Hello everybody, my name’s Tiago Le Meur, I’m 20, and I am a student photographer I created this channel to show you my passion about inline skating, and to make you discover this discipline So, I started inline skating 3 years ago Thanks to a friend who invited me to a Hockey game with his club And back in the day, I didn’t know anything about inline skating so, I went to a store and bought my first skates in the store, I acted like I knew stuff, and came out with Street skates sized 41 (EUR) wereas I usually wear 39 sized shoes. not very clever haha. anyway, It was a very cool experience for me, so I decied to continue skating Then I bought another pair of skates from decathlon And they weren’t good at all I mean, they had plastic frames, a weird ABS system on the wheels that activates each time you move your right foot forwards, and makes you slow down I didn’t really like that so I bought another pair of skates from then, I became interesten in Agressive skating, so I bought the USD Franky Morales II Some high end skates in carbon fibre for agressive skating and I used to go to the skatepark almost everyday, but it doesn’t mean I have a great level in agressive skating. Then I discovered the Freeride discipline, and bought my first “real” skates. a pair of Seba FR X, version 2012 or 2013 and to be honnest, I loved them! even if the FR X are the entry level skates from seba, they were awesome for me. I learnt 90% of the techniques and trix i’m able to do nowadays with these skates! At the beggining, seba skates hurt your feet because they are verry narrow but then, they take the shape or your feet, and become very precise, comfortable and reactive. So, in this video, i’m goint to show you my daily “ballade urbaine” I like to go from the city Levalois to La Défence but sometimes I try to change my itinerary. the interest of going from Levalois to La Défence is that there are a lot of climbs to do. as we can see now and I am know for having a poor stamina But since I started skating, things are going better! even if you are going to see me tired in this video…trust me! xD Inline skating also made me gain muscles. Mainly on the lower part of my body, a bit on the abs, back ect. and…yeah.. as you can see, my hair is too long haha. ‘have to cut it. As I said at the beggining of the video, my goal is to make you discover the actual world of inline skating and why not trying to make you want to go skating? 🙂 ’cause it’s boring to skate alone :’) … even if there’s Pari Roller on wednesdays, I don’t want to wait for wednesdays to skate with somebody, aaand Pari Roller only takes place if it doesn’t rain ( even a little). Rain isn’t a bit issue for me when i’m skating with the FR X I only have to clean the bearrings afterwards! ( issue or not lol? ) Now let’s talk about my current setup! ’cause I changed to another skates again haha. A few months ago, I changed my FR X for the High Light from Seba again there’s a bit difference in comfort between the FRX and the High Light they are more precise, lightweight More expensive ( the FR X cost me around 160€ and the High Light, around 350€ ) by the way, I didn’t bough the High Light in a complete kit, I just bought the boot without the liner & wheels because in my photography class, there’s a former Rider that was sponsored by Seba, and his room is full of skate parts, so I decided to exchange my old phone with some pro parts the iGoR Deluxe frames, ILQ9 Pro bearrings, and a set of Seba wheels. and the price of all these parts together is higher than the price of the phone sold used. So, why using iGoR frames ( rockered frames) when I practice Freeride and Urban skating? because the maneuverability (?) is way better, because only 4 of the 8 wheels touch the ground. turns become way nicer to do for me there’s less efort with your feet ( what can help a lot when you do tricks as I like to do ( not in this video) ) for the wheels, I like to use 80mm, I usualy only use Seba wheels, but they are now used so I changed them and for the first time, I took another brand, called Hyper. for outdoor skating I don’t remember the exact name of those wheels but I went to my local skate shop and asked for Freeride wheels, and they advised the brand Hyper. I have the feeling that the Slides/shuffles last longer than the wheels I used to have. but I have to test it. Not sure. little trouble comunicating with the taxi driver; I want to roll behind him. I like to negociate donwhills like I do when i’m skiing. it enables me to controll speed without damaging my weels too much sometimes, I wont be talking, because I spoke too fast compared to the video! ^^” damn, my hair is too long! and if after watching this, you want to go inline skating, but don’t know how and where to start, I’ll do my best to help you with that! I’ll make tutorials about technique, everything about different types of skates ect. Now I’m trying to travel one legged on a flat surface and you’ll see that i’ll become more and more tired. traveling one legged start hurting your foot slowly so you’ll see me fighting against the pain haha. what I like the most when i’m skating one leggeg, is when I try to accelerate, try to go faster. but that’s the part that tires me the most haha xD ’cause skating one legged on a slight downhill isn’t much of a deal! the pain comes way after! now my foot hurts and I’m tired I always make funny faces when I’m skating haha! Be carrefull, ‘don’t want to scratch those expensive cars! It’s funny because it’s the first time I skate with a camera, and people are staring at it! “what is he doing? what is he filming! people these days… he’s doing a Selfie Roller! ” yup I always say stupid things haha! HA! now I gave up! too tired! It’s the afternoon, just came out of my photography school If you ever want to see my photography, i’ll put a link in the description below! I’m actually working on my portfolio, so several changes will occur. some photos to come, general organisation will change, for a professional look. but i’ll give you the link 🙂 my hair is all messed up! sometimes people ask me if i prefer skating on busy streets I say yes! it’s more fun, people become obstacles ect. but some pedestrians can quicky become annoying, changing direction all the time when you are coming at full speed x( ! so to avoid them, or I do an emergency stop, of I quicky change direction. next clip is what I like to do for fun or warming up! annnnd Voilà, that’s all for the first episode, Thanks for watching and see you next time!

Hi, nice skating! One question, at what size did you buy your Seba High skates? I got Seba FRX at the moment and think about upgrading to Seba High. Is the sizing the same between High and FR line of Seba skates?

A question! When you skate on one leg like 9:16 and forward on a rockered frame, does 2 or 4 wheels touch the ground? 🙂

Hi Tiago. I went back to rollerblading after 13 years (used to be an agressive skater) and i'm doing freestyle because of you! beg fan man!

What camera were you using attached to the selfie stick? Is it a go pro?
