this is my dad see my passion for making comes from him and he didn't just make conventional boring things back when I was a kid when it seemed to snow a lot more often and a lot more deeply my dad screwed two skis to the bottom of an old runner sled and just like that a legend was born he was the fastest sled down the hill but you better start your run in the right direction because that thing would fly straight as an arrow eventually my dad and I tore down the ski sled and resurrected it into something of steering then two years ago I killed it on a very bumpy no under maintenance rig but this run had me inspired and there were four main parameters I had for my new sled first it had to steer especially if I'm gonna be taking it down a curvy road also that bumpy road had me thinking about suspension plus I'd never seen a suspended sled before and I like doing things that have never been done before it also had to be light as when you're sledding it seems like you spend more time lugging the thing up the hill finally I wanted it to be strong as I didn't want to have a repeat of the sled destruction this design process was one of those times in my life when I just couldn't stop thinking about it I would literally be designing the thing in bed and this went on for about two months but I finally arrived at a design that I was happy with the frame would be made from metal for strength and from aluminum for lightweightness for the decking I chose to use wood to give it a more traditional feel plus woods easy to work with and it just looked really nice of course I had to add suspension I used four little bicycle shops from China before the steering the hand will return which would tip the skis and if I use the side cut ski this turning would be even better well turn this design into reality and I'm going to be releasing quite a few more videos on how I make this as well as testing it and if you're not subscribed you should take care of that and then hit the little bell icon as well well actually it's down below that way you get the notifications when I drop the video trust me they're gonna get a lot more exciting and that's it

Beautiful design and manufacture. Went on a sledge 45 years ago, but would longer be more confortable? One would be able to lie down.
