Hey there! Thanks for watching WITHWENDY In this tutorial I will show you how to make a circle skirt. For this circle skirt you just need the skirt fabric as well as one long zipper that can go all the way from the waist down to the bottom. I decided to go with an exposed zipper which is one of the easiest ways to make this, so if you decide to make it the same way, choose a zipper that looks good and has a nice fob that you pull on. That way, it will look very put together when it’s all done. In terms of the fabric, you can use whatever you like as long as there’s good drape, flow, some weight to it. It’s super super cold where I live right now, and I want to be able to wear this skirt to work every day, so wool is very appropriate for my needs. Overall, this is a pretty quick project compared to some of my other ones. With the proper measurements and everything, you should be able to finish it within 2 hours. And if you want any more details on how much fabric you need or how long the zipper should be, make sure you check out the description bar, And, make sure you subscribe! You can also find me on all kinds of social media stuff I am @withwendy And if you’re interested in finding out where I got the bag for this video… bag zipper handle I can put that link down below too 😀 The whole me walking on the street scene stuff was filmed and edited by my friend Rosanna Hi Rosanna She’s currently an intern at MTV, working on MTV 4, which is their more fashion side of MTV Definitely super talented so if you want to go see her videos, check em out and give her some love

So, the first cut depends on how long you want to your skirt to be?
The second cut is the waist circumference : Pi
The third from your waist to the bottom of the skirt (repeat cut 1), am I correct?

Just to clarify, do we fold along the second cut? because in the video it seems as though the cut you made to make the semicircle cut for the waist matches up with second cut.

Amazing tutorial! Did the skirt today and I was impressed with how easy it was. Literally a no-brainer (I'm an absolute beginner in sewing, so let this be an encouragement to all of you out there who don't think they can do this- You can!). I also used a warmer fabric with wool to keep me warm in winter… The only tricky part in my opinion is the hemming of the bottom edge

Do you think I could make this using faux fur fabric? Its for an ewok costume that I'll be making, and I'm trying not to waste any money on the fabric, since good quality faux fur can get expensive. I'm not sure if it will be too heavy or just look odd, so I figured I'd ask around before I did it.
