Thirty years fighting – so hard and now you reach this dream. I go into the competition, I say: „I can do it. I’m sure“. The bronze medal in Sochi was a little bit upset for me. After the bronze medal in Vancouver and already there we were ready to go for gold. My 5th Olympics. Before each one, something happened but at the last Olympics, everything just went how it should be. We were like a family. I felt so much energy from there – from my husband, from Bruno’s fiancée, from friends from all the people behind, who were supporting us. We are two different persons but on the ice we need to be one. We learned how to be with each other. There is a lot of trust! He can, if he wants to be. He will also be be an Olympic champion and legend. This is coming from another planet. He’s a hard worker. He can fall and fall and fall but when he has done the jump, then he’s happy. We have a lot of respect for him. He was injured and he came back stronger. I am so happy that he continued. This is something special. He is special. I was flying back from one competition and we didn’t do well and I was like: „Oh my god – we’ve practiced so much and we didn’t do so well. I need to watch something like, not a movie, but something like a story from an Olympic Champion“ – and it was Bolt. He gave me a lot of energy because of how he he went through this whole journey. This was so interesting for me. My parents were always like: „If you do sport, we’ll give you this opportunity“. It was a hard time for us and we give you this opportunity. But you need to give 100%. I don’t like to go out. I am so focused on my work, and I don’t miss anything like going out drinking or dancing all night. It’s not my lifestyle. I want to be a mother. I know some athletes who have babies and they still compete. It’s like how you treat your body. This is more important and you can still have a baby and come back.
