Philippine Olympian Hidilyn Diaz comes up big in the Asian Games stay tuned… On Tuesday, August 21st the Philippines Hidilyn Diaz received the gold medal after winning in the 53 kilogram weight lifting event during the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia Hidilyn bagged a weightlifting silver medal in the third Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 ending a medal drought for the Philippines and that lasted four Summer Games On Tuesday night Diaz snatched the Asian Games gold medal on her third try Tuesday night’s victory Capped a zero to hero story for the 27 year old from Zamboanga City who finished dead last in her first Asian Games Diaz said, I wound up dead last my first Asian Games and the second I was 6th among 16 participants But this time around I pushed myself to the limits!
