On Grass and fast hard courts Sampres is unmatchable ! He would not let many rallies to happen on his serve !

It's so weird that Nadal didn't win this title even once.

I think this may be the only tournament Nadal has never even come close to winning.

Pete Sampras was made for those courts,I think he would have won the majority of games against every player on old fast hard and grass

1994 was heartbreaking for Becker. Sampras was almost out in RR and he went into the locker room and wished Becker ahead of his match against Edberg. Had Edberg won both Becker and Edberg would have made the semis. Becker did win a close match against Edberg and only ended up losing the final against Sampras💦

The fact that Rafa Nadal never won one shows what a difficult era of tennis this is. With players like Federer Djokovic and Murray to contend with.

Becker never liked to run. What a player he could've been, if he had trained just a little bit more (like Sampras, Lendl, St. Graf)…
