, but when the sun went down, the monkeys would chase you out. *A.

RAD insight! Chinese skate culture was ideologically hardcore from the jump. It’s cool that it was never just a toy there. And Powell doesn’t get much credit but they always prove to be great for the culture when ppl recall history. Just bought Grosso’s lego deck(from the local shop blzrs gvl sc) it rips and these vids r cool.

Being taught to not be different or stand out, and then be introduced to skating which is ultimately about standing out, being different, style and creativity. LIFE FORCE!! The cube is gleamed…..Thanks Grosso! These keep me stoked and sober…..

I'm from China and started learning skateboarding last year. I was always complaining skateparks in my city are so far from my place.. but this video let me realize omg those infinite marble grounds in China are just the BEST! China actually got numerous open areas where you can practice lol

It must be said that those Chinese skaters who skated when it was very hard to be a individual in China, Much different than it would be here and I think they are some of the raddest guys on the planet for doing it their way.

Wonderful lens with which to view China. Went to LP in March and saw security guards and “no skating” signs everywhere. I did get to visit Fly and went to the Vans event a few weeks ago. I hope I get the opportunity some day to skate in Shanghai or Shenzhen.
