we have finished our round stage 1 of the double elimination we are in stage 2 of the single elimination I'd like to thank our other sponsors for the event their diamond products Kamui and omega and now let's move on to our two opponents for our stage to match it is single elimination race to 10 first up is the reigning and his opponent also hailing from Chinese Taipei he's the 2019 Derby City classic welcome everybody to the predator world ten ball championships being held at the Rio all Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas Nevada I'm in the booth this is George thi with Jeremy Jones bringing you live action from the CSI arena Jeremy what are we have here well we've got two of the top-ranked players on the planet I believe both top five in the world now if I'm not mistaken if you use Fargo rate to rate them or WPA wpa wpa2 top five this is the CSI wpa world ten ball yeah there's I think hoping he was number three just weeks ago and Chang I believe is number two with Josh filter at number one yeah with Josh filler at number one who advanced in our last match over an exciting match and another highly ranked player Jason Shaw well we've still got two matches going on and ironically both of them tied at eight apiece well we've got one heck of a match here these these gentlemen here hail from Chinese Taipei you have the 34-year all old John Ling at the table now his opponent 30 year old coping Yi watching them you know this is our first quarterfinal match we'll have all four quarter finals aired right here on live stream and a live stream to.com slash CSI forward in our last match we did with Chang we saw him not hesitate on any cross corners now this one here he'd like to be able to hit a high ball and go right in between the five and seven four position on the three in the lower right but he's hitting down on it because he's got to force the cue ball to hit go that much right it's not so natural to make the bank so he may be going into like that okay he held for a 3/8 combo and I tell you you guys got some nerve George kazi's he's baking across the corner trying to hold the cue ball with some drawl just for an off an go combination that's tough usually if you're gonna you know Bank of all this because you have an easy ball next but this is no hanger he's got a well three three eight Cowboys combos go but the distance between the three and the eight make it just a little bit harder well the thing is I think what he was thinking is if I don't like the combo well then I'll like to play safe it just felt like he was a big favor to make the one it's just what he did yeah now I'll tell you another thing as far as coping he's concerned maybe no one greater on the planet with the jump q no okay I mean there's arguably anyways and he's going for it yeah and I've seen I've seen him much in person I mean whenever I was playing and he made a jump shot on me a couple years ago in Virginia that was just unbelievable and I wouldn't doubt if he makes this one now this tells me the way the jump is that cue ball won't probably have a lot of movement just to get up for the for even though he's got a little angle I think he'll be struggling to get up for the four ball but well what a shot he's gonna get a safety out of it oh did he just at the edge I mean not bad though he's got him on the back rail he can't really draw behind the 8 and 9 he can't see enough of the 3 there could choose to Bank it to the side pocket but looks like he's got something he's looking at it pretty tough I was trying to see if he can maybe roll up on that 5 the thing about that is is the point in the way for the three-ball all right you know like is it where's the 3 going exactly it it's a big point from that angle yeah and it looks like just from what we can tell on the monitor it looks like that's kind of the problem oh he's gonna he's gonna try to slide it by yeah okay.thank he what he's thinking is let me take a chance of making it oh he's calling the side now ok Wow he's figuring on using the 5 to block it in case he misses it he might just be going for one heck of a shot here George just slow roll this ball in and show him how good he is you know he's on that that was the issue he had to cut the three enough to get it by the point but smart enough to realize that he need to hit it with enough speed to get to three to the in rail so a containing shot not really planned for the snooker is that's an open shot on the three but not a high percentage one could possibly Bank it to the corner looking for a safety more than likely yeah it's a little tight I kind of figured him become three rails behind the four ball mm-hmm there's some gaps there but it lays pretty natural right where he pointed his cue there that's exactly where he's going cuz he just pointed where he wanted and and pointed at the two rails he wants to hit after coming off the head rails yeah and the one thing when you take a little more time like this you see the seven bow there not only do you usually lay the cue ball down a little better you get a little better feeling for it you actually get a little better feeling for where you're putting the object-ball and that means that I wouldn't be surprised if the three ended up on the line behind the okay now he's played the cue ball perfectly he's going to give up a jump shot and another thing you'll learn from that shot is you always just play the rails speed of the cue ball and he played it perfectly because he left it on the rail well as he dines this shot out this is a race to 10 format single elimination now that we're the down to the final 16 we're using WPA rules this is last ball ten ball so if the ten ball is pocketed prior to being the last ball it just spots up as a regular ball the player continues to shoot we are using a 40 second time clock and it is alternate break he jumped it successfully and he's gonna give up a shot on the three not an easy one and one that you don't figure coping you to pass up on but it's kind of a funny little shot unless he wants to roll this ball and go into the five with the cue ball drawn it involves a few things that could be a little dangerous that means the scratch off in the side pocket deep dark hole there yeah now he must feel I can go right by the five because he doesn't want to contact the five withdrawal okay just a great shot what great control he just comes by that so clean well from here it opens that form because you'll have the four in the corner the five on the side the six up wow it just lays out nice you'll get to watch all the matches right here from now on until the final tomorrow night at 8:00 p.m. and Alex bag lion I didn't get a chance to see who's who's he playing there George Alex's it's Hill Hill my eyes haven't quite focused oh that's right Hall of Famers on that table over there plane in there Hill Hill well I can usually spot Ralf some from some distance but he's covered by this better bleachers well cope cope any is at the table with that little run out we saw that this in a few matches where countryman had to play each other in the final 16 that being them to Americans for sure and now to Chinese Taipei players having to square off in the quarter-final and these guys I'm sure pretty pretty good friends and one good thing about this situation is though they know one I'm just going to advance to a semifinal this is the first game the all-important first game they say that the hardest games to win are the first and the last in a set of this race to tend down to these last two balls pretty much assured of a win here ko Yuni steals away the first break there's that one Chiang plays with is sponsored by predator he plays with that Pantera series using the Revo shaft we're going all day here today this is our 12:30 we'll have a three o'clock of 5:30 and an 8 o'clock will get you those just as soon as they have all the final 16 round matches s they'd stay tuned it's a whoo-hoo we're gonna put on the on the big screen next droping years I would say just you know if you put category to category if you're talking about the break between these two I'd have just put change just a little bit the favorite when it comes to breaking the balls but not to take anything away from cope you can really you can really hit them okay it's made one they look at the one ball I don't know if you could tell right there I'm sure was a hair intentional but I think just the frame Chang's frame just offers a little bit more easy power on the break but again coping heat they can hit them but both players are so composed when they come to the table there they put that cue ball on the street yeah they're not gonna roll out we saw some suspect roll outs in the ninth vent a few in the ten ball early but these two guys you're gonna learn something from rolling out because they're not going to roll out easy they're gonna roll out very difficult and where they have a chance to get it back which is a lot of what you're trying to do when you're rolling out you don't want it to just be automatic the player is going to take it you want there to be some type of thought it's just like here it's not easy well be banging it back behind the six the one bulky into two ten that's possible there's it's a lot of control on the one there he's got options though he can try to use the five and Bank the one up he can chip the one underneath the six and run the cue ball two rails behind the 2 and the 10 these guys are really really proficient at that that type of hit when he got it back okay so again we haven't seen many that have been returned we saw a couple in the first match and then great jump shot made by jason shaw filter gave it back to him and he made a great jump shot for the side fight on the one its told it an opening around one direction oh we're now getting down to the guys that have played the best this week and that usually goes with a lot of the top players the guys that are just the best players in the world it's a little different on the rollout when they play each other it's uh yeah by Fargo standards which we use here in the u.s. copia is an 8:15 and Jang is an 816 COPI Nia's seventh has a seventh highest Fargo and John Ling Chang has the fifth highest Fargo I think he's called the bank here I don't blame him on that first shot though I don't think so first shot I think he's got he could see the 1 will get a good angle right now he can see it but I don't believe he can cut it right no I think he's real full on it yeah he can get a lot of it but I don't think it's cuttable or now he's look I don't wait like right he's looking at it again yeah he'd like to be able to flick it in with a little bit of writing less and come into that 4 9 4 position on the two but let's call for his extension as a 40 40 second time clock and in 10 seconds to wrestle I'd let him know it's 10 seconds some we saw in the first met some will take their extension at that point something will go ahead speed up and fire that within that ten seconds well Ralph sir kay's at the table in that hill the old match against out Alex back Lana I can't tell if he's an offensive position but he'll sense estwick looking like I'm gonna go Hills well well looks like we're Alf came back to the table he's at the table now so it'll keep you updated on that hall-of-famer battle okay that's gonna be a little too much that's gonna offer a cut shot you really felt like he could creep the cue ball back up on the 10th just got a little too much on the one ball coping he will not back down and try to run out from here you see Chang andum not real happy with the results of that last shot Oh a lot of people comment about his run out of bility Chang but really as all the tools so very upset also on gaming tactical play or kick shots jump shots perfectionist welljust he works on all of it and he knows how all of it's so important especially when it comes down to these situations and you're trying to win the tournaments because you can really outplay your opponent but if you give away a couple games and situations and get it a couple bad rolls maybe and you might call it can lose matches yeah we actually have seen that we saw some of that last week in the 9-ball we've seen some of it in the 10 ball it's pretty light with the cue ball there there was a little worried he didn't want to apply a bunch of left spin and come to rails and maybe contact the 49 so he just kind of wanted to thread the needle going by the for similar shot he opened with and game one thing is he's got a soft drawl this off the night well some people could also float towards that side but my opinion the Koch brothers probably the best at the soft draw stroke a nice shot maybe the best at it you think they practice that together a lot well they kind of play that way just to get the most out of everything there's a lot of great timing in the stroke I call it letting the cue do some work for you just manages I think they're probably the best set up because I don't know if I've seen two players that hit the cue ball so precise so often as much as the Buddha Cobra we all miss hit the cue ball a little bit at times come up with a key ball obviously we're drawing the ball that's a big common mistake to get a little quick and the tip comes up they don't ever really get quick with the stroke so the table no world was nine to eight over there my eyes fooled me now nine nine between Ralph's okay I'll expect line and it appears maybe Ralph will be breaking the balls off off there what will be the final game of that match now nine nine heels mistress check take a second game good thing the only good thing about that is that Chang will be breaking and two guys that get on with it it'll take some time when needed in there they are very steady to the routine but the routine isn't a real slow one it's probably fairly perfectly paid paced a little bit of a rhythm to their game maybe not quite as quick as a couple of other players we've seen but they they'd survey the field yeah well when you're doing it right just like throwing a ball or anything everything looks a little slower you know what I'm saying when timing is good it looks like golfers they barely swing it and they hit it 350 yards same thing with that good routine I think when you stick to it and you just got a nice flow it just looks real calm I really like the way you set so for a break here to be trying to pocket the two balls behind the one to the side pocket doesn't hit him way too hard what I like is watch not the long bridge a lot of people have really fallen in love with that long bridge and look at how tall Chang is and and that's one thing you'll see about the the Chinese type heat it's a type a players just that nice 10 12 inch bridge 9 10 inch bridge it's not that 15 that and I think it really helps and when it comes to striking the cue ball little firmer well he's broken the ball is very nicely the cue ball stopped in the middle of the table nice shot on the one easy to get to the 2 and then it just opens from there O'Neill's fan at the table but I don't think he has an offensive shot maybe a long rail bank that he'll he'll guess why set well looks like he's gonna go for for the corner pocket on this ball four balls available I don't think you'll play the combination well I'm surprised because he likes a little follow with top inside a mess and the one who looked like it was laying just really perfect to go with top inside right into the nice line on the two but it doesn't take much to change the shot well sometimes they'll avoid that because they're afraid of catching the corner of the the little corner of the rail ooh a point corner of the point of the rail of the pocket and that throws him off of where they're going now something didn't didn't like something here I guess now you just taking his time yeah we knows he's got a little bit of a gnat going away angle so now his thought is the nine ball what's the nine gonna do to me if I get that angle on the five to go into the nine I look like to me he could pinch it back though you'd like to have the cue ball where it is not when he shoots in the five yeah in that area let's just be a hair off angle here on the on this four ball I think he's I don't see why he just doesn't hit the side rail the bottom rail and come back up for the five but I guess he doesn't want that much ball movement well he wants that guarantee to so Hillary to pinch it back if he can oh yeah he can yet he was okay and maybe trying to settle himself a little bit maybe he felt like he was getting a little rushed in his routine and just coming off a a nail-biter in the last round and right to the tournament table just taking a short break yeah his last match he had to come from behind he does that a lot as well plays great from the lead but he played Cory duel in the finals in Iowa and cor just he played great on him and beat him the first set had a little three or four to one lead I believe Cory did and Chang really didn't do a whole lot wrong to suffer leaving the second set just you know stuck to his guns and got a few shots and end up winning it look at his delivery here on the stroke nice and straight good follow-through didn't over amp it just County came through the ball again watch the bridge length that George is even had a big frame guy it really allows to where you can get through the cue ball so much better without the stroke breaking down and therefore you get a lot of ezq power oh I thought he missed that for a second he hit it into the rail and it was able to go into the the pocket I believe peg Lyons at the table I don't I think I see Ralph in the chair yeah alex is at the table right now not to ignore what's going on here between these two Chung Ling Chang has a pretty straightforward run out here for this nine from the ninth of the 10th and all these matches are important because the loser of this match I'm sorry not this match we're watching but the ones on the side we were talking about settle for $2,500 the next round the loser gets $5,000 so they're playing for $2,500 what they're all lying though is that $30,000 first prize it increases pretty quick for the next four or five magics a little bit at a time Chang gets on the board after losing the first two games hope you will be breaking the balls mr. race 210 it's funny I was I was taking a look at some of the Fargo rates and well you got a lot of top fifties here I'll go down and count them up for you yeah well we got to it's a you get in this event mainly by your rankings and then there's some that are highly ranked that had to qualify just because their country is so dominant in the game or one of the dominant forces they only get so many spots in certain countries and we had 60 players qualified with their WPA ranking we also had 15 qualifiers that supplied us with 18 players because I'm the last the day before the tournament three people qualified for this tournament in a race to five event played here for real why Alex how your line advances will attend nine went over Ralph sookay and another heck of a turn for Ralph finished top 16 he's kind of like poison probably a little better as per say is like a Jim Furyk meaning a little more titles than Jim Furyk hasn't golf but a guy that's just steady up there every tournament he doesn't play him just for kicks he gets gets its own from it not win it but talk about the extreme and going to the extreme I mean that's the Tydeus way to play position that way when you shoot the three you don't have to contact the 5c that a little bit of danger there behind that so he'll go forward to the rail here for the five on the side the chair just watching intently now the junco if you get defeated I guess maybe a big hoping chunk sure was playing great and that doesn't matter at this state stage Jason Shaw lost the clothes from that ten to eight he's obviously was playing great pool you know he beat Markieff kibosh okay yeah I was gonna say was gonna most likely if he did lose it be a close one play play well and you expect it at this stage really like the way coping Sean loves point of interest ears to American players left left in history the top 16 Billy Thorpe and Tyler steyr Tigers tire pulled away and they pulled off pulled off a 10-7 the win a shot they were okay Billy was leaving in 64 Tiger teabag dimension had made some great shots I watched a couple of them he had a couple of positional shots exhibition style here good starter and what looks to be another solid out my cocaina extend that lead back to two games at three one it's nine nine out there wit Nils and so we've said young polish kid is just sniffing himself on the fireball you really made a nice shot come on a few rails to get back position 5 looking left up on that score as soon as it's done that's the last match from the final 16 that'll fill you Oh out our quarterfinal bracket after that match is done we should probably happen all the rest of our schedule I'll be right here and don't worry you're not gonna miss any of those quarterfinals each one up is gonna be streamed here on – CSI channel the good thing is you'll have Jeremy Jones Jimmy White and unfortunately myself you've got a fine job George we'll try the talkies to talk the weight to the matches how nicely such a break that long thing he talked about just you did really dud news one that was what the point is it doesn't yeah that way he get through the ball a little better more accurate hit on the cue ball watch out how far did you understand see all the way past the last diamond they're almost to the side pocket he broke drive of course as soon as we start to comment on how how well he breaks his hat commentators curse on the break and he's left a nice table for it's just about that first shot getting on the two not so sure he cuz he's falling away on the one and he's not gonna take a chance I don't think is trying to get around all that traffic oh I see what you're saying you so he'll come into the six yeah he might lay up here he might lay up here and try and just take the cut on the two he may play a cam shot on the two six trying to bank the two around table get another shot on it but the problem is the thing about your shot is so nice as far as playing the to six it's very different difficult you know the threes kind of tough well so so if he plays natural on the two to the three he's got his hands full okay it looks like he can pinch hold it with a little drawl just a little left of the night okay so there's more room between the two and the sixth and I thought well the thing is is there enough room to get to the rail come he's calling the six okay he's called the six so he's gonna three rail this to around yeah I like that better than I what I described much better and the thing about this is he'll have to slowly go on into the – I think to have the correct angle bank in the three I mean go into the six with the cue ball he doesn't want to cut the to a whole lot then he might lose where the two's going so this will be a real full hit banking it around three rails yeah like that it's it perfect and I think he's hit it perfect enough to hold the angle on the – to get over for the three he did he'll go to the head rail and probably replace the seventh with his cue ball or will he come straight across I think he'll soft spin it around and because he can bump the seven and be okay as well yeah so I think with the five there and you got a little bit of a steep angle drawing it can be a little touchy if he was just a hair thicker on it I think he draws it yeah I I like spinning it off the top rail into the seventh yeah just you try to float very soft that way if you hit the top of the seven you don't come up very steeply on this on the three like that see if he hits it much harder how how much harder the cue balls coming up so he comes towards that 9 ball right right and a lot of people whenever they're using the ball to go into they'll tend to put a hair more speed it's just like a natural reaction and sometimes that cue ball can get away from me very true I'll tell you what uh Chang really he missed the safety on a one ball and he's broke dry and that's really been the difference in this match other than coping he planned pretty perfect so KO panyi can steal this rack and take a four-to-one lead this was Chang's break I don't think he was happy the way the stroke was on that one you can see a little little gesture as he was walking towards the next shot I mean it wasn't a big deal no I'm just not but he said he wants to he doesn't want to have to draw the ball away he wants to probably use the rail to get his angle right and I don't think it's anything to slow them down on this one it's just a matter when when the good players make a stroke that they're not so happy with many times has nothing to do or gonna have any effect on what they're doing at the table at that time it's just that they don't want those suspects suspect strokes to creep in and cause them some kind of caused them a game or two later on in the match or even at this that at this point a shot or two oh yeah but it's just it's just a matter of you know these guys don't make very bad swings yeah and so when one happens or and it wasn't a bad bad one but just one they weren't in total love with it can be a little unsettling George mm-hmm I know when I play I fight don't do something the way I intended to it comes out different I'm not happy with it yeah same thing and you'll see a lot of players like myself people used to ask me well Jeremy it looks like you're upset with the position you got and I'd be just a little out of line and it's not the position it's the stroke that got me to that position that that is the worry and and something that I'll talk to myself about okay yeah he'll just pull this out of the corner two rails all right he's gonna hit it with the top ball nothing wrong with that and so now for two one and breaking alternate break that's that's quite a lead well it looks like quite a lead just because of the display that coping he's putting on right now of course we always talk about the cue ball control but or get in the pressure matches now and doesn't take much to for things to go awry heels now after missing a safety in a battle now okay pretty smart shot it looked like I know you the viewers can't see it but there's just the five six seven nine ten left on the table and these two euros are battling it to get to the final eight he played a for rail safety on the five ball leaving it in the middle of the table on the bottom rail but it was pretty smart if you see what he was trying to do he was containing but he was trying to shove the cue ball forward to Jack him up to get him in the air over the seven so from what he had it was pretty smart shot I thought and something that was very doable that's the main thing when it's Hill Hill you want to pick out them shots that you know you're executing kopi knee and he's really getting the wander track nicely his his he's not a hundred percent here so he's making them balls on the side a lot and now just as I open my mouth he's missed but the five ball goes for rails yeah I believe he's got a cross corner bank that goes and offers natural position down table for the two so I don't think you'll see him back off of this one he just looked at it yeah and he's got tons of cover as well if he gets by the ten if he's got any concern for the cue ball it might be that it tracks right at the corner pocket on the bottom but you probably won't hit that hard yeah and I think a lot of times you'll apply a little bit of left spin on this one so I think that'll carry him more towards like into the 10 with the cue ball especially on the slick felt because it kind of widens up a bit okay so appreciate why she gets the snooker there and Niels has got to go the jump you okay it's you and downward I think that's a that's a mistake I think just a high high outside ball here no reason to have to hit this hard draw the cue ball I don't believe I know sometimes it's a better way to you know to shoot at the bank you feel is he cutting this bull paint it it's not gonna work that's gonna work alright for now yeah well Neil's Neil's fired that jump shot in and it's a great position to get out now and speaking of a jump shot that's the thing about Harris even though he's got him snooker and it doesn't appear he can get shape if he can get this one down he and get any kind of a look at the two he becomes a favorite in the game sure cuz he's got four balls to hide five balls to hide behind mm-hmm that whole wall on the side on the right oh he moved the cue ball around for shape thank you very much it's gotten kind of straight here you can come straight back into the night yeah I don't know maybe drawn below the nine this this may be a little funny here might take some time on this shot well Niels is on the seven ball he's got the seven nine ten left yeah that's really just a little chip shot with span and get straight on the nine and you can see it's curtains so it looks like he's gonna okay he's there if he didn't catch the nine right there though he was gonna be snookered behind that seven and now consequently elevated over the nine yeah I was watching Niels how did he get the cue ball back there he drew it John he drew behind the nine and caught the nine coming out and if he didn't catch the nine coming out he was gonna be dead behind the seven day Wow but he had to take a little chance there just the way the line was so Niels fan who won our Las Vegas diamond Pro Open survives to the quarterfinals and trying to take both titles still in the hunt this is a much-needed game PI Chang ma daily four to one I'll tell you one thing about Chang and he's so disciplined when it comes to the decision-making like like right there for instance that's how we all want to shoot that ball jacked up like that's the proper way when you're in stroke and you're feeling good but he forces himself to shoot at the correct way no matter the feelings or no matter how things are going or or the situation a lot of people with the for being so handy might have to try to dribble that three into the hole being jacked up tried to make the pocket a little bigger by hitting it softer and he decided to in my opinion shoot the correct way have a little more accurate strike with a little more power see him lean this cue ball on the rail here for the seven in the side looks like he's soft drawn by it so he's gotta have a little concern of the 10th don't know he's dragging the cue ball okay oh the seven goes by the 10th much rather shoot a ball to the corner pocket in the side pocket you get your angles coming off of there give you more room to get to where you want to go for position pulls up nice for the 8 now it's just stop stop you have to come back just a little bit for this 10 ball and it'll close the gap to 4 to 2 now as he gets these two balls down I'm breaking in game 7 Sona still a decent position even though trailing two games come guys fire the money boy in a lot I guess they've never had one I'm hot back out on not yet then he fired it real hard pretty hard yeah a lot of the guys do actually on these short ones nails nails who just want he'll do that a lot on the little little ones oh yeah I know thanks I'll just get it there I'm not gonna roll it there but I just taken yeah yeah stroke and sure well that's probably from both of us playing on equipment years ago where the baldon bounced off you could bounce it out of those resident got the replacement pockets their pockets that came with it never happened to me once in fact I recall being able to shoot it was that kind of a trick shot you set the ball by the side pocket and you play it in the corner and you jump the cue ball out of the side yeah okay for two it's a race to ten to get to the semi-final between CO and Chang we're gonna have at least one one Chinese all right a little bit off and that's how you miss the balls is whenever you break for one side and you miss them on the other fortunate enough to get the snooker here and with the one kind of open so this may be a jump shot here he could roll out well he can't get there that's the problem the Thames in the way I was gonna say could roll out downward where the six has got it I covers the one up a little bit and just let your opponents see one little piece of it on the side he can't make it from but now that ends in the way I don't think he can roll out so easy you could come off the eighth and he's so good with a jump you know he's just he's not even gonna roll out and that is a couple things there that's saying that how confident he is with the jump Jim but also how well Chang is with the jump q okay because he's gonna Bank this around he's calling the side which he's got to know that one's not possible I think I would rather call it straight back that way if I miss it a little bit I got a chance of banking in the corner it's never gonna Bank on the side to speed it's gonna happen on that speed that might roll them to say even that is suspect well you could do it with shooting it with your cue but still be pretty tough like a regular shot trying to put them probably behind the floor or something like that okay that's a long shot for the for the corner pocket but there's danger looming in the in-form of the side pocket here for this ball that's cue ball well I think he can beat that it's just a matter does he feel like he can get on the 2 on the side with top right English I think it goes I think it's playable and the threes fairly fairly handy but that's a small angle I don't think he's gonna elevate here he may and shove the cue ball into the round over but I think top inside English is the probably say the prudent play thing is he's right in between he's got to put a lot of write on it to dive down to that bottom rail and get it going towards so now he's elevating he's gonna try and shove this into the corner and if he doesn't get all the way over George he'll just play from there maybe maybe duck on this on the tube just played for the bank yeah and he did that you know you put some pace on that ball and use that interest just hold it right there oh yeah very well done Oh a guy that's just not one that plays a nice position and shoots a lot of short shots because of that nice position really got all parts of the game is he gonna come around enough oh yeah yep a little bit of spin on the cue ball brought him off that rail he gave him a shot on the three and from here it opens up pretty nice the only problem you may have was the seven ball yeah and that's stifling and it's playable 279 and we already have seen a cross cross side bank and we've seen many banks through the tournament by jeonghwan Qian Qiang excuse me yeah yeah yeah he banks from the side Hill Bank into the corner he's fine with banking he's a very comfortable Bank in the ball and most great rotation players do beg the ball pretty well something you do a lot in rotation and when it comes to banking it's all about your stroke anyways and if you're a great nine ball player great ten ball player you probably have a pretty good stroke especially if you're from Kentucky all right okay most likely he's gonna get an angle on this five which isn't the worst thing you know one of the things about the Chinese Thai flavors I'm noticing is they go back and forth on the side side to side quite a bit on the table and it's very well controlled in comparison the Filipino players like to follow and go three rails to the same location well I like the zigzag a little bit more I think you and I talked about that early in the tournament when their pressures on it just seems to be a little more consistent yeah okay yeah and it's you know we're all pretty much the same as far as now like you said some of the Filipinos are really efficient with that top and English now what he's gotten we're seven nine combo was definitely in his future but overall it's just a little nicer way to hit the ball outside English for the touch outside versus a lot of inside especially now with these low deflection cues or no deflection cues well I don't think there's any such thing as a no deflection yeah I think that it's very slim on the deflection this man's using one right here well I don't think it's it's not no though right it's just very very mellow I think but apparently the carbon fibers is almost no deflection as soon as you can get to no deflection right so a little off angle here he's behind the seven a little bit but he's still got to cut it back a hair to the left it appears and maybe not maybe he's straight on well no by the way the cue ball reacts and we'll know if he hit and that's if he makes it over just to give it that seven ball should go to the corner okay yeah so it's perfect well that hit nothing but the pocket yeah and this will make up some of the lost ground he gave up the first two games and then lost two more after he won one so and really just I know Jim and I talked about it in a match prior oh my and he you know what he he took a hesitation on a couple strokes there almost like he was gonna start over and get up it's funny the stroke before he delivery yeah he hesitated it just hesitated it wasn't his natural you know now so many little strokes just a hair of a pause he has he don't have much pause at the cue ball but then yeah just it was weird you still didn't expect it no but when he hesitated I wondered you know but just when he thought he was out of the woods darn tree fell right in front of him mm-hmm holding up to seven ball and copening will gladly gladly fire at these three balls well I don't think he should go three rails for the eight in the side I remember this is where you yeah but come short you have a tendency to come in short well you know you can really get yourself in a bad position you fall on the rail whatever right but this is where I really like to remind a guy like this is just how great he is I understand it looks like man let me just move it three rails for this eight not not on the side and not have to take this a little bit of a shot from maybe around the head string area if he just comes back over but okay he's putting the inside so well a little bit harder outside oh this is all the way around you'd have to play the combo well the 810 must have been available but we've talked about this and I just it just seemed like a long ways to go to you know if the eight was up a few more inches or something it's different where it's really easy but I mean he had to fall if he wanted to get straight in he had to get on the line in the corner pocket to get straight in the side maybe he was going for the side pocket on the eight maybe have to come didn't come off that last rail enough oh absolutely he was gone for the side pocket that's what he looked at initially and it's just I just think it was a long ways to go especially with another option available now seeing most instances when you get back in your chair scope being just did you kind of feel comfortable because playoffs come with a great shot but against a player like Chang that great shots available it's an awful awful awful tough but he's called the eight ball in the corner and he's just going one natural rail I'm not sure he realizes how slick this table is he can kick two rails at this and hit right before the side and have a really nice chance of making it believe it or not a little more accurate hit than the one rail er never mind you might get fortunate behind the ten I think you did yes he did now that's one of the things about letting a player of that caliber come back to the table with a safety is that they can say if you back somehow someway or there's always a chance of a nice role yeah can't fault Coco ping Chun but he had a cross corner bank on the eighth I think that maybe I would at least entertained I would at least looked at it and said oh how nice is this and what's the chances of making it when he first lined up and we got the we got the screen shot of him cutting the eight ball I thought maybe he was playing in the side which would have been a real tough shot this is a nice return if you doesn't scratch oh wow this is a nice long straight this folks to me is one of the hardest shots and pool well you don't have much room to cue it's actually even less room than when you're on the rail now you can get a little more of the cue ball but anytime you're inside the pocket you have a little less swinging room a little less room for the hand as far as the bridge I recall some of those old old Brunswick tables with the metal pockets on the top there well the Astros really a sport where you could where you could get scratch of cue up on this shot yeah that's those are no those are no give me any means and on top you know had you not moved the ten ball up with the eight ball he would add a real hard shot on the 10 to so a rare miss on a seven I was a very missable ball no matter if you were a machine I think the hay ball was a rare miss on the seven there and a little bit of a funny decision coming from the 70 v8 for coping nyan he made a nice kick shot just like Chang did and it's kind of most likely get him a win here in Game seven and get him a three game lead again this is a race to ten keep in mind [Applause] five games to two now so kopi knee is halfway there saying I'll be breaking excuse me a coping Chun will be breaking off I believe in game number eight yeah gentling breaks on the evens whenever the score is tied the person who won the lag will be breaking that's an easy way to remember and I believe the players have left the arena as the referee racks the balls this is the predator or world ten ball championships sponsored by Kamui so go to Kamui tips calm and take a look at their products their visit to sites Omega billiards go to Omega billiards calm and visit their site Diamond billiard products predator predator ques calm Q sports international and world pool billiards this is being held at the same time that the BC APL and the World Championships in the USA PL national championships are being played here at the Rio all suites casino in hotel Hotel and Casino and we have probably 4,000 people in attendance we have three ball rooms full of pool tables there's 330 pool tables set up at the Rio right now in addition to these eight beautiful Dimond nine-foot tables and they're covered with predator xk2 cloth the nine foots and they're using the predator Arcos two balls and one of our players is sponsored by predator using the predator Pantera series with the Revo shaft so our sponsors have quite a bit of the products on display we're down to the final eight players those players oops are Neal's fine Joshua filler who will be playing at 3 o'clock right here on this table then right after that at 5:30 we have Alex paga lion and coping chung the younger brother see the younger one cooking chung yeah yes the younger brother of Koh Pini who's in the arena right now battling mr. Chang then we have Masato Yoshii Yoshii God Yoshi oka against Tyler steyr the only American left in the 8 players and we're back and copii need to break the balls leading five games to two taking his time making sure making sure he's set up the way he wants to be almost dead center just a little off to the left no you are right across the one over a little bit on the last break there for broke dry so he's moved to q-ball just to here it looks like oh yeah and he's he's had great results besides that one I think the commentator jerks is a jerk curses whatever talked about ok there's those balls in the side real square head both of now is they gonna give his way no yeah maybe not for the corner well I didn't look too upset about it so he may have the side pocket actually and if he does he's got a nice shot to get on there yeah he does I believe a nice shot to get on the 2 so looking to get a four game lead here and really it's all about these first two shots Georgia if he can gain a nice angle pocket this one gain a nice little angle on the two you can see the four next to the six and then from right there it's just stop stop very doable rack they'll probably go to the rail just trying to gather himself and it's not exactly that he was taking more time because of the situation or whatever there on the one it's just that he's learned to have that that routine and he's gonna stick to it and whether he felt well enough to get on the one quickly he's just gonna make make sure he keeps doing what he's been doing and what he generally does all the time and pre-shot routine so important so you line up right look hi puts his legs together and then steps into the shot right there steps into the line of the shot one thing I like about these guys is the follow-through really at the cue work so now a little bit of a shot here he's gonna look about going by the six but I also think he may entertain looking at also for the six in the corner he could draw in between and take a little cut and the reason why I would look at that is you got to go by the six right and then you're probably gonna have an angle on the six to where you're going away from the seven and you got a you got to really involve the nine ball in the shot so main look at drawing in between the six seven and up above for a little cut shot on the six and the lower right but doesn't appear he's doing that so he's pretty confident he's not gonna get too thin on this six ball playing back up for the side but you can see he's going away from it now and he's it's not a ton of angle either so you must feel he can roll this in pretty easily and still hold for the seven he's making sure he gets low enough so he can go around the nine yeah and I actually think he's floating this one in I don't think he's flirting with a nine at all just gonna maybe get a hair thinner on the seven then thing is don't let a last-second decision come in now if you change your mind that's fine but don't just say oh I can do it this way and you get down and shoot it that's really when a mistake happens one he's comfortable I'll tell you that that inside English there's a lot of insight English she just applied yeah anytime you're shooting to the side pocket you don't have them but you don't have a rail to run the ball in like a corner pocket offers so anytime you're applying that heavy side spin you're pretty comfortable you just made a great point Jeremy as he runs these last four balls off which are pretty simple but yet under the pressure situation still tough but little eyes right there it's a little light he may end up having to play this from above he didn't want to draw back behind the 10 I'm sorry George I think I cut you off there yeah and I and I had a senior moment you were saying something about a good point maybe about the side pockets or some side pockets a lot of people tell you how the side pockets are the largest pockets on the table but when you take into consideration you can use the rail and still slide the pocket in the corner makes it a lot luck if you measure them the side pocket is an inch wider than the corner right but using the side rails makes it about two inches wider yeah well that ends slow stroke that in the the angles you come in on the side and the funny thing about the angles is exactly that word the funny strokes you have to make sometimes work corners are generally making a lot of that same around medium a little less a little more where side pockets you've killed the ball sometimes you have to put heavy spin to get out for position and now 6 to lead with this 10 ball this might be a little tough to overcome but if anyone can do it change on leash or can't well you said he trailed I saw the end of his last match I wasn't here for the beginning but you said he trailed in that one and fought back for a big win he did he we were looking at it we had a very friendly friendly bet for a cup of coffee and I actually we took a couple players a piece and that was one of the players I chose there's no not that I'm rooting for him I'm indifferent as to who wins big betting here yes we're betting coffee and we get a free in the backbreaker room Oh what it was is we had to serve it up to each other oh well that's all yeah that's worth the coffee that's nothing I was way more than the coffee you know I promised you guys all right said mention something about Fargo rate and next time they rack the balls I'll go over something for me for you Oh jebal almost had an awful kiss I think it's gonna run in position to where he's partially snookered and a little gulp they're in little little gulp of the throat a little upset that he's gotten snookered here and jumpshots not that bad but it doesn't offer any angle to get down table for the two now he hit one heck of a jump shot earlier in the match and got the cue ball all the way around but this one here the one was near the pocket on that one so you're gonna see a safety I believe here you can see something like because he can hit this ball he's using this regular cue lining it up yeah he can oh he's gonna cross corner he's gonna know he could see it but he's gonna cross corner bank it and I think he can go with us yeah he can he's not gonna kiss it there's like no way to kiss this ball at all you can't even spin it with inside and get it back into the one he can hit this just natural coming down for the two all right that's gonna go long and I'm not sure he has a speed on the cue ball yeah this is gonna maybe be just kind of so-so for shank he's snookered to coping me but I'd like to bet on him to make it I think whichever route he takes whether it's rail first or jumps it don't be successful I think it's way oh wow he's he's jumping the ball yeah real first man he can't yeah he can't get to it well no even jumping real first I'm saying that way you create get some cue ball movement by jumping in that rail first as a as a very nervy shot and one that you won't shoot very often but he'd like to force this out just to the left side of the table his left side of the table just to get some kind of look on the two just for that window between the seven and the ten I think so and I think if he got decent he might cut it in watching how he aims his jump shot for the top of the cue ball then puts his cube acoustic in place the q-tip in place we found yeah hit the nail offers sure did I'm very surprising really huh yeah referee with the white gloves cleaning off the cue ball hands it to mr. Chang and he's got a makes he's got some room to make up here he's got four games he's got a makeup on he's he's got some work though and the first three should shouldn't be a problem but you can see a five eight nine he's gonna have to play so I think the five eight nine is okay as far as making the nine now the nines froze on the rail so that makes that ball a little bit more miscible it doesn't make the pocket quite so big the problem with that those you're gonna make sure we hold some position on the five he's gonna come right over for the five here and he'll come closer to it as well so a little he'll kind of a little clean punch towards the five ball here okay doesn't want to roll it because he doesn't want the cue ball to end up excuse me on top of the five so and the one thing about this this kid to react and get on the five could actually get all the way over to the side rail I don't think so I don't think he'll hit it that hard but it could happen you see the five going you Seattle angle the fives on and that was always the problem in my opinion he didn't really want to hit it a whole lot harder because I think that made the nine ball of hair miscible but it's just a matter how that five reacts on top of the eight and it kind of got across the table on him here now he's got a five eight bank combination that's sitting easier than the side side you know I just I was just saying at first he's got that and then he's also got the cross side bank as well well I was about to ask you which we thought would be easier to plays that's close or the or the regular bank to the side pocket that's close I probably just play the bank for the side pretty sure I do know he's going at the bank on the eighth well it's so much bigger he can hit this bigger almost a diamond away and still make it well as long as you over cuts it like that yeah again wondering what this five is gonna do for them and end up pretty decent got a decent shot for the corner corner pocket in your screen you get to watch the rest of the matches right here on this live stream table on youtube.com slash CSI pool take a look at the website for play CSI fool.com you'll see everything going on here at the Rio in Las Vegas next year I believe they're moving this week-long affair to March I think it's March 20th if I'm not mistaken the 20th and 21st 20th to do a little thin on the 10 on the side he's not quite there yeah it shouldn't be a problem but you saw one out of character miss on the seven just two games ago not a problem they're on the 10 though yeah for 2020 the BC APL World Championships in the USA PL national championships will be held March 11th through the 21st to 2020 so those of you that come to the to these tournaments for that 10-day affair it's going to be moved up there's scope Eenie one of the top players in the world has the seventh highest Fargo rating in the world the man he's playing has the fifth highest Fargo rating in the world and how does that compare Joshua filler has the third Shane van boning the second and Jing Wu has the first with an eighth twenty six number six would have been Dennis or Coolio who was not here excuse me somewhat surprising to surprised Dennis wasn't here Robocop some player okay hit those a little flat is that begging for the four and he got it kind of get up something on the one I believe no the nine ball just rolled up on top of the cue ball yeah but yeah sure did again a positioning he can't roll out to an easier jump shot not with Chang behind him he kept this oh yeah I'm coping you won't get that back if he rolled out to a little bit easier jump shot he could roll out to a – real kick on the one which I'm kind of wondering if he'll get that back also so after a foul on the last one and that the camera will really show you something different it looks like he's aiming the kick at this ball oh I lost the cue ball off the table one of the problems to jump in balls when the object ball is close to a rail is the cue ball will leave the table a lot although I didn't think it would there but he had to get it up in the air really quick this is quite the match between this reigning world ten ball champion and this reigning Derby City Classic champion for ten ball also an international nine ball last year dude there Wow barely it's a little smile we I can see it you can't you can see it there a little bit you don't see it very often man I tell you I mean you just smile yeah and seeing just like that you see how the two rails towards the corner really keeps you in line not as much worries a lot of players would have tried to come down for that five in the side there and run past and gotten behind the six sometimes wow these guys but I'm talking it's just a worrisome shot though when you're even if you hit it correctly when it's coming down the table you're still just a little worried because it's not it's just not so natural and it's not such a great path I like coming out short off those two rails on top like playing them the only thing that's that happens every once in a while is you overdrive you go right into the corner oh yeah but other than that probably just come off the rail a little bit eight ball in the opposite corner he doesn't mind moving it he doesn't mind he doesn't settle too much as far as oh let me minimize everything feels pretty good about most strokes that was a good indication of that I'm a good position to cut this to 6to4 and breaking so he's hanging in there yeah and after stating in my opinion I thought maybe coping e being the top with the jump queue in the world or arguably anyways he's amazing how the last two games have been given up with airs off the jump q do you think you cursed him no I mean I hope not that wasn't intentional I I don't believe in commentators curse but sometimes you draw attention to a certain aspect of a player's game and all of a sudden that one out of a hundred or two out of a hundred they miss it right pops right up pops right out and now we're at six three four and Braden braking so he's he's won two games in a row there yeah he's won two in a row he was down six to two coping he jumped at the one and fouled and then jumped at the one again and jump the cue ball off the table so those errors are coming into play and he's been never able to change been able to convert him into into games and right here he can draw within one game putting a little pressure on his opponent because as long as he has a two-game lead I think you might say he might be a little more at ease well yeah for sure and it's one thing you can't hardly tell would Chang but he's really just a in my opinion oh oh he got a couple kisses kiss saved him the first kiss kissed him right online the second little kiss but that one ball is trying to hurt the cue ball right into the corner and Chang had you know he wants to win of course we all want to win and that's what he's here to do but I think he's he's kind of the exact kind of player that you you tell people to try and be meaning as a pro he's in it for the long haul so he's just trying to play every game as well as you can and let the score kind of fall where it falls and he knows if he continues to do that it's gonna it's gonna fall his way a lot more often than it doesn't somewhat of a Granger yeah I mean grinder isn't I mean he's I don't know he stays pretty relaxed now he's working he's a worker along with obviously super talented but but I guess I brought this up because you said he feels a little better about the two games of course he feels a little better you know twice as good and he's down forward and now he's only down two but I think he just looks at overall whether he wins or loses it's just all about that effort gotcha now I was actually making reference to coping ye feelin better Oh a little more at ease with a two-game lead then a one game lead ok waiting at a four game he had a four game so he's not feeling real good but yeah that's I I didn't get that out there right ok now is he gonna shoot this with some speed and come three rails back to the center or is he kind of kind of roll it it's right in between he's readjusting the ball because he wants a good feeling when he comes down and goes down on the object ball ok great shot he's got a good shot no he's real good and he doesn't have to elevate he can go past the three with the three being so available for the corner and the side and I don't know if you noticed that you you kind of recognize that all the sudden coping need seems a little more unsettled taking a few more deep breaths that he did just not long ago I got off off the shot a couple times well he won two games and Chang wins one then he wins two games from Chang wins one then he wins two games and Chang comes back and wins two well this one here is huge just because of coping me breaking in the next game and my plane is to the side cue ball sliding over for the four and he'll want a little 5 or 6 inch bump off the rail with some angle so I don't think he'll float here this will be a draw stroke to the side rail yeah stand away above the 4 really nice that weight comes down the left side of the table and again you try it you come down to full but you pulls as far as you want to go on the 5 but you usually stay above this 5 just a hair like he's doing here that way you run the q-ball natural a lot of players always want to come down the straight in and now you got to start hitting the ball much harder to move the cue ball and when I say a lot of players that not a lot of players in this field but a lot of players in general correct and I totally get it because I you would as well as I do make comments to help the average maybe just above average player with positional play yeah and it's once you realize that little above cut shot is not that hard once you ignore worrying about the make on the object-ball well now getting through the rack and playing the game becomes much easier and this shot is one of my favorites what's that a straight in money exactly I didn't know if it was the blue 10 or the yellow 9 defense was because he was shooting it and you weren't I don't know what the situation was whenever you said that's usually one of my favorite shots 7 to 4 and breaking the balls I always tell some of the juniors that worked with you only boy you want to be straight in on is the last shot mm-hmm that wins you the game all the others you want an angle to go to your next yeah that's kind of like side pockets when I explain it to some people will help it'll almost be obvious when you want to be straight in on a ball to get to the next meaning I need straight ends real nice right here it'll be it'll hit you like a ton of bricks kind of like kind of like the side pocket too it should be a little more obvious to you when you should play side pocket position rather than running the cue ball around all the time for the side pocket just when it's a little available okay he's had to face a couple jump shots in the last couple breaks he's had and we'll see if he can get the ball down in the one ball clear to maybe get to eight to four well struck there well struck there and he's gonna get the shot on that one now what's the two gonna do he's all right because the nines over the side so he can play that one and come to rails and have a big pocket on the two on the side with the nine being there being a right hand or two that's where he's looking immediately and this is the shot of the rack really uh you can see the recipe now well now there's some work from the 7 to the eighth but if it gets correct here he'll play a four six combination and then the five the four and the five leads to the seven pretty easy yeah it's just really this shot and then the seven of the eight as you mentioned I like gaming the third rail here just because I'm so nice on the one I like really trying to wrap the corner rather than floating two rails by like he's looking right now and if I was a little further away from this shot I may just hit it with a high left and and come to rails and just float by the two a little bit but he's gonna wrap the corner and catch the third rail hoping to just let the cube off that third rail just ripped in between the two and the five okay he wants that to go a little bit but with the nine being there that's the beauty of this position shy yeah pocket and now he's got a choice to make do I go into the for a little bit or do I try to follow by the for me myself rather no I'd rather go by it I'd rather not obstruct anything here the four six is really easy I just don't see how he's gonna go by it it looks like it's gonna hit it no that's some good strokes there George yeah get through the ball like when you help those those students it's one of the things with the stroke you want to try and get through the ball through the cue ball with the cue stick which offers to get through the cue ball the cue ball gets through the two ball a little bit better so now really nice he'll just shoot the four six and carry the cue ball to the ten lightly doesn't want to make them both but if he does it shouldn't be a problem oh nice speed didn't even chance that and not too much issue as far as the nine to the ten right with the nine being over the side okay staying underneath the five – where he can one rail come at the seven of the and the sweet thing is he'll have a natural angle to go across for the eight it's a good thing about this line on the five there's never ever gonna be not an angle on it he'd have to really over hit it that's just perfect okay now a decision a little bit do you play for the short side or do you come across just indicated both so let us talk about that well I think you realize the eight is okay to come up on the top side of it and play to the shorter pocket maybe you get that second rail bounce here most likely perfect and I like that because you can be a little more aggressive getting on this nine and and make sure you get in a good position if you shoot the other way you might fall a little straighter and then you got to move work the cue ball around the table from the nine to the ten now which do you prefer here do you prefer just kind of coming off the rail right where the eight is and then going three rails for position or four rails for positions one rail just one round yeah this comes straight down down there yeah even if I got to force it a little bit here yep this comes away from the rail a little bit or hit the rail right through the ball game yeah yeah that way you're in control you're making those good strokes now players like to go around the table there and the end of finding the corner pocket well when it comes short but that's where they end up going you know it's it's an option right so it it's kind of your second option so if you can play into your first option that's what you try to do but of course that three rail angles one you got them you got a master sure and now again stretched out to eight to four oh it's a little hard to overcome especially at this at this stage of where his opponent is dueling Chang is got a tough road to hoe here he sure does and and really could have been over not saying because any mistakes by Chang but just a couple of dry breaks but coping he missed a couple jump shots is he he made one of them he just jump to cue ball at the table and then fouled on the other but but not gonna let off the gas that being Jim Ling Chang Chang John wing well the Lucy here will settle for $5,000 the winner continues his hunt for 30,000 does he have a shot he's strated on the one ball I believe the four it goes by the four he took a little off that break – didn't break him near as hard as he can and if he's straight here which if he just has any angle he's gonna attack with top right in top inside English right side spin and come to rails for the three it'll just float to the center though watch he won't just whack it and make sure he gets all the way he wants that angle on the three and that's the another thing you can pay attention to a lot of guys would just go ahead and open that up to make sure he gets there he's playing to this point he wants a little bit more one of the things about especially this table is it is fast mmm the bed is fast the rails are nice and fast or crisp so it makes that shot much easier and these guys don't have to you know really get behind the the cue and push it through there or stroke it through there excuse me so they can move the table around you can move the cue ball around the table with a lot of ease but as you've noted he's got a lot of power dude with Stan's Q stroke yeah oh this looks really good but he needs it he's got to get to that five and he's got to get the next one's got to steal the game from Cole he's actually behind – – service breaks closed on quote service breaks now this one hearings out of the woods yeah I'd like to come for the corner it's a little full so he's got to kind of creep it out of there you see how I kind of slowly because if you over hit it it's gonna have a little hydraulic on it kind of stalls all yeah it's gonna hold up a little bit mm-hmm and this is two reels back and forth cue ball somewhat on the line it's on now for the nine our payouts here are 30,000 for first place 20,000 for second 10,000 for third I love the breakdown that I saw on the payouts mm-hmm of course we're human we'd always like it to be triple the amount right but as far as the purse the way they broke it down I thought they did a fine job paid what the top 24 was at the top 24 I believe they did pay the top 20 for the top 32 they paid the top 32 half the field half the field and and when you were in that top 32 you got $1,000 for the first 25th that was kind of nice for those guys yeah and then the groups kind of brought changed a little bit as far as 17 through 24 that's your normal double elimination but then it went to 9 through 16th in the last round once it started single elimination so that was tied for 9th whoever gets defeated in this round will tie for fifth through eighth but whoever wins this match here being a Final Four right so moving it right along here in the Parador world ten ball deadly stare taking more time to with the strokes now he missed it a little bit he knew it he's gonna get a shot behind it he's gonna get a look at the one it's awfully funny to bank it though yeah it's got a little funny angle and he's on the rail can't really manipulate the cue ball if he was off the rail on this angle I think you would see him attacking for sure but it was up just a little yeah and I like him is he gonna chip the one and run a cue ball 910 I'm a good thing about that as you've kind of feel like that you're gonna leave a 1 8 maybe but I'll tell you I kind of like I kind of like playing the cue ball back and the one down underneath to 10 I'd like to chip the one I got you because you have the four to come into play yeah or even all the way back on the three there to like cut the one just past the side and let it go down to the in rail he's hitting before the side he's looking before oh he's looking to cut it in I think I like hitting past the side with it that way and bring the cube all the way back in the area it's in now and and the one down below the 10 and and it looks very doable to me – it doesn't look like I'm stretching it look at the layout right now I kind of like just bring the cue ball straight across behind a five that's what I mean yeah I cut the one down below the ten and just don't want a rail cross just now he used before the side and he felt the speed was better to use the 4 and the 3 that's a shot that's a slight jump and that's what that's what you're gonna see though the nines got him cut off on one kick the tens got him kind of cut off on the other kick so I think you're gonna see the jump cue here and that's where the players know better than we do as far as what the table really I mean the feeling you get over the shot and the speed control was definitely better this way sure what's he called what's he called though he's he's got to spend before the side with a lot of left left side spin and dive down towards the one I think anyways I don't think he can hit past the side and go at the one he's got to hit before the side now coming at this angle George offers a lot of scratches especially with the six there see him elevating so he's trying to swerve her in there he can hit behind this and scratch he can come across the one and scratch off the six I'm interested to see what he called yeah the one and I'd liked him jumping at that ball I just thought that the nine was in the way one way on the cake then the 10 was in the way on the other well the ten was in the way to get to the good side of the one he could have come across the top of the one I believe you know you called in the corner pocket my tía called the six ball coming off the top I think probably the one phone maybe I don't know I that's what I'm saying I'd like to know what he called he definitely called something but now ball in hand is this gets Co pinging right to the hill yeah and it gets um what will be let's see now it's three breaks no two breaks excuse me – trying to win the match which against this guy Chang we said it about other players that's that's what you want playing anybody in this field no sure two breaks to win the match and then also you got a couple other games in between them where they're breaking and you can win but against Chang that's a well it's a really nice position you know I used to hear these numbers here and there and I don't know if I made them up or what but I would always hear that a good pro runs out 70 breaks and runs 70% I don't know about that high that's high well you know the ball well that's for Tim Bob before ball well actually ten ball the way the guys have developed the break you know with certain nine ball rules with the nine on the spot 3-point rule and all that maybe the 10 ball breaking and getting shots is a little easier but this day and age I know the numbers gone up George but I'd have to say still hovering around 50% I thought yeah well if it's 50% let's that's still a big number huh yes sure and he's got two breaks so what not it – yeah he should he should get the the 54 that's the point I was gonna make was the odds of numbers are in his favor to win the match with two opportunities him and that's just saying that chain goes ahead and does takes care of business on his breaks he's had a few dry breaks and he's had a couple miss it so that's gonna be a hair light with the qaul still shouldn't be a problem you just come across the ten and shoot in the same pocket yeah this is that nice pure draw stroke talked about before just really clean for those of you that are watching if you have time stay with us because right after this match will have Neil's fiim and Joshua filler at 3 o'clock okay so now 9 to 5 Chang will be breaking off in game 15 I need some results George he needs hope well his backs against the wall you can't back up anymore he's got a he's got to fight as best he can yeah you know a couple rare mistakes that we saw 7 ball and just a couple little things really and if you talk about coping in who hasn't won this match yet but talk about limited mistakes his only mistake has been with the jump cue it's happened twice he fouled on a long one ball and he and he jumped the table after making a tough one ball jump shot but other than that I don't recall this mistake on a safety he missed a cross corner bank on the one early in the match but it wasn't easy it wasn't like a hanger oh he's liking this yeah three balls on the break he's got an open shot for the two he's got a fairly easy way to get to the three and from there tight a little thin on the two so there's definitely some concern with the especially with the nine being there if the nine one they're not too many problems he might try to edge this even thinner maybe go into the nine leg Lee I like him using some inside English yeah and just going into the 9 maybe coming inside coming back inside the night he went around okay I don't disagree with that play just because with the 10 and 4 there you got to hit it hard enough to get around the 9 and we've seen the cue ball roll out a little bit and it was gonna be on the position to where he could have possibly got behind the 10th well this is a great start to this rack he's got 5 balls remaining did he get a little flat on this where he's got to worry about that side socket coming back or he picked up the pace there even when he broke the balls he didn't take as many pre strokes as he normally does and he shot the first couple pretty quick so that kind of tells me if he's taking a little time here the side pocket is in play it's a concern it's one of those shots that you think you can get by but you're not a hundred percent sure you see how close he comes to it Oh a nicely done I play the eight to the to the low side pocket and Chang stays away from the side a little more than the eyes though yeah I mean I I just like I just let myself it keeps you in stroke is I know people always say well don't pass position to play position and and I understand the theory behind that and that comes that comes into play a lot see he played position exactly like I would have played that but I see a lot of the especially at this level I see a lot of them just stopped the ball for the side pocket and go right to the next ball especially when it leads to the 9 the way that one did yeah well when you're confident and I don't know I just I just like to woody what he's doing when you're confident you don't want them little funny shots to the sides I know you figure to get straight in but ok again a little bit different at the cue ball here and he's done his part and now he's got to find a way to get back to the table and see if Cole ping Yi will let him back to the table at 9 6 now we do have believe one other Chinese Taipei player left in the event that would be coping Chung coping he's my brother got one American left that being Tyler steyr one player from Holland left his fan and you got a chap eni's I believe player left I was masado else we have one ideon Alex peggle ayah I was about to say Filipino but he is representing Canada let me think what else there's one I'm missing yeah we had 64 players from 24 countries tank hoping you need a break off Aaron gave game 15 and excuse me game 16 and on the hill this is the first World Championship played on US soil since 1997 okay got a little kiss on the cue ball the nines not gonna get in the way well he's gonna go for this I believe he's gonna try and win the match right here me I think anyways and it could be a little thin cutting the one in but it offers going right into that four and eight would you consider banking the one two that by the six ball was that big maybe maybe and then what crawl side in the cross saying the four I'm sure look at this cut shot first what is that's what he's looking at pretty sure he's looking at that I just looked at that as you were talking about that the cut and I said well I wouldn't put it past him and be a good play if position served him not sure it does I like him shooting this especially these Koch brothers they don't mind floating this in you don't want to shoot this like a hundred miles an hour having to cut it and go into that for eight a lot of funny things could happen with the cue ball but you'll see these this shot here he's not gonna baby it soft it's not gonna baby it yeah but it's gonna be a mild stroke you might say we left to move the eight so he could have a shot at the four yeah and it's just depends on if you use it with any English okay he's gotta be a pro he's taking his extension or anything yeah and I shut here's that cross side bank that I think he'll attack on as well and the only reason he got a little off on that when he shot the one a little thick to the hole so she ball got a little off line as far as going into the 8th but really one shot and man this is funny though I don't know if he can roll this and get over as far a means to draw this Bank I don't think rolling in is the way to shoot this so you think we're gonna see warp speed here and the key back no I don't have to shoot him man he's trying to go forward and I think that makes it miserable and harder to get position ok you got over there rather well on the 5 so this will be that subtle kill stroke you can hit it with like a middle right English or a drag stroke just kind of depends on what you prefer I like the drag show stroke and that's what he's doing he's going to the bottom of the ball and watch the cue ball just kind of turn over about a foot before becomes a roll shot but the reason why players do that is they get to make a little more full swing you're not hitting the trying to hit some real light delicate roll shot then of course the ball won't roll off on you with the flow yeah and it's just a the main thing though is to get to make that full swing under pressure you'd much rather make more of a full swing so really this is it don't get elevated over the eight he's okay those bizzy's tidy oh it's a little thin but again here's that soft draw stroke looks like he clears the ten if he wants but still if you if you hit it with a high ball you're coming to rails to the cut on the eight so I think you'll still simc you downward maybe now he's looking at the top English now and he's regrouped a few times and I think that's smart there's nothing wrong with you know a lot of people say man the nerves are giving to him you just got a handle isn't it just give the shot the respect it deserves he's blowing three rails around for the chef's that's what I thought he might play great shot there because it was hard to float you had to worry about the ten to come on the hit the bottom rail first and it's just this was nice and you could use a full stroke this clearance is for the match oh my oh my oh that was big there's there's that old saying first and last of the hardest to win after making that beautiful three rail draw shot to go around for position on the 8th he failed on the shot nine six he'll be breaking Chang will be breaking he's gotta get these – yeah yep let's see let's see man what a big mess but coping he just won you don't see very often you may not see it again for another year or two but Shane taking dead aim on this name there's no way he wants to not punish him for that miss he really wants to punish him okay coping chun is gonna take a little timeout take a little breather little left the the arena here I gonna get some more water no he's got water Jane will be breaking Chang will be breaking the next match coming up at three o'clock or possibly I'm sorry yet three o'clock so we saw a half an hour to go is Neil's fine and Joshua filler both players had tough matches their last ops I mean Neil's had to fight back and get that he'll he'll battled over there and we kept bringing up to you and Josh fought pretty hard sponsors Kamui Omega diamond billiard products and predator Kamui tips comm visit the websites Omega billiards comm predator cues comm you know on the predator side I was on there before this tournament and they have they sponsor I believe seven they sponsored 70 18 pros that played in the 64 man field and and I say 64 man field because this was a men's WTA tournament the women have their own tournament now there were ladies in this event right no there were ladies in the 9-ball of it not in the not in this world I thought Christina could Tkach go to know she played in the Las Vegas Las Vegas time in Las Vegas no I know that but uh okay I thought she got an invite sponsors invite for the I was talking to John about it and he said that even in the qualifiers women were not allowed to play this is a strictly honest event no because the women have their own world world event yeah I was talking to I said should I mention that he goes right and then I was in the chat yesterday while you guys were doing a doing one of the streaming one of the matches and there was this women who versus men you know discussion as why can't the one to play with the man or whichever and they never questioning the fact that there were no women in the event is why I thought I would address it should have warned you well kopimi is back and here comes Chung Ling Qiang Qiang Shang Lin all the players taking note of the time they play we have three matches left to be played today 3:00 p.m. 5:30 and 8:00 and then we'll start tomorrow which will be the final day at noon good track on the one bow now is it gonna get too close to the cue ball I don't think so he's good he's really good on the twos getting covered up a little bit he's looking at where he wants a cue ball for the two ideally he probably wanted on the left side of the table but the seven ball covered up that area and so I always got to go for the right side of the table over by the six ball well I may play for the side here and you would love to play for the corner but the thing about the corners it becomes between the 65 he's got to get really ideal to get over for the tickety yeah for the three so he may let this go and come two rails out by the seven and play the two in the opposite side pocket that's exactly what it looks like he did it doesn't need to be on the rail though the rail could be really hurtful he's got to bring it back now or can you go by yeah he's got to bring it back he's got to bring it back and he's got a pain what it looks like he's got to bring it back with perfect speed sure cause any bumps if he goes past the three he bumps the ten with the cue ball we must have a little angle to where he can draw with no worries about drawing on top of the three it's a big shot to the side pocket though I'll tell you that cueing down it'll have some speed because he's got to work it back all right nice shot perfect speed too oh and he's what a nice angle he's got an angle to get to the bottom rail and up for the five there's that inside English shot that sharpens the angle so he can come straighter up he's looking good for him and really aim to hang in there and coping he's probably gonna be put in a position to where he may only get this next next game to have an opportunity to win the match okay okay you saw that come off the rail just a little bit yeah well anytime you come backwards with the cue ball on the froze ball it wants to come off the rail just just a touch no we didn't quite get down there yeah should be okay just float forward a little bit yeah just make sure you're not elevated you can handle straight in you can handle a little bit of an above angle but how he corrected it with inside English corrected his angle came back towards the ball a little bit in these last three balls you want to straight straight in nicely done now he just goes to the rail and comes off the rail a little bit or will even bother getting into the rail oh yeah I'm sorry they might come all the way back over they don't have any problem moving the cue ball yeah and he always wants to miss that's the thing about the way Chang plays and that's something I'm a big fan of is you know if you have a shot and you can shoot it with three different speeds roughly let's say soft medium and hard and you can get the same results with either take off take the medium well take the one that you stick to more often which is gonna usually for most of the great players is somewhere around medium you know there may be a hair less off medium a hair more off medium but you're making a lot of the same swings you just gripped a cue ball a little bit differently that way you're not changing the swing speed all the time sure and then under pressure you hold up real well I told I totally totally agree with that I like doing that and I've a couple of people who told me that you might just float it because that's where the Roloffs come in that's where the well you're making different motions though I'm saying you're making different motions of considerably different motions from shot to shot a lot of players decelerate their cue right right early you know eerily similar to like a golfer who you know when he's doing it right tries to make a lot of the same swings he just changes clubs exactly so where we may try to make somewhat of the same swings it's definitely gonna be some variance but and then we just gripped a cue ball a little differently to slow it down or speed it up so a big break here at 98 and I believe it's maybe for coping he's life tournament life I think if if Chang comes to the table he wins he wins the smash watch the cue ball watch the eight okay so he's got another nice starter and he can come down the good side of the table I believe that in between the four and two with the cue ball and maybe even to the other side he's got enough angle to hit this with high right and come to the right side of the two which is what you would want to do well that and it offers a better way to get from the to the three that's the even more importantly well it's in his hands of course when these two players meet there's no one else they can step in for him this is what I like he took a little time to look with nothing that he wouldn't have done it won nothing and and he now nine eight he's not gonna let nine eight change his routine okay so I don't want to get too slow just wants to make sure of a few things and then get on to doing it okay taking a little more time okay he looks like he's cueing the left and coming down and between me oh no a little life that's okay he's just wants to run back to where he's at now really exactly where he's at two rails out I just saw Chang take off his glove and now he's drying his hands you can see him in the top part of your of your picture but you don't see him dry the hands and take the glove off too often him I think he feels like this yeah and if he does he'll just take his time doing so helper get his glove back on and okay so he's got to pull the fall by the four but this is really kind of what you want just don't let up on it you can handle a little distance on the four and you're gonna have a nice angle to shoot the four and get to the five and and also be able to get back to the six so key to this one there's a lot of people try to baby it getting by that ball go ahead and shoot it remember you can handle a little more distance from the floor there's no problem there they'll assume self angle here and that's kind of what I mean as far as sticking to that same stroke also don't try to hold the cue ball up and get closer to the fore and make this little subtle stroke just go ahead and know you can handle another six or eight inches away and you get to make all of the strokes you like yeah these two have played each other enough times that Chang felt that he won't come back to the table and it's looking more and more like he won't but he did give us a thrill when he missed that pretty simple shot that allowed Jane take that last game and once the ball cleaned again of the cue ball cleaned yeah that nifty little tool and the white gloves might say I've said it all week sure can't wait to play with some of these predator pool balls I've really liked the way they they look as far that the looks of them and the way the way they look like they play as well we've seen very few skids and me myself I kind of think the skids happened more often with the player than they do with the the material or some type of imperfect not imperfection but like a dirty ball or something like that Oh everything about those balls is real nice and I haven't heard any complaints no not at all in fact I've seen some compliments from several of the pros yeah one morning I borrowed a predator cue actually and got on one of the tables and hit some balls when there was no one around and they do they they're real they're just nice they seem to needs to slow down a bit oops I mean not saying it's horrible but he's smiling yeah a little smirk ok and I think he's gonna cue this with low yeah well alright he's gonna cut it into the side pocket great match folks no beanie goes on and mr. tooling Chang settles for his $5,000 paycheck we'll be back at 3 o'clock Jimmy Jones and myself signing off
