Why do American commentators always refer to Yuka Sato as "The World Champion", or remind everyone she was a world champion?! She has not been nor is she the only world champion the sport has ever had. She is not the only world champion from Japan, because Midori Ito came before her. Other than winning her world title at home and under controversy, there are skaters that have accomplished a whole lot more than Yuka Sato-furthermore, that world title she won in 1994, was the only major title she ever got, and her biggest competition was Surya Bonali (and we all know how that went most times)… Lastly, and for some reason, American commentators never spend that much time acknowledging other coaches/choreographers with World or Olympic titles or medals.

    Exogenesis Part 3: Redemption
    Let's start over again
Why can't we start it over again?
Just let us start it over again
    And we'll be good
    This time we'll get it…
    Get it right
It's our last chance to forgive ourselves

What a poignant choice. I almost teared up.

Such a fluid performance, very zen, like water flowing.
