hi I'm welcome to ski snowboard cheating calm my name's Neil I'm the technician here in Hinkley Lester share today's video I'm going to do a step-by-step guide to how to use our Universal kit the universal kit you can buy in three ways you can buy the kit itself you can buy the kit with the Kunzman base and edge foil and also with the demon mini orion everything you need to look after your board and skis so inside the tin you will get and a step by step instruction of how to use everything in the kit you'll get a base cleaner a waxing cork two ptex a clear and a black it's a variety of waxes which will go through structure pads and a ski snowboard tuning scraper and also a cleaning cloth everything you need to look after your board or your skis the waxes are tough choice I've got a universal wax I've got a Sun fire and I've got a Magna the oil temperature is in every single one of the packs so the first thing we're going to want to do is have an inspection if you bought all your skis we're going to look for anything lemon on the outside of the board the tips and the tail and then he gouges or marks we've hit rock which we'll need feet x in I always say the first thing we do when we service our board is p-tech since I'm going to do a separate video on peat X in M so that will be on the ski snowboard chillin first once you've ptex your board and you scraped it off we're going to start on the edges which also to push the video along we're going to do a separate video on how to use the Coons moon side and edge tall so inspection of the board you've done your ptex in you've done your edges clean your area so there's no shavings anywhere so we want to base clean your board if you haven't got a heat tool it's always good to get a bit of heat into the board get your girlfriend's hair dryer we want to get a little bit of heat in the base of your board hand over so don't burn the base of my board open them for look heads lives just as good there's a Filipino perfect so with your data wax base cleaner give you board a really good spray leave this a Stoke for 10-15 minutes and the kick off foot in the structure pads I'd like you to cut the structure pads a green one into three and keep them separate first one let's work that work that in you can go tip the tail getting rid of old grease and all yours at the base of your board then with your scraper we're gonna scrape first lot often if you scrape on my face cream not is flammable so bear that in mind this will also using the scraper pull all any of the old wax off the board then will you cloth like the remaining off if your board still looking fluffy do it again spray it work it in with the structure pub and then wipe it off leave that twenty minutes and then come back and then we're going to do a hot wax scrape my favorite method of cleaning the base of your board is a hot wax scrape for that we're going to use our yellow wax which is a some foil nice soft wax and your demon iron coin temperatures around 115 110 so we'll set that ways for getting wax on your board drip in if you new to it I always recommend that you chalk because then you know that you've covered every bit of the snowboard so dripping literally dripping the wax on your board chalk in starting at the tip just chalking the wax when you fill it a few times you ought to use any words but if you need to add love you use more than less so speed things up we're going to drip it off brilliant little iron its demon iron the purpose of the hot wax crepe is to pull all the oils and all the dirt out of the base of your board pry up to put in your final wax on so that's more than enough so a lot of people say you can only go tip-to-tail just get for the start to get that wax melted straight into the board if your in smoking then it's too hot just turn it down a little bit see it turning into liquid in all them pores of your snowboard or skis I saw the big bits all melted now we are going to work tip to tail don't leave the oil in one place for too long to keep it moving at all times now were the last couple of passes go over nice and slowly making sure it's not bubbling behind the Audion and there's just a nice puddle beyond the back of the Audion you see the wax working into all little pores the reason why we call this a hot wax great it's because we're going to scrape it off hot again which allows you to put a leathery spin out of the pores of your board ready for your final wax so get the whole ball heat you don't get ready with your scraper all right we're ready to get it sat out and clean the base of the board so with your move your scraper hold it a bit of an angle just pull all that do it so it's after you've done this one time its wax is still really dirty and again just do it again now is your hot-wax crepe some of your other piece of your structure pad she's gonna work we talked over it have you scoop your PUD in your hand this is going to get it ready for our next wax so just spotted there's a bit of wax Oh get now we're ready for a final wax again I always like to use universal and then people that just say I want to go as fast as I can I'll use a universal scrape it off let it let it set scrape it off and then I'll do a Magna which is a high speed glide so to the video we're going to use our Universal so iron temperature 115 120 set again drip it a little bit choking it you ready to get a good spread of the wax when you get that mounted and then we're going to leave that at least 2025 minutes oh I like to leave mine overnight to the heated room and get it all scraped off in the morning and then going right so in the first stage just get the wax melted on it you don't have to go tip-to-tail long as you don't leave the iron in the same place for too long it'll be fine so small on this really is put all in but for the last couple of passes what we did with the Sun fire I'm gonna go nice and slow making sure we're not bubbling behind and we're just leaving a nice pool of wax it's covered every one of the pores does that cut them off boom so that's you bored waxed I'm gonna now leave that for as I say 25 minutes fill the base of your board and it's cooled down it's time to scrape off and then structure so Oh Lots as I say leave mine overnight and or nearest when I'm not going to ride and then get it scraped off get it structured ready to ride so we're going to go on to scraping the board now this one I've left overnight completely cooled down we just want to scrape it now and structure and cool so we're starting from the tip of a horde just scrape off at a bit of an angle to get us started very point to get as much wax off if you can what's is now all in the cause of the Bourdon that's where you need it what happens a nice showing to the board Bucky hands you can feel any lumps but what's its it on there still what loads or works on so keep working into you're happy all that whites is completely off pulling knocks off another way I also do it was like pull so I can see where the big clumps of white she's still gets on the board putting a lot of wax now well when you get better the less watch you use the easier it is to scrape off i restructure pat gonna work tips tails in moist look sharp the faster you will go law you brush the more you structure faster you go then use your you'll see loads a little wax pellets or we call them wet dandruff that's what you use the court for working that works right so might be there's no big pile of wax anywhere ready to cook your pad it's looking really nourished any white patches that you have left on you you shook your pad it will come up white so you need to hit you scrape I spent that bit of what tough nice so now we're going to use our waxing Corp purpose liver wiped in court is to get rid of all the white pellets really puts a nice gloss on your board as well you all then watch pellets won't get rid so just hit even though structured just stick some more white scrape it off definitely the bonus using you cool oh the base your hands go and there you have have to do the basic service with our ski snowboard tuning Universal tin as I say I'll be doing some videos on ptex in and using the Kunzman file the different waxes so please look out for my other videos that's ready to ride thanks for watching you

I bought one of his kits off the back of this video – 7 days later and no kit, took my money and no communication. Told me on email it would posted first class recorded the next day, that was a week ago. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GUY!!!!! Save your money and buy from a reputable company as I now will have to, I am now having to dispute this via paypal. To the guy in the video, stick to in shop tuning because your product and service business is absolutely terrible.

Really nice tutorial. I have a question. I've waxed my new snowboard only once so far but I actually held the scraper in the opposite direction to what is showed in the video. Do you think I damaged my snowboard somehow? I don't see any visible damage though.

Hi quick question would you recommend waxing a brand new board like this? As I heard most boards only come with a light factory wax?

im getting the lib tech trs snowboard soon, is it a good idea to wax it straight away or take the wax kit with me and wax it once i have been riding for a few days ?
and how does self waxing compare to the instant waxes you can get at the skishops at the lifts ?
last question, what is a good way of setting up your board for waxing if you don't have the table clamps ?

This was incredibly useful for my first ever ski wax last year… Thanks! I now need to P-Tex my skis so I'm wondering do you have a P-Tex video up yet that you mentioned here?
