how long did it take you to recover from the experience at Manchester United maybe a longer than what I hoped but I think maybe when you look at the situation at Manchester United you'd maybe understand you know it's a big club to lose your job it really is because it's documented all over all over the world and I still felt that at the time that all we had be given 10 months and the job wasn't long enough and I think no people looking back at Manchester United would understand that there was a lot of difficulties in my time at Manchester United could not be a revolution when I went in it had to be eeveelution and I had to take time to change it couldn't be changed overnight and I said with transfer windows and and just the general Football Club force of his you couldn't make the changes quickly and it was going to take time how unlucky did you get in that first window that you ended up only with Fellaini who I don't think was your your intended target was he initially not marwan Fellaini was to be part of a group of players who would come in and by the time we got to the end of the transfer window we always thought that we were with a chance of getting gareth bale how much of a chance yeah we we hope that we could talk him out of going to Real Madrid because already it was it was already sort of half done we had offered more money we had there try to entice them to come as much as encanta ready to go and get in them we did denuded we had a nice ride also I've got a CSS fĂ bregas who's very coarse and I'd spoke to him in hope to bring him from Barstow order and but this is management and I think we all have lost a hard-luck story so don't want to go back and say these are high-end because it is worth pointing out that's all yeah it wasn't actually I say that you know I had their dude in the season I had met Tony Cruz and they could read that Tony Cruz with company Manchester native before tea he went to Real Madrid but somewhere in there I wants my job and it meant it Tony chose to go elsewhere do you regret the way not not the way it worked out but the manner in which it works out do you now regret taking it no I'd never regret team might originate it if the if the job came up again today I'd take it in a minute it's for me I've not been at Real Madrid there's a manager but I've seen Manchester United for me the best cop in the world as far as suppor everything around that we've got I think that there's a big demand on it whatever whoever takes the job nor you you have to win the games and I fully understood that I didn't go in a thinking that that wasn't the case you have to win the games that I didn't win enough games and ultimately if you don't win enough games you lose your Jewish Michael sat there what three four weeks ago and Ian said at the biggest mistake we made post-ferguson was was not giving David Moyes time enough well ice nice to hear because I think that is the fact in a genuinely believed bit I've heard some people say whoever went in after so now it's fairly simple only half of the this year in difficulties you know there was going to be difficult not because some Alex hadn't left things right because so now it's left me the champions the champions in the year before so I went into a group of players but they were having to what was the new manager you know it was going to be a change from what they've had before and you know even the money just some very very experienced managers are gonna after me a photo can you share with us that you found that you perhaps didn't expect or made it more difficult than we realized I don't think I could turn around and see the most asked question is again everywhere it goes of what would you do different David and I see two people I wouldn't do it indifferent I've got some small things I might you know might of in hindsight nor looked and tried to meet should I keep one of the staff which Alex had had which sure did try to do and it didn't work out one of you mean Mike well no actually it was a rainy day I had offered Randy the job and rented in the end decided not just Aynsley yeah I knew you know in hindsight then if I've known Rainey wasn't gonna steer would have been better keep Mike so that was that's decisions but that's what happens in football management you you make your decisions you go with it and you know you see quite often managers who move the comms know take the whole staff with them you know they're bringing all the staff with them so it wouldn't be it wouldn't be unusual for me to do that and yeah I'm looking at did I storm over the top of a coin no no I question you asked was the one we sat here adjossi Mourinho and we said any regrets and he said the one I wouldn't have take one I would not take the job be assured of her saying yeah that's what he said that's why I was going to ask you simply do you ever do you have any regrets I'm pleased to hear you say that you didn't know what about what about the stories we hear that there was a player Michael Carrick set you up David Boies came in and said we're gonna have to run a bit more and then this week I read Michael Carrick saying the boys have got to run a bit more does that happen when you make the transition from player to coach you understand perhaps a little bit more yeah I think I think so I think my idea was I wanted to have a really energetic hard-working Manchester United but I wanted to also to follow the money United principles which were which Andy mentioned earlier you know they played before were players they got forward quickly you try to follow that you know there's no reason to have change that are attempted him and I didn't try to went man Jess you later under fairly when they must have what you say is anyway yeah I don't know why people would think that would change with a new coach goes

Look I'm a kopite but moyes was hung out to dry by his senior players. Who the fuck were fletcher, Carrick and Ferdinand to tell moyes this isn't how we do things at united. Anyway, fuck em, ole at the wheel driving over the edge of a cliff. Like the pilot in dr strangelove riding the nuke to his doom. Yeeeeeehaaaaaaaae. Fucking bos lad

A lot of respect for the guy and let's not forget that Ed Woodward, who was also new to the job, was supposedly flying back to the UK at the end of the summer transfer window when the big deals are usually done.

Ah Moyes. A coach has to have faith in his own ability. But that is a classic Moyes answer – 'I wouldn't have done anything differently' (apart from keeping one of Ferguson's backroom staff). That's him all over – inability to reflect and change; same old, same old. And I say that as someone who had to endure that for 11 years at my club 🙄

I know man United is a much bigger club than Aberdeen but it is just very similar to when Aberdeen lost fergie the next manager who was Ian Porterfield had no chance and was given the boot about the same time as Moyes got at man United and that was back in the 80s, then we got some success with our next manager as did man United with Marinio but it was not enough and it would of been good success if Ferguson never managed either side but after both clubs having success like never before the demands from both fans of Aberdeen and man United expected nothing but titles and European titles that's great when you have a special manager like fergie but once he made mark at both clubs the fans want that to follow on to the next manger and don't want to lose anything because the fans demand what fergie demands from his sides.

Shit manager who thought big players just turn up and train themselves. Everywhere he's been after UTD he's not done crap, cleared out the back rooms staff who understood UTD how UTD play and brought his own crap backroom staff. Could only sign 1 player, led to UTDs downfall. What Fergie saw in him I would never know.

Bale, Fabregas and Kroos. We can all have dreams I suppose. I hear Brighton are hoping to sign Messi, Mbappe, and a reincarnation of Zinadine Zidane in his prime.

I always said to my freind who is a die hard United fan that the day SAF retire United will crumble and he laughed at me at that time. The team that notes inherited was a mid table team that needed a lot of investment which he didn't get and other teams just gone ahead of them during all this time it's an uphill task now for ole because with every passing year it will get tougher and tougher

No matter what… if Madrid want a player. That's it. Same with Barca. And others. United for some reason have never been up there to guarantee a world class established player purely if they just wanted them
