Aleksey laughs Rainier has scored a whopping seventy nine goals in 121 games with Rimouski over the last two seasons and he may only be scratching the surface of his potential just listen to how the seventeen-year-old responded when asked where his game has grown the most of late my damn offensive game is much better I think that this summer I've worked my neutral zone a lot getting quicker in neutral zone and you know still trying to work without the puck it's it's not perfect and it will never be but I'm trying to get better you know every day he's dynamic in every sense I mean he could score he can pass he great hockey sense and you know he's easy that he's easy to play with I mean for any I guess Letterman or winger you know he's easy to find on the ice he's makes his line mates better and you know he's he's just honestly you know an amazing player doctor well you see him out there today I mean he's he's working I mean we all have god-given skills and he has we all know he has that kind of skills but I really it was it was enjoyable for myself to watch his his joy manag the game of Darren and working hard to get things done he's a special player and and with his character to where the players all gravitate to him that like they like him and so we need him to be a great leader and that and that's what he's been doing here off and on the I show the kids the right way I just just a number can be a leader in the over your your age and I think that this year I want to build here and you know it starts now bring up always love the game and you know still it's I don't I don't know what I what I'll be doing with all Aki you know it's it's my passion and it's it's my biggest love la frontier is unfazed by what happened in Vancouver where he played less than six minutes in Canada's quarterfinal loss to Finland he says the lesson is you have to work for every minute of ice time you get while ice time shouldn't be an issue for him at this week's camp he started on a line with Red Wings prospect Joe Vuli know and King's prospect Akhil Thomas all three players had more than 100 points last season mark masters TSN Plymouth Michigan my frontier had just one and five games for Canada the 2019 World Juniors before racket up 74 points in 43 games between the regular season and the playoffs with Rimouski lafrana and Red Wings prospect Joe Vuli no are the only two returning players in attendance at the summer showcase from the team that finished 6th at last year's World Junior Championship you

Isn't it telling that it's becoming a news story that a young Canadian hockey player has the potential to becoming a actual NHL star? Used to be common place and now it's rare.

Been quite some time since there's been a French Canadian superstar.
Having grown up with the French Connection in Buffalo, I look forward to Alexis' arriving in the NHL.

Sens will probably finish dead last and end up picking outside the top 3

His skating is the only thing that's overrated but he'll produce 100 points at the NHL level one day he's that good

Alexi LAfreniere cannot be spelled without LA. Kings do your die hard fans a favor, tank for this kid to have a greater odds of snagging the Overall # 1. Could be another Daigle or Yakupov, but highly unlikely since Kings recently have a great Players Development Program (compare to others). Lafreniere and Turcotte in the near future, that's your 1st and 2nd line centers with Kupari and or Kaliyev on the wings. All we need now is a healthy Vilardi. Scary to think the future might look like. 😭🔥

Ottawa better get him. We need to catch a break from the hockey gods. With Tkachuk, Chabot, Brannstrom, White, and the other younger prospects, this would jump forward the rebuild nicely. That is, until Dorion fucks it up again. Lol… 😭

Is this the franchise #1 player that we haven’t had in the draft since Mcdavid ..every other first overall gonna be good but feels like this kid gonna go places and maybe even the next franchise player for a team
