hi I'm George jetting off I'm a ninety five and a half year old skier and I've been skiing here at Alta for 53 years I started when I was 43 not exactly a spring chicken and one of the smartest decisions I ever made when I came here in January of 1960 I asked what do people do here for entertainment someone said well we have a bridge I said oh and we have bowling and some people ski I said gee that sounds good guy says well I wouldn't do that if I were you I'd say why you might get hooked he said I thought gosh of all the reasons I ever heard that's got to be the worst so I took up skiing and fortunately I ran into Earl Miller the great inventor of the Miller bindings and Miller supersoft skis and he volunteered to teach me how to ski so he brought me here and and I also had some lessons from Al Franken I love powder and I'll look forward anywhere if there's just a little bit between two trees I'll hit it the pack slope is all right the grooming is okay but there's nothing like powder I live in the San Francisco Bay Area it's convenient for me to fly from Oakland direct to Salt Lake get a shuttle come up here you don't need a car and you can ski this wonderful mountain I love to come back to Utah and to find powder which is not hard to do King in itself is a great inducer to stay in shape you can't enjoy skiing unless you're in good shape so I started the program many many years ago of exercising every day and I exercise between half-hour and our every single morning before breakfast lifetime pass Al's the ski resort georgette Knopf they presented this to me at a little luncheon and they said they want me back to Utah and they know I like the ski so maybe this would entice me and it has it's a it's such a thrill to be here back in Utah for a couple of days of skiing I didn't get quite as many days in this year as I would like to but every day has been great as I say the worst day at Alda is probably the best day in most places so it's all good

I had lunch with Mr. Jedenoff a couple years ago. Interesting gentlemen. After lunch we rode Sugarloaf chair to the top and skied to the bottom. I was only 75 at the time and once at the bottom thought were is George. He was standing in back of me. My new hero.

had to turn this video off after the gentleman started to talk about his love for powder and how he would look for it however way possible. This reminded me of some bad and painful days in my past.

I am 75 years old and I teach upper level 7-12 year olds to ski we work on bumps on black diamonds, plus race training.  What it takes is you have to watch what you eat cut all sugars, eat lots of fruits and vegetables take supplements, and work out 5 to 6 days a week at a gym.  My wife at 71 also teaches skiing she bench presses 75 pounds.  I knew one person at Vail he was teaching a level 6 upper level intermediate class at 86 years old.  It is not just your genetics it has to do with your chosen life style.
