Good game, but only 1 player on the floor that night did anything in the NBA. Grant Hill

It was basically a home game for Duke. But Grant Hill wore down in the 2nd half. Arkansas was too deep, strong and talented.

I love the fact the Hogs embraced the Duke players, Lang and Hill. And how about Oliver Miller giving them hugs?

Mike you will win a national title some day. I believe you were brought back here to win it. After 17 years as an assistant under Nolan, and the years you have put in as head coach. Your the one to bring it back home.

I'm 50 years old, and I remember the days of Eddie Sutton. I remember the days of the triplets. Shaw and Hastings. Younger people look them up. I remember the day broyles hired Nolan. I remember thinking your bringing this up tempo guy from Tulsa to run our program. When we have nothing but slow down players. But, in the end, he won a national title. Now in 2018, I'm still alive to see our football program hire a up tempo guy. To run an up tempo offense. Am I seeing history repeat itself. Young people watch, you will be me in the years to come.

Scotty Thurman's coach used to hold a broom up so s.t could have high arch on his shots and that did Duke in on that last second shot…

That Arkansas team was the only team that probably ever, actually, legitimately intimidated me. They were big, mean and just beat teams up. But people forget they could run and gun, too.

My mom is good friends with one of Corliss' cousins. She brought us some autographed pictures and a basketball. I loved ** too, she is a good soul.

Respect to the Hogs for two things:

    1. Beating Duke in this title game
    2. Getting the hell out of a Texas run conference and being before their time. 20 years later, my Huskers saw the same light the Hogs saw all those years ago. That is quite frankly the thing we have the most in common with U of Arkansas.

Loved watching those Nolan Richardson teams in the day as well.

That was a great season and if not for a few bad minutes in the championship game the next year we would have had a repeat.

Love those Hogs! Mr. Clinton & his wonderful mom in the building! Corliss rocked & Nolan is the best coach UA ever had! Hope Mr. Anderson can replicate his success (sure he can). Kudos to Duke – a warm, receptive & as always competitive host. Really admire Coach K's ability to be successfull, no matter the setting!

As a Duke fan, I'm still mad at Scotty for hitting that damn shot! This would have been a 3-peat for Duke. But, this was one of the greatest national championship games ever! Corliss "Big Nasty" Williamson was unstoppable. I was actually happy for Coach Richardson wayyyy down deep. #goblue

Forgot how back and forth this game was. A young Jeff Capel who is now an assistant at Duke. Corliss was a beast downlow but never turned into a Charles Barkley like I though he would. 40 minutes of hell, that's how to play!

Corliss was such a beast. I remember when they came into Rupp, me obviously thinking it was another win for the Cats. And Nolan's boys took it to Kentucky that day. But UK did get some revenge in the SEC tournament. I will never understand how Scotty Thurman didn't play NBA ball. That always puzzled me.

The passing in this game was amazing. I love old school basketball. And Grant Hill man so smooth. Too bad he got hurt in 2000 because before that he was on pace to be what Lebron and Kobe ended up being in NBA…MegaStar Champs.
