3:00–3:03 – Every time George causes trouble—only to have made up for it later—always brings this part of "A Close Shave for Duck" (Thomas and Friends) to mind for yours truly:

"I do not like engines popping through my walls," fumed the barber. "I appreciate your feelings," said Sir Topham Hatt, "but you must know this engine could have prevented a serious accident. It was a very close—um—shave." "Oh," said the barber, "Oh! Excuse me."

Strange, I need to get a life, but you find year old comments and spend time insulting the people who made them, perhaps I'm not the one who should be getting a life. As well, you managed to find your way here, so you must have been searching for it as well…I have kids, so what's your excuse?

    The newer version isn't crap. It's a sign of the times. Everything's politically correct, watered-down & rose-colored.

I recall seeing these a lot 30 years ago, I think I even had a book version of this episode that featured stills from it along with the story.

It was actually Jack Duffy's voice. It is a little similar 2 Bob Dorough's voice.

the old cartoon was much better than the new crap they have out now. The new garbage is so politically correct and full of garbage. In these old cartoons George was endearing but in the new stuff he's an annoying piece of crap while everyone except the monkey is an idiot. If only we could go back to the old stuff.

@Bomber8597 Aw, the PBS series isn't garbage. I enjoyed the older shorts too, but sometimes, you want a little more animation in an animated series, and the current series is one of the best cartoons on the air today.
