Your voice can help end homelessness. If we do not fix the affordable housing crisis, homelessness will continue to get worse. Click here https://invisiblepeople.tv/getinvolved to tweet, email, call, or Facebook your federal and state legislators to tell them ending homelessness and creating more affordable housing is a priority to you.

Wow some of these homeless folks have bicycles way more expensive than mine. Not down talking to them at all, just saying.
Edit: I myself have directly helped out homeless people in my days and would still do so here and there if I can. Keep in mind that I myself am someone that is on disability and I am poor to top it off. I do what I can if I can regardless. If we show we care about one another, regardless of our strife, isn't that being human? Bad times can befall any of us due to a vast array of various circumstance and not all those out there that are homeless are bad folks. I for one am glad to see there are still good people in the world that can show they care for others and chose not to discriminate against someone in a bad or hard place in life.

I am trying to raise awareness ,Mark. I am speaking to people telling them about you , Invisible People /the homeless, etc. I am putting links to you on my social media. I am in my 60's disabled with illness, worked many years in home health care helping the elderly , disabled . Now I am a senior citizen . (I knew the day would come . LOL ) But I am so grateful and praise God the Father I am not homeless and am warm. I live with My 30 year old Son who is high functioning on the Autism Spectrum . Life is not easy. But I still believe God is good and will make a way . But our action IS necessary . Thank you for all you do ! I will do what I can and kept speaking out .

Mark maybe you and Carmen can reach out to First Alert to get a few of those $20 dorm room fire extinguishers donated. Most big companies are always looking for a tax write-off and this one could save people's lives.

If every city would take a look at their statistics, I think it should be abundantly clear that the cost of providing a bed for people in the winter months is far less expensive than the costs of medical services, ambulance & 1st responder costs. They always say it's about the money & the middle class are starting to say they are sick of paying the rich as well as the poor with their tax dollars & everyone EVERYONE appears to be missing the big picture of helping their fellow citizens in their time of need.

Mark and Carmen, it is honorable that you are helping people in such dire circumstances in cold weather. It is unfortunate that people are still coming into homelessness as some manage to get housed.
This is not an issue of simply 'throwing money' at the problem, and expecting it to be irreversibly solved. As such, all negative comments about the Church and its assets in Rome being able to house people are absurd. Even if the scenario were that the Church would liquidate its assets in Rome and give that money to the poor, that money would be used, but the poor would remain poor. Liquidating the Church's assets would not end homelessness in the same way as simply giving money to a beggar ends his or her plight.
Education, family values, learned skills, becoming a parent when and only when married with jobs, and not becoming addicted to drugs or alcohol are all elements that are part of keeping people from becoming homeless. Until people get on a path that helps them from becoming homeless, there will always be homeless people. Of course, the State should provide a safety net for people in the form of durable housing, but that also wouldn't curb new homeless people from sprouting up.
What Mark is showing in this video, accompanied by Carmen, is that society is becoming over-saturated with homeless people. Since we already know that the State cannot house everyone, it is even more essential that people follow a path in life that will lower their probabilities of becoming homeless.
Carmen correctly states that helping others isn't necessarily comfortable–He was cold, and stays he has trouble sleeping at night because of what he sees. He is, essentially, 'on call' for the homeless in that Jungle. The least the rest of us can do, even if we can't do what Carmen is doing, is to make sure we don't become homeless. That may mean sacrifice, being 'uncomfortable' by working long hours, being 'uncomfortable' by living below our means to save for rainy days and give to charity, being 'uncomfortable' by putting in long hours to educate children and put them on the right path in life, and being 'uncomfortable' by hitting the books and learning skills.

Thanks for your discomfort, Carmen, as you are helping others and serving as an example that discomfort is almost inevitably a part of any life and that we shouldn't shirk from it….lest we cause others to be uncomfortable on our behalf. We all have our crosses to bear, whether we bear them for ourselves, for others, or, for both.
    Thanks.

Im not pregnant or an alcholic. So they let me be used for over two years then when they came to me they robbed me of every dime i had and mentally emotionally and physicality abused me. If i ever become homeless again ill just kill myself i cant take this anymore im 54 and feel like 89!!!

We NEED to MAKE OUR OWN citizens the PRIORITY—- FOR A LONG TIME!!
What ever the REASON for these people sad situation– we have NO RIGHT to not make sure this gets taken care of OVER THE LONG TERM!
Sorry to make this part political, BUT, the TRUTH HURTS at times . OBAMA put ALL this on ignore if you were NOT of the right color or culture, he gave AWAY LITERALLY BILLIONS to illegals and JUST OPENED the gates GIVING ALL KINDS of FINANCIAL AND MEDICAL ——-FREE to illegals!!!!
This WENT ON FOR 8 YEARS– which COVERS MOST, and MAYBE ALL the documenting that INVISIBLE PEOPLE started his covering of this sadness!!!

Corporations don't care the government doesn't care my friends. The government would rather keep people in poverty and homeless rather than making them independent and self-sufficient self-reliant. It's much harder to control and enslave those who are self-sufficient and self-reliant. We spend billions and billions and billions of dollars murdering people across the lands in the name of War. The government wastes and steals taxpayer money to imprison, torture and murder innocent people right here on our own soil. The government is a warmongering murdering pedophile Enterprise. Thank goodness for good people like Carmen and his wife. But the bottom line is if we want to change things it's not going to happen at The Ballot Box because elections are rigged and fixed. Politicians do not give a shit no matter what they say. You must try to understand that politicians from a town level to the federal level all have some form of sociopathological psychosis. The worst offenders suffering from psychopathological psychosis. If you want to change things it is time to eradicate the government and exterminate pharaoh.

I often say if every religious person didn’t go to 1 service a week what good could come from that? I’m atheist and I volunteer and donate to help people. But how many religious places boast about helping people but don’t. In my area the only people who actually do help in a big way are the Sikh temples and the Salvation Army. What I mean are the people who praise themselves as good Christians etc, how saintly they are, talk about spreading love and kindness…but don’t do anything unless theirs a benefit for them. Including being able to boast about it, have their photos taken…it really irritates me tbh x

Doesn’t like people coming to their house unannounced. I think that’s more of an American think. My ex in laws are American and no one visited them. Whereas growing up in the uk front doors were unlocked during the day family, friends and neighbours would pop in anytime. A quick knock on the door as they opened it and called ‘it’s only me’. I quite like unplanned visitors, particularly when it’s one of those boring, work from home days with nothing much interesting.
So many people visited my grandma that we went through a ridiculous amount of tea, coffee, milk and sugar every week 😀
Even now my family have keys to each other’s houses. We watch each other’s children so it’s more convenient and it’s handy if maybe you’re out shopping and they need something, so we get it, if they aren’t home you can just go in put it in the fridge etc, lock up and leave x Normal in my family to open the fridge and something have magically appeared 😂

I feel like I could have easily been homeless this year. My daughter suddenly passed away on May 10th, 2019. I found her unresponsive in her bedroom, she was living with me. I attempted CPR but it was not successful. Long story short, I now suffer from PTSD. I was lucky enough to be able to get therapy and qualified for time off from my job. What about people who aren't as fortunate as I am! I can totally understand how people lose their jobs due to traumatic events, and then end up homeless. It's so unfair and our society needs to help those in need.

It is absolutely tragic! The homeless and poor are treated like trash! Its shameful! I know what you mean about helping someone and others appear. It doesnt seem like we barely make a dent in this terrible crisis. We live in the richest country in the world and our own people cannot afford housing. Wow, some of these comments here are very heartless. Dont judge, what you dont understand! I have learned this after my family and i became homeless from job losses. You think it cant happen to me, but guess what it can. It is truly terrifying when it happens! It affects everything, from your health to your mental well being. People say cruel things, blame you and some are ashamed to help you out. sometimes its your own family, thats what hurts the worst! So thank God everyday for a roof over your head, a car and a place to park it at night, food to fill your stomach, a nice warm shower and a bed to sleep at night. I know myself and my family will never take that for granted again! This is why i will do everything in my power to help the needy!

ANYONE can find themslves homeless, through no fault of their own. How can a supposedly civilised first world country like USA make homelessness illegal and treat people SO poorly, when others live like Kings & Queens? USA should be ASHAMED. This is the 21st Century, yet you behave like it was the Middle Ages!
Just one, of the many, reasons why I wouldn't want to visit, let alone be part of the USA.
SHAME ON YOU AMERICA! But then you elect someone like Trump to be your figurehead. So I guess that proves how distorted your morals really are.

$95 million dollars for a 15,000 seat arena Church…501 c3 tax exempt…doing the lords work…not…James 2:14-17 14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?

15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food.

16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?

17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
