great review. after the season of skiing experience with them do you still have same very positive feedback on mantra? is vantage or qst close to it as an one quiver for variable snow?

I am a racer for many decades and I’m trying to decide between the 93 and the 100 I am used to skiing on GS skis only all over the West Coast mountains. So I’m considering the 93 in because it may react more like a GS ski. What would you recommend I should be for me?

Great review. I'm currently riding the Backland 102 FR's. I'm 6'3" 210 give or take advanced level skier getting better in moguls, still a little timid in deep power on west coast. I feel like based on this video, I'm down to a choice between the Rustler 10's or Ranger 102's. So questions here, are either ski significantly more stable then my Backlands? Which of the two choices would you say are better carvers on hard-pack and are more stable at speed? Thanks

These videos are brilliant! I'm looking to complement my corduroy-killing Rossi Pursuit HPs (170) with something at the other end of the spectrum. Just got back from CO & MT where I rode Icelantic Natural 101s (178)…just WOW!!! The company is sold out and I don"t think I can get them in Canada anyways. Didn't like the flex/pop of QST 99. Rustler10 has caught my eye but Pinnacle105 seems to match Natural101 profile the most. Thoughts?

Thanks for your great reviews, I was torn between the Head Kore and Salomon QST due to your great input. Before that I was leaning toward the Blizzard Bonafide and Nordica Enforcer which would have probably been a mismatch for my one ski quiver. Can’t wait to get them out West for spring crud.

Great Review! I've been on a Rossignol Actys 200 forever, so way over due for an upgrade. Home base is Winter Park, CO. Working hard to get better in the bumps on expert terrain. Enjoy going thru the trees a well. Not really into cruzing on the groomed runs. Love the powder but powder days seem to be few and far between. Looking for an all mountain all purpose ski. What would you recommend for someone like me?

Currently skiing 2009 K2 Xplorer in the 177 length. I am 6' and 175lb and live in the Midwest, so the typical conditions that I see are hardpack to icy, with occasional soft snow. I do get out west occasionally and will ski the entire mountain with a preference to ungroomed soft snow. Considering the Mantra M5 as a one-ski quiver, as from what I have read and heard performs well in all conditions. Do you think this would be an appropriate ski for me? Any others that I should be giving consideration to?

Super interested in the MX 99. I ski the Enforcer now. Trying to decide if I should make the switch. Or even if I should go to the BMX105. Thoughts?

Hi SkiEssentials! Thanks for putting up these great and honest reviews! I got one question. How would you compare the Blizzard Rustler 9 to the Salomon QST 99?

A lot of other ski reviewers could learn a lot from watching your video…very impressive! I'm between a rock and a hard place, the choice between the Rossignol Sky 7 HD & The Salomon QST 99. Probably couldn't go wrong either way…

Why doest anyone but J Skis on these reviews they arent a massive company but they are definately making some of the most popular, unique, and well built skis out there. Especially if you are in New England like you!!

A question from a newer skier here considering upgrading. I'm in my second season of skiing and my skill has improved considerably. I'm looking to upgrade from my Elan explore 6's.
Now, I'm not a brand loyalist or "fanboy" type, but I have noticed I don't see Elan included in this or many other comparison type reviews I have watched, even from other review sources. Is Elan an uncommon brand in North America or something like that? (I live in Canada.)

Jeff, Awesome review. Thanks for taking the time! quick question. Looking for a Vermont tree ski for when the snow is good. My daily driver is the Monster 88 at Killington. I'm 6.1 200lb's. advanced skier and sort of old (58?) What do you suggest I try? Thanks!
