[Applause] bring it to me then can we get it Kelly come and get it please great to knit three here in my hand not coming in you don't want to come in and go to your little chair you [Applause] everybody thanks for watching that video really appreciate that I just got a message from a a childhood friend that another one of our friends from childhood from hockey passed away this past week nice guy really super nice guy and spent the quite a bit of time with him in our teens because we went to high school together but we were also on the same hockey team for a few years so our family got to know there's quite well my dad became friends with his dad my sister played soccer with his younger sister and just a super super nice family and just unexpectedly he was on a school trip he's a teacher down in York Region Ontario Canada and they were on a school trip and I'm not sure what happened exactly but he went into anaphylactic shock and died how 48 years old same ages me just tragic I remember when we were younger he did have some health issues he had some he had SML oh geez and I know yet asthma and that affected his hockey playing bet but he was our goalie so he was able to function quite well and he was actually a really good goalie so I'm sure he's had to deal with situations like potential situations like this is an entire life but to be on a school trip at 48 years old and passed away suddenly it's just tragic for him and of course tragic for everybody who knew him like I said he was well respected just a nice nice guy and a nice family so my heart goes out to them this week and it's just a reminder that life can be short and those unexpected events can happen in any minute but it's also a reminder to live every single day to the fullest never know when your time is up and you know I don't know it's just it's just a reminder to live life to the fullest it's never a day that I want to go by that I didn't do what was necessary didn't let the people I know people I love know that I love them and to live a full life to a little fold every day not put off till tomorrow what I can do today and just like I said get the absolute maximum out of every single minute and every day so ironically just a couple of days ago I got a message while I was working right here on the ound the gables from from a couple friends childhood friends that I was supposed to get together with kind of for God or communication kind of broke down because I haven't been checking my messages and sure enough there was a you know get together at my Fred Jeff's place and for the families so I packed up quickly and I and I got down there and my wife and I joined them a couple of other couples Darryl and Jeff and we had a great time that videos on my other channel just uploaded that if you want to go check that out but glad I did it I haven't seen enough for those guys and haven't seen enough of a lot of friends that I've made over the years Craig was one of those guys that probably should have kept in touch with there's people in your life that come and go but some of them have a bigger impact than others or some of them are just nicer people than others and you can maybe discover over time that there is those people that exist and some of the others met maybe in your life aren't maybe quite worth the time and effort that you put into it which is kind of harsh but it's the reality I always talk about when you're trying to lead a happy life surrounding yourself with happy people or people that add to your life or people that need your care but don't become selfish and take too much of your time without considering what time that you need for yourself or for others so kind of reflective moments gonna be a reflective day I think of probably gonna kind of reassess a lot of relationships that I have in my life for the rest of day and probably for awhile it's a shame that it takes a tragedy to remind me of that and to write remind anybody I guess of what they have that's good in their life you see something taken away like you know like a like a good guy like that then yeah it's just a reminder to appreciate everybody you're in life and to appreciate your situation look for the good and instead of the bad now I've gratitude anyway appreciate it thanks for watching and I'll see you up at the cabin next time take care

I saw Cali going nuts out on the lake, and the thought crossed my mind — I wonder if she realizes you're feeling down about your friend's death and sensed that you need cheering up.  I know this is three months after the fact, and you may not read this, but if you do I wonder if you had the same thoughts.  Sorry for your loss.

I prefer that meal, I find that sometimes you eat too much fat and fried meat, and not enough veggies. This is more to my taste. 🙂 good video as always

Yes, life is indeed so short. I can count my best friends in one hand and all of them had gone to heaven in the last ten years, almost every two or three years I lost a friend. But we had great times and loved and lived the best and fullest each time! And we were in the medical field except for one- he was a wonderful musician and more than 4,000 people came to his unexpected funeral; Its okay Shawn, time always heals and there is the certainty that you will see your good friend again in heaven. Stay safe, live long and prosper. (PS- my Mom is still alive and she is 96 years old. She was born the day you published this video- February 22 nd.

I’m confused about all this, I believe I saw you had a wife, but I don’t recall seeing too much of her, and I think you have a daughter?
Do you have another home, are you there part of the time, year, then you go back to your family?

Sometimes death sneaks up on us, and other times it just sort of eases on in, but somehow we seem to be surprised no matter how it arrives, taking a loved one away. Even though I talked to both my brother in '09, and to my dad in '13, just hours before they died, it still hit me hard when they died a few hours after we talked. It makes you aware of your own mortality, and how quickly life can end. I spent 47 years as a nurse, and it always hurt when someone died. To feel otherwise, I find that person to be cold and calloused. Remember the good times with your friend, and live life to the fullest (as you do, without question) in the time you have here on earth. Stay safe, Shawn.

I found some chaga coffee and have had it a couple of times. Looks like they actually mix it with coffee grounds. Not sure what the taste would be like but with the coffee mixed it, it's pretty good. Thanks for the info.

Amen Shawn. I’ve lost my three brothers and Dad so young. Dad didn’t make it to 56 due to really crappy dna. Both older brothers and now also my middle sister. Take care. We know two things are sure: death and taxes. Funny/not funny when it comes to youth. My youngest brother died of testicular cancer at 18. Such sad loss of youth. But we all live with what we’re given and not to be preachy but I’m hopeful.
