Cousez la ceinture en suivant les épingles en utilisant un fil élastique. Plié la ceinture et cousez. Assurez vous tout le temps que la taille est appropriée. Very impressive! I'd love to see what you could do with a sewing machine. I also wish I were able to purchase one and have it delivered to you. Ah well. Thanks for sharing!

    Pretty skirt!
To eliminate the step of of cutting the circle on stretch knit fabric, insert skirt into casing (basting is helpful). To even out skirt pin at 4 equal points as you would when attaching elastic – then sew all 3 pieces together followed by stitch in a ditch on topside for the waistband to fit well laying flat against waist …
When using stretch fabrics, subtract a couple inches from waist measurement then divide by 6.28 to get radius for cutting or pattern use …
Rolled hem presser foot, ballpont needle or twin needle w/stretch elastic or Stay Tape are helpful & very fast in hemming stretch knit fabric …

Personally, step 1 you really should make a pattern first, step 2 should have been to hang the skirt before unfolding it because the skirt can warp so it's a good idea to have that pattern piece so you can make the entire thing even. Also, you really should fold your hems twice to ensure the fabric won't fray. Just a suggestion.

For anyone wondering, you can add an elastic waist easily. After you have sewn the waistband on, sew the open end of the skirt but don't sew the ends of the waistband. Use a safety pin by attaching it to the elastic and thread it through the tube of the waistband. Then when it comes out the other end sew the two ends of the elastic together in a square shape and then an X inside the square that connects all corners of the square together. Then you simply sew the two ends of the waistband together and now you've easily got a elastic waist!

Hope this wasn't too confusing for anyone! (if they wanted an elastic waist)

Nice handstitching! Good tutorial as well as fast production using stretch fabric …
When using cotton or other non-stretch fabric, the hip measurement is used for the cut at the top, followed by waist measurement fit to one's size for a simple elastic waistband or a zipper w/regular waistband fit to size to hide gathered fabric underneath …

When I divide my 40 in waist by 6.28 I get ~6. But when you stick the radius back into the formula, (3.14)(6^2) is equal to about 90??? Idk, the math just doesn't add up…
