you guys have to get yourself a pair of wider skis and you gotta take off the bindings on them next you want to get a four pieces of wood that are 4 by 8 by 12 so 2 by 8 cutting a 12 inch chunk you need 4 of them ok now I marked on the skis where I want to put the pieces of wood like this see one line here will 9 here same on each ski front and back from end so that for this line to this line I have 4 foot so I'm leaving a 24 inch gap in the middle of them ok now take your skis and between the two lines you mark out three screw holes and you drill with a small bit just big enough for the screw to thread in do you draw that all the way through once you have that drill you flip it over take a little tiny bit bigger bit to fit the head of the screw in your countersink it so you just drill down quarter inch maybe just like the head of the screw sits flush with this and not sticking up being off so it doesn't drag on the snow you attach your four pieces of wood to the skis with the three screws and eat bottom each one just like so okay I got ahead of myself here you guys I cut to two by four is a three foot one here then one for the back of the sled and then basically what it is is these are made to be able to take down and put in a car put wherever you need to put it you know some are small so what I did is on that 2×4 each one I drilled holes the fit a bolt through probably a 4-inch bolt or so and then in the two by eights are connected to the skis I drilled a hole basically one was in there then one one right there got drilled this hole of a deeper the gap but uh so there's there's that side of it and then you've got the same thing on this side and basically what it is is you'll put an eye bolt right here right here right here and right here and then you can throw your sled you can throw your fish house whatever you need to on top of it you can run a ratchet strap or a bungee cord from this one there's an eye bolt from this eye bolt to this eye bolt gonna up over it and holds it down now these are for let's say you're going we've all been there when we have to walk on the ice and we got six eight inches of snow and the auger sled of the fish house just like piles up the still in front of the sled well this prevents it this actually makes it so light that you barely know that you're pulling it and that's honest truth you can pull these two miles and you won't even know it so yeah once again this is my version of the Smitty sled and basically that's how I built it and yeah so thank you for watching please share subscribe and give the video like thank you

You'll want to cut 1 1/2 x 3 5/8 notches in your uprights to keep 2×4's from scissoring. As is they'll rotate on top of uprights.
