[Applause] fastest skater featuring Kendall coin Schofield be wrong a spinet Clayton's killer alias Henderson can that consent check I call Matthew personal and two-time fastest heater Thunder McDavid Sergei Fedorov was the first man to win the fastest skater event others who are current players have won at her Jonathan – and Dylan Larkin and Connor McDavid has won the last two this is the first time for Kendall coin Schofield and this will be pretty close if not faster than what Wally's look at that and a terrific move by the man the players all stand in a the bitches to bring Kendall coin Scofield along with some other national team members here to participate in the all-star game and promote the women's game and that lap just did an awful lot of promotion did it ever and it brought everybody to their feet but the one thing I can't believe is just the fearlessness I mean she this was going full speed around the corner the choppy strides look at the determination and I've been and looked faster down there Kevin than it did appear she went flying by and she was a little bit worried before I talked her down below and she was a little bit nervous but you're right she attacked that horse and there's a lot of nervous guys right now that are about you come here when the gauntlet he set the bar high I'll tell you what Kevin or I wanna surprised eyes over on those benches the players weren't here yesterday for the rehearsal as we were to see that laugh so we weren't really surprised at how fast she went they were jumping up on the bench and they couldn't believe it so we saw it firsthand yesterday down on the corner he is an absolutely terrific skater who floats on the ice but that's an unfortunate slip and he's checking an edge there to see what happened I blame the trainer there yeah hopefully it's just an edge I mean the one thing you never want to see is any kind of injury and so often it's that tight tight turns and just hope it's a little bit there in the first one in them was going so steep an angle that he couldn't control her than that right leg went hard into the boards good they're in good for him to want to do it again narrow hastin is just 19 the third overall pick in the 2017 drab agenda Kendall Schofield here for Freeport is a spectacular time what's it mean dude and it's going to beat some of the players in this competition what's it mean do that some of the best in the NHL you know you're constantly testing your limits of competition I know you competed in American Ninja Warrior in June in August I think in Chicago you joined the Chicago professional summer hockey that you can played against Patrick King what's your take on your career to this point you know just follow my dreams believe in myself and FairPoint thanks your time thank you so 1391 for mural hiss cannon on his second start that's a pretty good time and here's Clayton Keller from st. Louis representing the Arizona coyotes Clayton is as small in stature fleet of foot and he burns around his with his right crossovers to the finish line now I think it's a bit of a disadvantage for a lefty to be going this way I think you've talked over naturally better on your forehand side that stick gets in the way doesn't it they don't make an excuse for now he was just slow but yeah I noticed he took a little bigger route around you know they sometimes you try to cut the corner so quickly ain't he got to be worried look at how wide he went around both ends and that takes a little bit of time on I'm concerned about their goal Wortman here we go I think Patterson can go the other way I didn't see you guys warm and not too much so I don't know how much the Occident affected area Elias is deceptively fast and picking up speed in the first corner deceptions his middle name I think with everything that he does winning in Vancouver in his first year and the leading candidate to be Rookie of the Year in the National Hockey they get 14 5 2 in his first-ever skill competition in all-star game you just get a sense of just how smoothie is and now the one thing he does so many things with the puck but he showed there he's got a really good ability to cut those edge he's got the stick in the air and he had a kid good speed in the straightaways there that I think helped him quite a bit and I mean I don't mean to poke holes at it as skating but I think he's only gonna get faster as he gets longer and stronger and more explosive the gym and the strength coach in Vancouver they do some work with that and he'll be even more explosive here's Columbus Blue Jackets cam Atkinson the brothers from Riverside and Greenwich Connecticut won an NCAA scoring championship at Boston College havin a terrific season to the Blue Jackets and here he comes to the finish line and he's at 14-14 1:5 and these are the third again you see the difference just in the shorter player is a little bit of a short choppy strides just trying to make sure after watching his student fall on that first one I think everyone's a little bit more cautious around those corners so he fell but he's still got the fastest time of the competition so far in his restart and here's Jack Eichel as we bring in Scott again Jim thanks very much we got mat bars out here he's getting ready to go and fastest skater but we want to show you a piece of video here not in the corner of the monitor you can see it I hope a little flashback and tell us what you think oh yeah didn't feel too good it's Kevin Bieksa yeah was that your welcome to the NHL yeah it kind of woke me out back she was having a tough start so poking out these right here anything you want to say to it let's give him a little cutter he came back you went down but you came back in the game it was a shoulder cut it demonstrated your toughness and I know you were a Vancouver you got to get going here good luck though he's not holding a grudge you actually thought that was a penalty didn't you I mean it was a little bit late I'm not gonna admit that to his face but like I said he showed toughness and coming back to and finishing the game and I know he's the Vancouver guy with some Vancouver friends and family I'm not sure how they talk about quit l'm a suburb of Vancouver's heads up delicate he's an outstanding player buried Ross's new coach has challenged him to have a complete game and as we get to the halfway mark of the season he is now a complete player in the NHL better defensively than he's ever been and he can still score and you can see he can skate Michael who still has the lead ichael with a thirteen point five eight – is just a little bit of Matthew bars he'll here's the player tracking that we've talked about from the National Hockey League you can just see the route that he takes around a wide turn to the outside and try to cut it quickly on the other side so here's the 2-time reigning champion Connor McDavid the other two daughters 13.4 the fastest time he's done it in he's one of the guys who could carry a puck around the ice here and pretty old fast yeah absolutely it's amazing how he accelerates when he picks up the puck and look at him go tonight in San Jose [Applause] that's a powerful strike and he's wanted again and though you notice the difference there his feets never stop moving Gavin that's the one thing even around the corners he never broke stride they say he's the best on his edges in the league and I know he doesn't want to work in his son device he's very good at edges and he's able to hold the edge and keep stride not many people can do you see a lot of guys in try to do they slip right I can't hold that edge this guy's a special kid yeah some take a little bit of hesitation and stop the stride he just makes sure that his feet are moving the entire time he goes around and and that's what's scary for a defenseman because he could be just idle gliding around and then he popped couple crossovers and he's gone and you're trying to backtrack and he takes your wide and you look silly Connery the first three-time winner of fastest skater in skills competition 13 3 7 8 is a spectacular time but you knew what you had to do heading into the events – what were you thinking I just go as fast I could there's nothing more to it that was the strategy that was the strategy if you can believe it here's the big question did the haircut make any difference in the fastest skater skill tonight I thought so if I had my long hair would've been flopping all over the place so ok it was nice and short thanks going to appreciate your time Jim you

Women have a better chance of being athletes than men because of their body’s structure. Men who become athletes have a better chance of being more skilled athletes due to their body structure. Which is good female hockey players can beat average male hockey players, but usually lose to good male hockey players. Look no further than Serena Williams. Best female tennis player in world history, got swept by the rank 203rd male tennis player. And that same male tennis player was drunk during the match and said he barely made an effort. So yeah. Biology. Hooray.

Next year they need the correct players(for that year) competing for the correct competitions regardless of teams/team player amounts or fan votes.

    Fastest skater
Top 10 speedsters: McDavid, MacKinnon, Eichel, Point, Ehlers, AA, Larkin and so on.

    Accuracy
Top 10 sharpshooters: Ovechkin, Kane, McDavid, Laine, Pastrnak, Rantanen, Stamkos and so on.

    Puck Control
Top 10 stick-handlers: Gaudreau, McDavid, Crosby, MacKinnon, Eichel, Kucherov, Kane and so on.

    Hardest shot
    Obviously Chara, Weber and Hedman.

    Passing
Top 10 assists leaders: Kucherov, Wheeler, Rantanen, Gaudreau, McDavid and so on

You get my point? Who cares if some are in multiple competitions, if its in their skill set let them compete! Then to allow for new faces set a rule the top 5 in each competition get byes next year and the bottom 5 get rotated out. This would counter bad fan voting and allow elite players to shine in multiple categories.
