so the idea to make love notes came up and and its extras and outtakes a little snippets little gems little jewels if you will to yeah to kind of bridge the gap between love letters and we hope you enjoy them I used to watch our video just to watch your part because I’m on the forefront of it mom I don’t know what fashion is but I’m on the forefront of it I love that kind of stuff I mean all kids love people that are sincere you know and yeah a lot of videos there are sincere that you were just like whatever you were doing look like the right thing to be doing it was so not the right thing no but it was everybody loves it for me sometimes it’s just the skateboarding is just for me or just for me and my friends yeah it’s a it’s about to come robbery and that yeah it’s like I did it I did it to make you laugh or yeah to get you stoked so that you do yours or yeah yeah exactly I feed off of one another I’m not I’m not here trying to outdo you or or outdo somebody else where else but that’s what I wanted to do I mean skateboarding is competitive that’s just the way it is you know like when I did the 180 uh I did a 180 fakie grind down a handrail in um in Ohio at a street contest you know and I also did like a feeble grind down like the smaller lower part and I learned Feebles from re Simpson and and I did that down the street I mean it stuff comes from all over places and it’s not always like I don’t know how to explain it it’s not it sometimes comes because skaters are having fun together and it you know I mean rather than like watching a video and I’m gonna outdo that person yeah you get what I’m saying totally I remember doing 180 grinds down the handrail in in Ohio and in turn a ski told run out do that do what he’s doing you see do that let’s do that because I mean you know 180 Ollie’s were cool two people would want to see how high they can get their 180 Ollie’s or whatever and then people started 118 grabbing and so I I don’t know really I just remember a lot of times like guy or Rudy or Jason would say like let’s watch this video you gotta see this video watch what this guy is doing I wasn’t really into watching the videos you know personally I didn’t like turn now ski as a person no I didn’t either did I hated that dude well if you if you have to pick between him or Stacy hoody pick Stacy could skate you know he did do and then take Stacy do because he Stacy Peralta okay do you have any favorite personal video parts of you yeah at tent city for sure well then there’s also like that Ecuador trip that we did that was a fun film this too like they ever do but yet that light man came in to my life a little later like I grew up in San Diego he skated over there and then you know I got a little dry moved to Helsinki so that’s where I met light man and his crew and and he was I mean he was a filmer an artist and musician skateboarder he was doing everything like he would play the reggae tracks he would also make the music for the videos and he would film him and he was definitely he had an interesting way of making skate videos back then like no one was really I feel like skateboarding videos gotten really serious so it’s basically an answer to h-street what a tree is doing kind of yeah are like yeah and what means skateboarding is competitive that’s just the way it is you know skateboarding is the greatest freak show on earth click here to see more love letters to skateboarding

Looks like Light man was ahead of his time, that sort of skating seems popular with the kids right now.

    OMG that 180 fakie fring in 1988 was E PI C & a gamechanger.
Everyone @ school was talking about it & showing up @ the skateshop to see it..
*Every single person in that contest was just doing front board slides w/ maybe Cab or whatevs doing backside..
All of a sudden 180 feeble grinds and 180 fakie Manny and 180 fakie nose grinds we're happening..
A great moment those late 80's summers we're as epic sht was getting invented..
**RIP Phelper~ i'll miss his Gonz & Cardiel stories 4 sure.
