These are the 10 most liveable cities in the
world, according to monocle.com Stockholm: top notch education and welfare,
but needs more integration for immigrants to increase diversity. Auckland: hosted the rugby world cup did wonders,
motivating it to create two new entertainment precincts and public transport greatly improved. Sydney: Innovative mixed use districts incorporating
cycle paths, verticle gardens are one way the Australian waterside giant is becoming
more sophisticated. The central park complex is a triumph in green architecture that can
serve as an example for the rest of the world. Tokyo: hidden under the facade of a neon-lit
megacity is a small town spirit featuring world class shopping and business opportunities. Melbourne: Australia’s cultural hub is getting
even better with a big push to ease traffic congestion. Munich: Unemplyment is low, but failure to
act on a few key projects has hurt Munich’s standing. Its airport needs a third runway
to compete with the other global cities on this list. Vienna: continues to evolve from a beautiful
relic to a modernized classic. Affordable housing and an imminent brand new campus for
the Vienna University’s school for economics and business will inject youth into the city. Copenhagen: the danes are the happiest people
on earth because of places like this, with near-perfect integration between city life
and the outdoors. The city aims to be carbon neutral by 2025. Helsinki, Finland: crowned world design capital
2012, it is unveiling a new metro line and converting its harbors into attractive residential
areas. Helsinki is a city where good ideas can quickly come to life. Zurich: with 50 impressive museums, concert
halls and theatres for a smaller city and a strict corporate culture, this clean, beautiful
city is one larger cities should learn from. In the end the cities that make the cut are
not just OK, but places that are benchmarks for urban renaissance and rigorous reinvention
in everything from environmental policy to transport. No city in the Americas made the
top 10 and no city in South America or Africa made the top 25. Take our poll below linked below, which city
do you think is the most-liveable? And help this conversation spread by liking, favoriting,

I have no idea why Oslo isn't on this list. Maybe it's too small or something, but when Copenhagen is third and Helsinki is second, I feel offended that Oslo is not on the list at all.

Knoxville Tennessee is the place! I was living in Europe and I literally could have chosen any place to live. After extensive searching I chose Knoxville Tennessee. You just can't beat it. Great weather, good economy, light traffic, great mild weather, the mountains, and FANTASTIC people. Also, inexpensive and affordable housing! My wife and 4 year old daughter Scarlett love Knoxville!

Obviously heavily biased towards Australia.  And who would want to be cut off the world and live in Auckland?  I would exclude Stockholm. It is a lovely city, but the weather is lousy and cold for most of the year. Helsinki, dead cold and boring city,  Instead, I would rate Prague and Barcelona as cities to live in.  Barcelona has great weather, good food and beaches. Prague, has culture and romance and it is centrally positioned with regards to Berlin, Munich, Vienna, or Budapest.

London is by far the best city to live in if you hace money, or a well paid job . There is no other city in the world to match it. If it wasn't for earthquakes, the Tokyo would be the number 2. The cities like Madrid and Rome are great culural metropoles, with relatively low cost of living. VIenna, Prague, Lisbon and Florence, easily outshine Amsterdam, Brussels, or Cobenhaven. Stockholm is alright, but too cold and Berlin is now full of Arab refugees and Gypsies, so you need to take that into consideration. If you are considering Melbourne, or Sydney, you might just as well go for Cape Town. It is a stunning city, with fantastic scenery and hell of a lot to do, from ostrich riding, surfing to wine tasting and skiing in the neighbouring Drakensberg mountains. South Africa is a world in one country. I find Melbourne and specially Sydney, an utterly boring place to live in.

First of all this is your opinion about the most liveable cities in the world. Secondly Scandinavia is one of the most boring countries with a large amount of suicides every year!! Another point which about people in Scandinavia are very unsocial and not warm welcoming other immigrants, how do you expect the country to be the most liveable lands in the world.
I think you need to refresh your researches!!
I would say one of the most beautiful and peaceful cities in the world are : Copenhagen, Stockholm , Oslo, Moscow. Yes they are.

POINTS should be given as to which city/nation has adopted maximum foreigners in its embrace. Small nations/cities will edge out big nations/cities at any time. Living in COCOON is not acceptable. They should embrace foreigners.

The link to the poll is not working, for me at least. It's a very interesting survey especially when seen through the eyes of one living in an overpopulated third world country. We have a lot of catching up to do, but it's a lot of institutional machinery holding it back.

All these countries are fighting for cultural existence! Go back to school and unlearn the BS you've been fed by multicultural nazis. Sweden is a jewel and third world sickness should never have been let anywhere near this Bastian of excellence and western values. FU .
