alright I'm not sure of the exact timing on this but I know it's done Pavel boots neva CH has been extended by the New York Rangers two years at a total of six point five million dollars so we can start debating about whether or not the rangers dumped other money off in order to keep everything together I don't see any kind of a sign-and-trade coming along with this it's it's it's a decent trade decent length it's one of those ones people might find boring because there's really nothing to pull apart with this one it's it's just a guy coming around and saying all right well I'll sign and so it gets done I'm glad it's getting done because I'm gonna be honest there's been a lot of talk about whether or not they're gonna trade butch gavage I like putting average I think if they trade him I think that's a mistake I think that if they trade him I think that's just an absolutely huge mistake on their part and I think there's potentially 2530 goals in their forum this year the Rangers have a lot of good exciting young forwards if they can put it all together then Aaron gives them that it that that added gentleness a qua and if for instance I don't know say Henrik Lundqvist ends up being Henrik Lundqvist again because he did up and off year this past season if he can get back up to that next level and or georgiev or one of the other young goalie steps in be very interesting to see what the Rangers do this year but I'm glad they're keeping butch nebbish he's not a guy that I thought that they should have been looking to trade I didn't think that they would get probably enough value back for him if they traded him and this contract is perfectly fine because again if he becomes that 30 goal scorer if he takes that next step this contracts gonna look like a bargain and with only two years this is part of what I like with these contracts with only a two-year contract it's not a huge risk it's not a big deal it's not something that if he has a bad season you're looking going oh god we got four more years left you're looking going ok well we got one more year left we might be able to find somebody to dump them off on so we'll see what happens let me know your thoughts as always in the comments section below don't forget to hit like and subscribe if you're browsing away through you just happen upon this video and there were others signing things that went on today I'm saving those for likely a news video tomorrow morning so look for those keep your eyes open but between now and then thank you guys so much for all your support I'll talk to you again soon

I wouldn't expect much from Lundqvist. If you look at his stats, it's a consistent decline since 2011-12, aside from one year (2014-15). I'd be surprised if he did better than this year honestly. And I don't have anything against Lundqvist, I'm just calling it like I see it.

Buch was 4th in scoring (after the zucc trade) but was 9th in ice time for forwards! Great deal but I would have been happy to sign him longer

Wouldnt mind a Calgary video. Less than 5 million to sign 2 rfas. Brodie or Hamonic going? Someone else? What kind of return are they looking for?

Did the right thing. Rather keep him than Kreider. Pasha is younger and hasn't come close to peaking. 25-30 goal scorer if he can stay healthy. Plus we can get a decent return for Kreider. Get some more picks.

Glad the Rangers re-signed Buchnevich. The problem with Pavel is the fact, both Vigneault and Quinn have benched this kid (or taken away minutes) when he takes plays off. It’s easy to see, this kid is a monster but due to his issues he hasn’t hit 30 goals when he should easily surpass that. 2 year deal is fine but I wonder if he starts on the second or third line. It also means the Rangers have to buy out Brandon Smith or Staal. They have to make room on the defense.

Nobody will take Shattenkirk unless a high pick or prospect is included. Namestnikov I don't know him much but they maybe able to trade him for a pick. Kreider is the only play teams will take I believe.

NYR still need to find a way to dump players. Moving Kreider is a mistake in my opinion. However, they’re going to have to pay to dump Namestnikov, Shattenkirk or Smith (buyout candidate). The future looks great, but they are in a pickle.

Great contract but they will have to give him a payday in two years for around 5.5-6.5M

As much as I love Kreider, signing a "power forward" for something like 7×6 would feel like a mistake in few years. Players like him start declining surprisingly fast after they turn 30. We don't want another Lucic/Backes/Ladd deal.

Rangers are not trading Buch. Names and Strome are the guys they are looking to trade along with Smith. Trading Buch does nothing to help them with cap space. Cheaper guy entering his prime.

Rangers still have to resign Lemieux and Deangelo, and they're already $4.156 million over the cap. Even with some creative shuffling to the AHL, they're going to have to trade someone.

I feel like I'm the only Rangers fan who's not a big Buch fan? Every year he supposed to have a big breakout season and it's never happened. I think 3.5 is a bit steep and I'd rather have him at 3 and honestly would rather have more cap space to sign DeAngelo than to have signed Buchnevich.

This fan aint happy. Mark my words, hope I'm wrong, but mark my words Buchnevich will not hold up to expectations. And if put on 1st line he will hamper its effectiveness.
