today it’s raining so there’s gonna be a time to do tutorial on how to skate when it’s wet one of the important points when you skate in the rain is to be careful with the leaf oh it’s better to take little time to take off all the leaf and the ground especially something like this and they are quite big if they are quite big and they are wet so it’s super super slippery and it’s dangerous for the growing muscle so be careful take a few minutes to take up most of the leaf it’s more safe for the training [Music] I don’t have Stalin with this classic waves and effect to get used to a good Bush under the rain [Music] for the first things to do when you start to train the ralink is they start very easy don’t try to go faster lose that don’t be afraid to go very slow just just take time to warm up with very slow speed and feel how much deeper it is underground today it’s very slippery here for example because there is lots of grass all around the track so it’s very difficult so I make very small push the main technique for rain skating is to push a lot under your body weight so it will give your so better feeling for when you skate when it’s dry if you have to make a very very good push under your body weight so small push more frequency more speed legs I mean more movement you need to do more CAK with your leg and a very small push with a very good and air push [Music] it’s important the good under push because at this moment all your weight is on your skate and you have to use all your body weight to try to compress the wheels and it gives a little more pressure to keep a good grip if you’re too light on your skate to light pressure on your wheels then it will be very slippery if you are able to use your body weight and keep some good pressure on the ground it will make you push little better [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] in the corner it’s important not to lay too much in the inside of the corner because then you will lose the pressure from your body weight and you will so try to keep your body away almost over you skate in the corner don’t don’t take too much angle in the direction of the corner [Music] you [Music] in this training Juliet is using some brainwaves storm you can use some storm or typhoon different of what brand you prefer by its make big difference it’s almost like skating and our dry conditions oh but you don’t learn so good I had to get a very under Bush skating without rain risk in some training is a good option sometimes [Music] already you have to remember to make very small push basically it’s almost like pushing not wider than your shoulders almost all your push need to be under your shoulders not wider than your sugar because then you will really lose lot of grip try to make short step try to regulate the frequency in the speed legs speed legs not like pushing faces making more movement one little details that is important also it don’t take too much how’s our age like you want that you always stay with very small outside edge all the time during the outside push and during the inside push if you make if you take too much outside edge it’s gonna be very difficult to keep a good easy pressure and when the hunger with the wheels is very deep is very important with the ground it’s gonna be very slippery slippery and very fast Mormon when you receive bits of [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] so when you’re in the corner or so it’s better to not to keep their arm in the back you can use your arms put them on the side to find little more balance so don’t be afraid to use your arm every time you’re arriving corner it’s more secure because it would be the most different moment normally and when you’re in the straight end you can always put them back in the back and feel more higher or dynamic like this but in the corner use your arms like you want to get a little more help for balance you like to skate in the ride first time you skate in the rain Kia yes so what’s difficult explaining the the right push actually you have to I feel like I have to keep my weight and down my body and my cushion what did you learn by skating in the arena today I’ve learned that when you lose that grip that you can use usually when it’s not raining and when the flow is actually dry learn that you are ready to push a really short distance right it doesn’t matter because you can still push quite hard just enough because you still have that grip because of the weight you’re putting on your on your on your wheels and if you push it too far from your body then you you sleep or you get tired but quite quickly I think [Music] you [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] you [Music]

A beautiful video with the music, quite melancholic. Have you thought about making a video on skinsuits/speedsuits? Thanks!

Fantastic! I've been skating in the rain today. I watched this as I'm cleaning the bearings 😣
I used to hate rain skating, but now quite enjoy the higher concentration on every push, it forces me to skate better for sure.
    Great video Pascal 🙋

I haven't skated without socks much. I am waiting for a pair of skates that should fit properly (snug) for the first time. Should I skate barefoot?

By the way, what camera technique is creating those shots where the point of view is rotating around your body as you skate?

Great video + explanation. It's just a bit of a pity that it will be a few weeks of work to remove all the leaves from the road here.
