let's go on everyone Jerry are from the quartering and I've been following a story about the new Call of Duty game that has been receiving some criticism the first time I made a video I believe it was on cuphead famous cuphead journalist and dean takahashi talking about how certain scenes that we should have some sort of conversation around whether certain scenes should or shouldn't be allowed in the game or should be removed I should say in my opinion a form of soft censorship but you know that's neither here nor there the Internet continues I'm sorry the game's urinal lists continue to pressure the folks making the new Call of Duty game with toots being too real odds too real for a game that is of course rated M and it's intended for older audiences I often see the same argument by these urinal lists alluding to the fact that but think of Zeki it's think ezekias he responsible parents give their kids as gaming look if your parents are buying this game for you it fine that's their decision some younger people can handle it because you know most of us know the difference between reality and video games but I think that that is a I'm not sure what the definition is it's not a straw man argument it's it's just disingenuous I think it's their own opinion that they don't like how real the game is and they're just using the Z kids as a shield the other day somebody sent me a few articles about the makers at Infinity Ward may be alluding to censoring the game but then I've collected recent comments from the team who that have deny that if you remember in my first video about this topic I said and I stand by that that should they bend the knee to outlets like Kotaku or polygons or you know these Dean Takahashi complaining that the game is too real then not purchased the game I just won't and that many people like myself will not purchase the game now I understand that removing a small cutscene that may be a little edgy or something like that probably won't affect gameplay but in a world where most of us have gigantic back catalogues of games I just don't have a lot ventured here nothing ventured nothing lost okay it's another Call of Duty game that I can just wait I can just play one of my many games that are not completed yet we see this article that dropped on June 13th today at modern warfare director responds to claims about censoring the campaign now on June 11th katako reported that according to a developer at a private III showcase modern warfare a line which was deemed to quote discomforting would be removed from the final product the particular line is delivered by a Russian soldier who apparently considers handing over a young girl he is captured to his commanding officer because quote he likes the young ones Kotaku were apparently told that this line would be cut from the game as it already takes place in a harrowing scene without the implication of his boss enjoying this young female now is this scene rough yeah is the scenario in which this game is happening or being depicted far more rough yes if those tows happening in a Super Mario game all right we might have a conversation about how it doesn't fit but this game is literally happening in a Call of Duty game where the entire purpose of it is depicting that type of scenario and look if you think that these battles were PC you've got another thing coming if you don't think that this kind of thing happens you've got another thing coming and if you don't think that the team over at Infinity Ward shouldn't represent or get as close to representing that real authentic situation you've got another thing coming because now that line is out there in the public space we know that line is supposed to be in the game and if they do remove it I'm going to have a major problem and the Infinity Ward team and and Activision are going to be hearing about it endlessly until the game releases news at Infinity Ward we're removing even a single line of dialogue did not sit well with fans those though who feared that the developer may have been toning down the more adult themes to avoid criticism and controversy narrative director Taylor Kurosaki has dismissed that suggestion however stating plainly we would never censor the game these rumors are not true he said in response to Mossadeq Abbas bro I've been a cod fan since the cod first game released in 2003 it's been a big part of my childhood please do not censor the campaign this is coming from a cod fan that has played not any battlefield game never because I'm a hardcore fan please don't censor please Taylor replies we never would these are rumors not true then you see 8th thoughts hey Zeus died on the cross for our sins don't make it for naught this is one of the biggest things I was worried about so that's a relief so as it would appear the team from Infinity Ward is standing up to kind of the social justice pressure and saying they're not going to now I'm going to watch this extremely closely in another response Kurosaki explained that although changes will be made between now and launch these are not moves to appease critics or avoid controversy but to only further their quote vision of the game from a purely creative standpoint now this is a little concerning that they may make these changes and then just use the umbrella that well it didn't fit the story we were trying to tell or you know and and use that as an excuse to cover up hey we didn't actually bend the knee but I think to be on the record publicly right now I'm going to give the Call of Duty team a vote of confidence and maybe we can use our force for good Taylor Crowe sake is on two on Twitter at Taylor curls sake and maybe send him some tweets of support letting him know that hey you will support the game if they stand up to these cry bullies and if they bend the knee then we will not be purchasing the game and we hope that they do the right thing and another response he says Taylor this isn't the news we wanted to hear can we get an explanation was excited to play the games you create this is an article which I'll show you in a second Taylor said this isn't a thing every medium film TV games art iterates as they go making our final product better all we are doing is refining our vision youtubers who saw the press in the game early at Infinity Ward studio said that the two missions were shown were quote more rough and visceral than anything they've seen in call duty before the game also draws inspiration from modern warfare 2 s quote no Russian mission which undoubtedly was the most controversial level in the series history where the player was put in the shoes of a terrible person taking on innocent civilians in a Moscow Airport we will have wait have to wait till October 25th which is about four months and two weeks from now when the new modern warfare releases to see if the particular line of dialogue does in fact make the final cut and if Infinity Ward tone things down in those areas – for now Crowe sake is defiant that not these are nothing more than rumors you see the original story here on the Charlie Intel website and you see more responses by Taylor responding here last seen another tweet cross akka confirmed that cross play is working perfectly in the studio even between ps4 and Xbox one declare further clarify further cross play between Xbox and PlayStation is working it's all working right now of course this was the original story down here katako even asks Infinity Ward developers if the quote likes the long one young ones line got a response from engi campaigns director Jacob Minkoff quote part of the reality of the situation is were people who face unpleasant events and there is a portion I'm not trying to work around spoilers but we don't want to sit we won't want to shy away from the realities that some people face in these situations Minkoff said and some of those things are touched upon in the storyline all I can tell you is that as with every case we have many consultants on staff activation PR total Kotaku at there beside behind the scenes closed or event that Infinity Ward was removing that line from the game and that the specific line was reportedly meant to be foreshadowing a scene that was upcoming later in the campaign but that scene had also been removed from the game see I'm concerned that the PR team is doing a little bit of slipperiness here now maybe that's just to keep Kotaku at bay but again as we've always seen with these urinal lists they write the report anyway you see the article call of duty modern warfare as developers are still deciding how disturbing to get look these are situations depicting some of life's most disturbing events period to have even a small portion of that in the game is what I would consider par for the course and exactly what hardcore fans want does that make them weird individuals or sick no it makes them want to keep the situation authentic to understand that there's real stakes this kind of stuff is about immersion now do I want there to be you know penalties for taking out NPCs and these games you know I'd find that reasonable because there are penalties for that in real life but removing narrative that helps build an emotional story just because it ruffles a few feathers of people that by the way don't even play your games is absurd now I did have a conversation with a blue checkmark journalist behind the scenes whom I criticized loudly and they did tell me a story about how a member of their family was met with an untimely and due to just unfortunate situations and how the game kind of was soured you know for them but at the same time my response was hey play a different game you know I mean I think if you go into it you know what Call of Duty is all about you know already okay it's June and we know now in October that the game is going to push the envelope and it's gonna get spicy then don't play it not every game is for everyone isn't that what the blue hairs out there always say about you know when you criticize sheera and they say well it's not for you okay well then call of duty modern warfare is not for you I hope you enjoyed this video I give Infinity Ward mad props for standing up to these people and I hope that they stay strong over the next four months and I hope that you send them some positive vibes to remind them who they really serve that is us the customers and not the urinal lists I hope you enjoyed this video we'll talk again real soon

What!? Children know the difference between real life and video games!? This is absolutely incorrect. Look at all the school shooters out there. They think it's just a video game!!

Why do we allow such a minority to run their mouths. No we shouldn't censor anything. We have rating systems for this very reason. Why take it to another level. They do the same with gun control. We go from we need laws to universal checks to now we need to now banned them. Always take it to the next level of control. Cant make every npc in this world happy.

Since these soy betas from these game publications cant handle a rough scene in a game then maybe these jello spine man-babies shouldnt play anything close to games like CoD or any mature game. They should stick with Candy Crush.

Before I was 18, my dad trusted me enough and knew I was mature enough to play Halo, Gears of War, CoD (especially MW2!) etc. I have never been mentally changed or shook by what I saw. I play a game to feel immersed in a world where I can escape for a few hours and experience a compelling story and empathize with the characters.

It's disheartening that people get so offended, or traumatized today by little things they know they can't handle and complain when it happens again. It's also a shame people cannot separate gaming from reality and refrain from replicating what they see in the game irl.

If Infinity Ward says its a game that shows how war really is, they can't make it kid friendly. It would be disrespectful to army veterans and victims of war.
