Comparing this to my current sprinting footage, I have a long way of improving to go, I'm currently only utilising 2 gears by the looks.

I know this is late and I'm not trying to be a douche or anything but this guy has no idea what he's talking about. Maybe one or two of the things he said in here actually have anything to do with going fast. You never want to flick your toes, that's how you get blisters and lose speed. The way he swings his arms is terrible. He hardly even stays on the outer edges of his wheels. I'm not gonna lie, he's fast, but the advice he's trying to give to you is complete bull and isn't going to help you at all. If you want to learn how to go fast, talk to an actual speed skater that's spent all of their time on skates perfecting their form specifically to go fast.

At 3.43 you push your arms in front of your body to the other side. Is this to remove left over air from your body and replace it with fresh air?

Have you measured your top speed? (on flat surfaces). I'm struggling to maintain the speed of a bike (I mean those bikes that are made for speed on trails, not the old lady going to the grocery store, heh).

this is a funny video. I remember 10 years ago when me an my best friend would have our Missions and Bauers on skating like speed demons down the road. I've seen so many videos trying to see people replicate the way we use to fly down the road and I haven't been able to find anything. This video right here properly demonstrates how to actually get to blistering fast speeds with some solid skates. If you can do this on a slight decline you can get to 30+mph. It's intoxicatingly awesome!

Hi, can you please explain what is the thing when you swing both of your arms at the same time (3:06, 3:28, 3:42,…)?
Is it something to be done when switching styles?
