Toronto's a different kind of and discovered that already well I mean I guess so just being here right now but yeah I mean it's different I think that I'm just looking to embrace it it comes with with playing in Toronto and you obviously get treated very well here there's a huge fan base and you want to play in front of in front of teams that have that support so that's exciting yeah I mean it's it's gonna be a fun game to watch and you've seen it the last two years they're one of the best teams in the league I think right now and they're set up for success for a long time I mean he's he's an extremely dynamic defenseman I think that he can change the game just with what he brings on a day to day basis his ability to make plays or the offensive end he's a great teammate in the locker room and I think that's enough how good of a player yeah I really don't think he does I think that obviously being here he'll get a lot of exposure and work people will get to see him on a nightly basis but I mean his numbers speak for themselves there's not many d-man in the league the last few years have put out the types of numbers that he has and and he's more than that I mean people have critiqued his defensive game at times but we've seen it first and he's he's a good defensive player as well and I think that sometimes people are a little too hard on him in that sense but he's a complete player and one of the best offensive defenseman in the league oh and I think he just thinks the game the same way that there's some of them do you know he's such a skilled player and they makes the same reads that that's those top guys make so it's easy to play when the guys that you're playing with they're thinking along the same lines and just his skill level I mean the top guys in the league want to play with players like him to said conversations about what they expect out of me how the team wants to play how they envision us playing in the future but I haven't gotten specific yeah I mean he's been great do you when I pulled up to the hotel I met him right away and he drove me to the practice right the first day and it was great great gesture out of him and hey I mean he just told me how great it is to play here the fans here unlike anywhere else in the league and I mean it's going to be an exciting group to be a part of you

Pressure? It's not like he's expected to win a championship, it's Toronto

Of course he’s going to say he’s ready to embrace it. Or is he going to say “Man I have crippling anxiety over playing for a media savage team like Toronto”

He sounds very mature for a 24 year old. Then again he did go to Harvard University so I can't say I'm surprised.
I know it's too early to say, but this guy looks like could be the complete package (leadership, scoring, discipline).

Only reason there's pressure here is because the media is fucking trash and treats players like they are the second Hitler when they mess up
