I used to figure skate competitively as a kid and I miss it so much I'm buying a pair of skates and getting back out there as a plus size adult. Thank you so much for these videos!

Hi I love this video, I'm 19 and starting lessons soon. I was wondering how old were you when you started lessons? And how many days a week do you practice? 😊

i'm 13 and have been skating since i was 6. you've been able to do more skills in 2 years than i was able to do in almost double the time! everyone has bad days but the people that get up and try again are the ones who are really resilient and have a love for the sport, which i saw in this video and your year 1 progression. i hope you continue to enjoy figure skating because it's such a beautiful thing to watch and experience!

I want to get into ice skating so badly! I’m not very flexible or good at listening to directions, but I am good at memorising routines and I’m very persistent to get things done.

This gives me lots of confidence, though!

Girl, you are SO LUCKY to be able to skate the whole year through…I started to figure skate again myself last season (did that as a child for some years), but can only skate once or twice per week from November til March each year, and only in a group with 20-30 other people sharing one coach (there are no private coaches availabe where I live), so there is hardly any progress possible for me, I guess…but I will try anyway. 😉
It´s awesome to watch your videos and be able to see how much progress one can make under the right conditions, send you much love! ❤️

How old were you when you started skating?? I bought my first pair of skates today! I feel a lot but had a lot of fun. I want to be just like you haha. I feel like it's going to take a bit more for me to get there though. I started at 21

This makes me CRAVE the ice… i used to go ice skating a lot as a kid. i was able to do the balancing on one leg and all that. Then adulthood happened. a husband and two kids later… and i havent touched a pair of skates in over 10 years. And it pains me. Being on the ice is like my happy place.. and being deprived of it, is such a deep pain.

Oooohh girl, I just found your videos and I'm super impressed, you seem to work very hard and also you just seem very nice and fun to be around haha I don't think I could do figure skating, my feet are not the best for those sorts of sports and they hurt most of the time, but I love watching it and will work hard myself, since I just started practicing volleyball for the very first time and very much suck at it lmao wish me luck. Let's keep getting better!

I've been casually skating since I was about 9 but never competed because I've always been scared I'm not good enough, I'm 16 now and this video made me realise that you shouldn't be scared to try so I'm competing for the first time in a month, this video is so inspiring!!

I'm 20 but I really want to start practicing ice skating lmaooo, however I'm way too old for it and I have knee pain since I was a kid just playing ice skates for two hours already hurts my feet and my knees a lot. And plus if I really want to start practicing it damn ma the price of getting a coach is so god damn expensive😭

I learned axels when I was 6 and although I’m not such a great skater now, I am re-learning on in-line skates. Your progress is really inspiring, and your spins are so elegant and graceful! I could never spin well. Jealous. For axels, you might want to try working on landing on one foot, that’s how I learned. We started with turning our upper body the direction we wanted to land and completing the lower body rotation in the air and landing on one foot. Over and over again. Also, we set up a line of cones and had to skate on one foot between them from start to finish to develop our balance on sharp curves. I think I landed it about 3 months after doing that type of practice every week. Good luck!
