It was pretty exciting when they announced the United States and you’d parade in with all the other athletes. That’s when it really hits you that you are representing the United States. I’m extremely proud of the work that I put into it to get to that point. It’s a lot of years. I do remember thinking this is Olympics, I better have a good race. I Finished 10th. That’s kind of a benchmark, be top 10. The biggest memory of that Olympics for my races was the thousand-meter. I was hoping to be top 5, so I was on a good split at the 600 meters I had a really bad slip my last turn. Still was a personal best time but could have been better I think I would have been top 5. There’s just a certain feeling about the Olympics.
