If that Gian Simmen won the Olympics Men’s Halfpipe and it was the first Snowboard Competition that he’d ever won, then how did he even qualify to get in the Olympics…..???? 🧐

My only regret with riding was waiting until my late 30's to convert from skiing. Especially since I was a skate kid growing up in the mecca of the skate/surf scene in Southern Cali. Big doh, on my part. With the technology and materials used today, it would be great to be a teenage rider these days. Kids should give riding a shot and they will never look back! Great video, thanks!

Great history lesson. Learned how to board in 1999. Love the feel of carving the mountain.

DISLIKED IT. First of all the movie should have started with Sherman and ended with shaun white. Pearce only had 2 years of snowboarding and so what if he beat shaun? other did before him did as well. Travis rice should have went before shaun, absolute travesty he is not in this. Skipped too many 90s snowboarders, so yes this is a fail.

I've always found it harder to trick on a snowboard than on skis, but I grew up a skier and only board once in a blue moon. But I ride park and enjoy watching boarders landing a smooth trick. Crazy how long it took for the boards to progress to a real device to go down hill with control. Then it has a 20 year run of progression in board design and boarders skills increased to cork tricks, and now pretty much for the last 5 – 7 years snowboarding has become stale. Everything now is how many times can you spin and flip. That's just as boring as watching freestyle arial skiers doing BACK/FULL-DOUBLE-FULL-FULL.

I'd rather watch slow spinning floaty tricks then people spinning like a top.

This is the best "documentary" I've ever seen on snowboarding.
